Mesmer: Beyond Animatronics

- Mesmer is a system for building lifelike humanoid robots - all the parts that are needed to breathe life into a character.
Hardware - Motors, Electronics and Connectors
Sensors - Cameras, Depth Sensors, LIDAR, Microphones
Firmware - Motor control for speed, position and torque
Software - For control of Animation, interaction, audio and lighting
Most importantly all of these components were designed from scratch by Engineered Arts Ltd specifically for humanoid robots, so everything fits and works together in perfect harmony. Other companies use a hodgepodge of bits from various vendors that often don’t work well together.
Mesmer is powerful, elegant and cost-effective because you are not paying for multiple profit margins that inflate the price. Наука
Extremely inspiring. You are one among the unbelievable creators in the field of robotics.
Unbelievable. The facial expressions of Shri Sai Baba are amazing. Hard to believe that this is a robot.
As long as Engineered Arts & Boston Dynamics don't decide to merge, and rename themselves "Cyberdyne Systems", I think we're safe...for now...from real-world T-series cybernetic AI robots taking over.
Uummm Atlas + Mesmer = ?????
The rockafire explosion/cec: Our true successors
Is it Turnigy HD brushless gimbal Motor that you're using ? The movements are so smooth, it's astonishing. Dream job ! Greetings from France
Yeah. I was gonna say, their "custom built motors" look an awful lot like camera gimbal stabilization servos.
@@htomerif they say its custom servo because they run their own control circuitry to run the brushless dc motor which they use off the shelf
scary amazing fantastic
Very nice.
Interesting software suit
Very impossible and nice👏👏👍
Holy there just like the avatar ones really really advanced O_O
.o. this might be the real life version of detriot become human O_O
i need this job
Maybe Chobits will be real sooner than I expected.
I love this ❤️❤️
Music in the background??? sounds amazing! and yes, the tech is very impressive too!
Thanks very much. The track is "The Way Home" by Tony Anderson
Engineered Arts Thank you very much!

What is the method of action with the neck of that animatronic??
Extremely impressive.
Thanks Can Doo! Really kind words.
Awe-some. I dont know if I should apply for a work there. Or buy your Robotimatronics 😊😊😊😊
Thank-you. You should definitely do both. For the job: www.engineeredarts.co.uk/jobs/
It's on sale for the robot.
Westworld 1.0
More like Westworld 0.5 pre-alpha.
@@GizmoMaltese yeah, it's intentionally rudimentary. I assume intentional. because there's animatronics that could fool the best of us.
These models are at Shirdi
So, A-1000 figures?
Can I use these
Uncanny Valley isn't a thing you want to enter - that's where things look really disturbing.
So that's what the movie idustry is cooking huh?
50~100 taon lagi.
pasti bakalan keliatan primitif.
berasa liat teknologi dari taon 30~50 an.
Very important question
Do you guys live in Detroit?
The future is near
The skins are cool but the mechanical design are sub impressive. Those binary blinks ugh. Check out Will Cogley’s work for nice eye movements
Binary?. Custom servos with 14bit position control.. Also note this model is 2 gens behind current tech
Engineered Arts The eyelids look like they have only two positions: open and closed. Their movement don’t feel natural. It’s not a matter of what the servo can do, it’s how you program it to render a nice movement that matters.
@@ArnaudMEURET yep great constructive criticism I agree with you
That's fucking scary....
1:48 please dont tell me thats spiderman
Okay

WestWorld
He he HELL. Umm, what's that on your shoulder buddy?
What news for 2020?
Beautiful things Alex..we have been busy in our lockdown workshops making the stuff of dreams... Videos soon
@@EngineeredArtsLtd thank's for your feedback!
My dream is to have an animatronic puppet, but I can't afford it, I would like someone willing to give me one haha.
Interesting they animated Sai Baba....
This is some terrifying West World shit.
This is really cool but I’m terrified
This is why I will never invent do to the internet I wish I could make my own humanoid heh I already did
1:29 2 x linux ! 😸
All our robots run on Ubuntu - including #Ameca
Can a robot study, learn, & duplicate human movements?
in theory absolutely yes, however, this company seems invested in other areas than this type of AI focus. Doing this level of AI would be a huge project I doubt they will take the time to do
@@artbyrobot1 is Ameca (or "relatives") a good example? Thank you 🤓
@@j.lietka9406 a good example of what?
@@artbyrobot1 "Ameca" is like these complex creations. But his face isn't quite as detailed as these. The idea is could they, with the right instructions, try to mimic us, on their own?
@@j.lietka9406 yes they can mimic us on their own. My robot will likely do this but even for me, this would be a longer term goal that would be shelved until tons of other more pressing issues are done. This is like a finishing touch type of thing to add.
i wouldn't have said "a trip into the uncanny valley" as that refers to a 'valley' in the appeal curve, i.e. where stuff looks real but bad
so is it beyond the valley of the uncanny?
eh it looks pretty good
@@EngineeredArtsLtd Still inside it, but desperately trying to crawl out. Some of the movements and expressions are wonky, but that's expected. When robotics improve, so will Mesmer.
@@anonymouspseudonym7914 no they don't need improved robotics they merely need more attention to detail in their execution and code
Scary. Someone can control “hack” your robot in order to spy on you or manipulate you.
I don't like human faced animatronics I prefer the robot endoskeleton
Creative Engineering is better at making animatronics.
Creepy
nightmare fuel
They. Will take over the world dum dums
Did your robot just assume my gender!? REEEE!!!!
These are humanoid computer's by whatever you create is you're choice
