Hello Memo. This is hands down our favourite monstera in our collection. We transitioned it to semi-hydro/ self-watering and attached it to a d-back mosspole. Eight months later we’ve had to extend the pole from 90 to 180cm to accommodate her growth. The leaves have sized up nicely and it’s been a zero drama plant.💚👍😁
Your esqueleto sounds like a superstar! 🌟 Extending the moss pole must’ve been so satisfying-it’s amazing how these plants thrive with the right care. Zero drama plants are the best! 💚👏
Mine is gigantic and I dearly love it. It's easy to care for and it's one of my faves. If you put it on a moss pole make sure it's a robust one because it can get huge
You keep showing me these gorgeous plants but I have no more room and my husband threatens to compost them all if I get more. 😭 Should I tell him I have a Glorious coming this week?😂 Another great vid Memo. Thank you. 🙏👍
I’ve purchased multiples of this plant. I can’t keep a small one alive. Luckily, here in the US, we can but a mature one from Costa Farms for a relatively inexpensive price. I currently have one in a chunky aroid mix and one in PON. Both are in no drainage. The one in soil is doing much better. I’m about to chop up my PON plant and sell all but the top cut. That’ll go in with my soil plant. I’ve found it needs a lot of light to keep tight internodal spacing. It’s also one of the few plants my cat won’t leave alone. 😢
Same mine keeps yellowing for some reason. It’s not over watered and it’s not getting too much light. However I did put it in my cabinet and it grew a leaf I wash shocked, so it’s probably the temps in my room. Mine is a baby as well 🤷♀️🤷♀️
Wow, sounds like you’ve really experimented with different setups! 🌱 Love that you're getting success with soil-it’s such a game-changer sometimes. Tight internodal spacing is a great tip too! Keep us posted on how your chop-and-prop goes! ✂️💚
That is a very beautiful plant, I love it 🤩 Seems like every time I watch one of your videos my wishlist is getting longer😅😂 I gave up on the M. adansonii cause they always came with thrips, but the esqueleto would be an even more beautiful alternative 🌿🌱
Hello, (i live in north of Tunisia a similar climate to greece) i got one about two years ago, i got it a bit smaller than yours now. I have propagated it directly and put the head cutting in a pole, always keeping it moist and fertiliser with every watering at small dose. Now she is on her third extension with leaves over 60cm in length. She was never slow, two leaves a month when she was smaller now it’s a leaf per month. Even now it’s winter she slowed a bit but still pushing a leaf after the previous one finished hardening
Your climate sounds perfect for this plant! 🌞 Love hearing how well it’s thriving for you-60cm leaves are goals! 🌿💚 Propagating right away was such a smart move too. Well done! 👏
I got lucky! 🍀My "Plant Guy" brought in 8 of these beauties and I just happened to be there during his delivery. 👋 I love this plant. It is so elegant and easygoing. I put this beauty on a moss pole. ❤🌿 Yes it is a slow grower and now it being winter it has not put on any new leaves.🍃😮
That’s such amazing luck! 🍀 Sounds like you snagged a true beauty. Esqueletos are definitely elegant, even if they like to take their time growing. Keep up the great work with the moss pole-it makes such a difference! 🌿❤
I'm in the States and was able to get one of the Costa TCs last March for $50. It was at least 3 feet tall with mature foliage when it arrived and it never skipped a beat. I got it on a moss pole which I've since trippled and it rooted right in. I use a standing Barrina light to keep the leaves facing front and it's actually rather compact - especially considering there are two plants in the pot. They each put out a leaf a month. The leaf size has taken a hit this winter (possibly root bound) and I'm thinking I'll give the roots a trim and keep it in it's 10-inch pot because I love it at it's current size. It's a very elegant plant but I'm not all about sizing up. I want to enjoy my plants in my space and have no problem pruning the vines to keep it at its current height. It's nearly six feet tall. I have high ceilings, but I would prefer a more traditional green monstera large form like the Brazil (or my Thai Con) take up the space my 12 foot ceilings allow for. Do you think a root prune is a good idea to help keep it in it's current pot? Thank you so much for your fabulous videos. I had my hands in roots at the end of the one where you asked if we like your chatty content - Memo,I love all your content! I wouldn't mind if you got a little more personal - I love seeing your family gardens in Greece and Cyprus! I hope you're enjoying your visit! 💚
Six feet tall and thriving-what a showstopper! 🌟 Root pruning could definitely help maintain its size, especially if it's a little root-bound. Love how you’re balancing elegance with practicality. Thank you so much for your kind words-so glad you enjoy the chatty content! 💚😊
This is such a beautiful plant. It´s been on my wish list for years (it was hard to get here and now I don´t have enough space). The moment I can accommodate it, I´m going to buy it :-) The fact that it´s slow is even better :-D
first 😏 my gf thought this was a obliqua peru since i tried purchasing the plant years ago but got fooled with a adasonii but still love it nevertheless. This looks like a maturing adasonii in my opinion but with a different leaf shape
First! 😏 Totally hear you on the mix-up-adansonii vs. esqueleto confusion happens to the best of us! That different leaf shape does set it apart though. Glad you're still loving your plant journey! 🌿💚
Hey Memo, long time no chat, how are you doing? I got mine as a cutting for 20$ CAD. It seems pretty available in Canada, I have seen some mature specimens in grocery stores, for mid double digits. It’s definitely a bit slow compared with adansonii, and I find them a bit harder to root into mosspole than other clambers I noticed that this plant produces a lot of mucilage when unfurling, and I sometimes need to wash it away with spray or shower to allow the leaf to develop properly.
North! Long time no chat-so good to hear from you! 🙌 I’m doing great, thanks for asking-hope you’re doing well too! 😊 $20 CAD for a cutting is such a steal! 💸 It’s crazy that you can even find mature specimens in grocery stores-Canada sounds like a plant paradise! 🪴 Totally agree that Esqueletos can be a bit tricky to root into moss poles compared to other climbers, but it sounds like you’re handling it like a pro. 🌿💪 That mucilage tip is gold! 🌟 I’ve definitely noticed it too, and rinsing it off really helps with proper unfurling. Thanks for sharing that gem-let’s catch up properly soon!
Had a baby w three leaves a year ago had to chop the top cutting twice now - lots of light and humidity- pole is six foot and have two three foot babies

