Stanton Miranda is otherwise known as Thick Pigeon, whose album "Two Crazy Cowboys" was issued on Factory Records; the same label that Joy Division hailed from. In fact, two members of New Order play with Thick Pigeon, so this all goes hand in hand, and Stanton has her place in the fold. Never heard her cover, I like.
At first I didn't like this b/c of the faster tempo and all the na na na's. Then I listened to it years later and thought it's the best LWTUA cover yet - still do.
I really like this cover. I like the original much better BUT this was the first version I ever heard as a kid. My mom had it on an old tape along with other new order nin smashing pumpkins and other which ended up being my favs! I have a cool mom.
Will people finally let Ian rest in peace and not release crappy cover versions of this song? Along with Susannah and the Magic Orchestra, possibly the worst rendition I have ever heard of my favorite song...

The singer has really turned the original tone of the music around. Not an easy thing to do, but works here.
Great cover, and from one of the best, and my two favorite, tribute albums ever. The other one being Pearls in the Snow: The Songs of Kinky Friedman.

the song itself is TIMELESS, any artist who approaches this song with an open awareness will be able to convey the same message of ian curtis.
