The most heart breaking thing for me is Hannah saying constantly "don't be sorry Alyssa" it is just a game but the actions they have to do with eachother who they're with in such close quarters for so long must take such an emotional toll. Hannah understands the emotional turmoil that Alyssa's going through but can't even comfort her to tell her everythings going to be okay.
Yeah when I saw this part, I was so sad I felt like I was in their chair, it was just a game, Alyssa did a great job so far fooling everyone as a traitor.
What Wilf and Amanda did to Alyssa was horrible, I know it’s a game but Alyssa saved Will from being voted so many times by convincing everyone not to vote him, I get that he had to save herself, but the three traitors could’ve easily pinned the votes on Rayan or someone else, imagine how Alyssa must’ve felt knowing that neither of her “allies” valued her enough and betrayed and blindsided her
Yes but then it would have been so obvious that will and Amanda weren’t voting for her, then she turns out to be a traitor, people would turn on the traitors so quick, perfect game play.
@@alexparkinson9409 Amanda still should’ve voted for Wilfred instead of Alyssa, Wilfred had to be covered by Alyssa and Amanda so many times and he did so awful under pressure
@@highonsugar6273 I think fair play to wilf for pulling it off and blaming alyssa because it was a last minute decision that saved himself, but I think with amanda being safe and she was always going to have to vote out a traitor I think she should have voted wilf. voting alyssa put 2 knifes in her back, I understand why wilf blamed her, but I think it was out of order especially when amanda had a choice. That's the nature of the game. 🤷🏼♂️. What I'd find difficult in that highly charged situation is to not reveal the identity of my other Traitors if I'd have been backstabbed by them! In the heat of the moment it would be hard not to reveal that. They must get warned by the show producers heavily.
They're playing a game but its difficult not to be emotional about it. Alyssa was just playing her role but feels really guilty. Amanda and Wilf are also just playing their roles but their astonished response to Alyssa's admission made me feel a bit sick. A poisoned chalice is like a cursed gift. A chalice is an ornate cup that would have contained wine or some other ceremonial drink consumed as part of religious or spiritual ceremonies. When people say poisoned chalice it described something, usually an opportunity or a responsibility, that brings about their downfall. In this case she wanted to be a traitor, it’s more fun, chance to win more money, but it takes an emotional toll.
@@hectorp.c6955 Yes, I think the metaphor has been used a couple of times in the series as the traitors don't get a choice in being the traitors - they received one of the poisoned chalices.
The original poisoned chalice is to be found in the Bible Matthew 26; 36-46. In the garden of Gethsemane before being arrested by the Romans Jesus asks God "to let this cup pass from me" -- to not let him take on the sins of mankind by being crucified, but it was meant to be "the spirit was willing, but the flesh was weak"
