Great review. I'm a fellow N Irish man and watch addict. Currently I own a farer aqua compressor (although I could own about five of their watches!) and am getting a salmon tribus tri01 from Santa in a few days time! Can't wait to put it on and hopefully enjoy it!

I got one in gun metal with the 70% discount.
I’m really loving it.Glad I got the bracelet as I think it really makes the watch pop.
Some may be worried about scratching the high polish but I don’t treat this as a tool watch.
    Micro adjustment on clasp.

First I've seen of your channel i bought the same watch but haven't worn it but a few times basically because i didn't know how to set the GMT hand so thank you for explaining it so well, I bought the watch about a year ago because i wanted a GMT & the price was only $530 I'll probably have to watch this a few times to figure it out but thank you for the great review !
I've subscribed & will recommend your channel 👍

Fabulous review! Reviewing from an enthusiast's perspective allows you to pick up on things no one else notices, like that wonderful play of yellow and black on the bezel! (I love that too, and the way it reverses the colors happily fixes the initially puzzling decision to use yellow for the night portion of the GMT and black for the day.) Your hi-fi audio-visuals are great too! (I don't mean the music, which I can take or leave, but the pristine quality of your images and voice, which sounds great! Indeed, your sound comes through in "spatial audio" on my AirPods Max -- so that when I swivel my head your position stays fixed -- which is supercool.) I liked that you also appreciate just how nice the case it (!); I've never felt one quite so smooth and well integrated (and have a Rolex, Omega, etc.). FWIW, I think the Gunmetal looks better with the black face of the 02 but I ordered the steel because I was concerned that the coating would *really* highlight any scratches (plus the steel matches my wedding ring better, though I see the opposite may be true for you). Thanks for the great work; you more than earned an eager subscriber here!

Thanks so much Iain! That’s very kind of you to say. I kept the gun metal but really would have been equally as happy with the Steel. I’m traveling in Ireland at the moment and have a box of 7 watches including a Tudor GMT, Ginault and 4 Tribus, and honestly haven’t yet worn anything other than the TRI-02. Superb pieces and especially comfortable to wear (not to mention uniquely styled and superbly built)

Nice job on the review! Many of the pics on the Tribus site showing the darker finish make it appear more black than it is, but the descriptions correctly call it gunmetal as do the model designations. The only 'black' in the model designation is in regard to the dial and leather strap color, the cases are listed as either 'steel' or 'gun' for their chronometer models. Some of their non-chronometer series like the MDS models do have black PVD finishes and those are correctly designated as 'black'. Thanks and keep up the fine work.

Great review - I've had my TRI-02 now for a couple of weeks and I'm very happy with it so far and you do a brilliant job of summarising what's so great about it. I'd agree wholeheartedly with your point about lume though - it boggles the mind why this watch doesn't have any, the dial has been perfectly designed for it and it really would elevate it just that little bit higher. I also can't un-see that on the GMT internal bezel the daylight hours are (06h - 18h) are black and the night-time hours (18h - 06h) are yellow, making an 'at a glance' day/night check on the timezone you're tracking confusing - happy to forgive that though as I'm not likely to make much 'proper' use of this lovely complication. The design, fit and general quality of the watch though are fantastic and I'm looking forward to enjoying mine for many years to come.

Thanks so much Grant, enjoy the watch, I've been wearing it pretty much non-stop since it arrived. I ended up keeping the gun metal version.

My Seiko had that issue of moving when you went to lock it and no mater what I did it was impossible to lock it at the position I wanted

Ghastly. I can see why they went bust.