That Esqueleto looks like something that I would have crocheted!
Crochet-inspired plants? Love the creativity! 😂 Maybe it’s time for a plant-themed crochet project? 🌿🧶
I love the esquelleto my is still a little baby only had a few months but can’t wait for it to size up xx
Yay for baby plants! 🍼🌿 Watching them size up is the best part. Keep nurturing it-it’ll reward you soon enough! 💚😊
@ definitely rewarding watching them grow I am getting better at being patient and getting a smaller plant and enjoying watching them thrive 🤞

Haha, the eternal houseplant struggle! 😂 You might need to sneak that Glorious in! 😉 Thanks for always supporting the channel-you rock! 🌟💚
Thanks for the video, Memo
You're so welcome, Agnes! Thanks for watching-so glad you enjoyed the video! 🌟💚
Brilliant video
Thank you so much, Adam! So glad you enjoyed it! 🌟💚
Love my Esqueleto. Growing on a stake.
Love hearing how you’re growing yours on a stake! Esqueletos really shine with any support it seems. 🌿💪
💚 Thanks Memo!
Thanks for always showing love, Hanstera! 💚 Appreciate you sticking around and enjoying the plant chats! 😊🌿

Thrips are such a pain-I feel you! 😩 But yes, the esqueleto is a next-level upgrade. Hope it makes its way onto your wishlist soon! 🌟💚

My pallidiforum is growing a new leaf. I did what you said it's in soil now from semi hydro. Kalo taxidi memo x😊
Yay, Debbie! 🎉 So happy to hear your pallidiforum is thriving in soil now-sounds like it’s loving the change. 🌱 Euxaristo! 🇬🇷😊
It’s a beautiful plant 😀🇨🇦
Agreed-it’s a stunner! 🌟 Thanks for watching, Linda! Greetings to 🇨🇦 from me and my plants! 🌿💚
I love this plant but mine died within a couple of months ( was a cutting ). I am looking for a new one though
Sorry to hear your cutting didn’t make it! 😢 Esqueletos can be tricky at first. Hope you find another one soon-good luck on your hunt! 🍀💚

Beware of adansonii sellers claiming it’s Esqueletto.
YES! That’s such a good reminder. Adansonii sellers can be sneaky! 😅 Thanks for spreading the word! 💡🌿

My esqueleto grew so fast!!! It fell over a few times and many of it's leaves got damaged so I chopped it up and started it again.
