I need my skeletal remains turned into an animatronic and synced to a recording of me talking about the human bone structure and what legs do. I'm going to make sure that happens.
"Welcome to DisneyWorld." Meanwhile the player piano plays the Mickey Mouse Club theme from the sixties as you step off the Dumbo Train. Kids place the Mulan Cricket on top of a man's head and Snow White's apple falls to the ground awaiting for a gentleman to pick it up.
Unlikely to ever happen but wouldn't be amazing if a toy company was to release a simplified version of this as a building kit? Robotics and animatronics have always fascinated me!
looks like something that was taken out of the far future....I was expecting this level of realism in movement in robots only to exist 30 years from now...and it already exists ! just wow the future is already here, crazy !
personally I think Mo'at's animatronic did her justice and its absolutely wonderful to see such a close up of her. I wish there were more animatronics like her and Jake in World of Pandora, like one of Neytiri
Walt Disney Imagineering has been fabricating its own electronically-controlled and mechanically-animated puppets since the 1960's. The group really invented the medium, but, lately, Disney has been ordering some of its figures and show-action equipment from third parties in order to save money.
I wonder why the folks who do this sorta stuff never manage to touch base with the folks building the walking-around robots like Atlas or ASIMO. The mannequins are always static pieces and the practical walking robots are blank-faced automatons. What's it gonna take for the two to finally meet?
Probably just neutrally buoyant. If you get the ratio between air and weight just right, they'll sit there without floating up or sinking down. The cables for the actual mechanics to make them move are hidden in the 'umbilical cord'.
Wow! That was amazing! I believe there is no need for so much detail on the teeth or some features that guests will never notice in low light and at a distance. They should take care of the facial expressions more, rather than pay to much attention to the teeth, in my opinion... Anyway, You have a new subscriber to your channel :-)
I went to pandora it was amazing expassially that ride it felt like you were flying it even felt the the banchees you were riding were breathing it was life like i could not keep my mouth closed it was breath taking i kept thinking oh wow, its heavan in a floating island, well it only seems like its floating. And yes the ride is in a huge floating island
Rovert shaman - a person regarded as having access to, and influence in, the world of good and evil spirits the animatronic in the video is the shaman of the na'vi race NOT SHADMAN
theyve certainly mastered the art of natural motion in robots....trully impressive, now only if it could be integrated in realistic looking regular human beings....and also it has to be cheap, it sure is expensive but hopefully the price tag of this tech will lower down at some point in the future.
What if ... Disney actually made mass-produced synths for the theme parks instead of animatronics? I would def not go there because of Westworld vibes, geez.
I'm curious if anyone knows if this is a Garner Holt animatronic? As you may know, Disney and Garner Holt have a long history of working together. Garner Holt provides mini of Disney's animatronic figures. I'm wondering if breakthrough technology displayed here is actually from Garner Holt or from Disney...?
These things are probably not intelligent however there are robots out there with AI and they are getting smarter every year. Check out Sophia if you haven’t done so already

Just wait until they get the muscle fibers working we could be seeing some insane realism then
wow... it's so smooth it actually looks like cgi!
personally I think Mo'at's animatronic did her justice and its absolutely wonderful to see such a close up of her. I wish there were more animatronics like her and Jake in World of Pandora, like one of Neytiri
Whenever Disney "re-imagines" an animated classic as a live action film, they use so much CGI that they’re essentially making an animated film.
When the robot uprising comes, I'm blaming Disney
A face only a mother could love.
this looks so awesome
It still blinks too slowly, lol.
This won’t end well... FNAF will come to life congrats
It already has. 😉 ruclips.net/video/YOyv2aLbvfw/видео.html
One step closer to Westworld 😊
Disney is the company that’s closest to making IRL robots.
Fantastic video, Thanks for putting it together!
Thanks for the slideshow
disney should create a robotics company
IKR? Them working together with the Boston Dynamics folks would be quite a pairup.
Just wait till the Chinese start copying
They work with a robotics company.

Fantastic!
I feel bad for the night guards
Jesus. Disney have some of the best.
** buy some of the best
I have a fear of robots WHY am I doing this to myself!!!
All the tech in the world can’t beat my Lion Robots!🤣
Oh hey! Didn't expect to see you here! 😀

Everyone gangsta until he puts funtime Freddy's head on and starts singing let it go
Disney: Become Human
I see Disney uses magnets to attach and remove the skin, clever!
Now THAT is a frickin pice of art
One might even say...a fucking innovation...

Agreed. 😊
I want to know how the Avatar(from the queue) that floats in the water.

Jonathan R. H. That makes sense. That was kinda what I thought too how it worked.
Probably ropes/mechanical help
the umbilical cord has to be waterproof so the animatronic's controller doesn't short circuit
What the.....I tell you guys the only thing we need to do to screw ourselves with machines is give them intelligence.
Teeth look a bit...real?
So Boston Dynamics isn't the only impressive company building robots in Disney's case animatronic.
Who designed this? What team or company was involved? Drop a link. I would love to work on this
Looks like something right out of the 1995 Ghost in the Shell movie

I was just there and it was amazingly smooth and huge! I wouldn’t suggest the ride tho.
How big is it???
Welcome to the institute
Terminator 2 looks great guys
Change your profile picture to something original.

I went on the ride! That animatronic was amazing and huge

I’m guessing they used motion capture to program it. It makes it more lifelike that way
Wow ._. Disney ._. Wow._. Poppy is fantastic ._.
THIS COULD HAVE BEEN ENNARD.
This + Boston Dynamics = we're fucked.
Maybe in the future this 10 million dollar head will be in child toys for 10 dollars lol
Was it actually exposed like that?
the origins of WestWorld

Quien I went to the ride on WDW I could not see the animatronic, it was being fixed, waited 2 hrs for nothing, I wanted to see this in person :'(
Mr not-a-synth
I'd say the eyes aren't fast enough.
Is this subcontracted from Garner Holt studios?
When they will create a Westworld theme park with robots?
Five Nights at Disney?
Then you think, how amazingly our God created our face.
Cool. Terrifying, but cool.
it'll be neat when they make one like 30 times bigger
Judson Putnii well.. the yeti but it doesn't work...
The Yeti was built so big that its motion was causing structural damage to Everest, which wasn't engineered properly.
Now motorize them and give them power of A.I :D
OH MY GOD!
And I thought the animatronics in Fnaf were creepy...
It's an endo skeleton.
