- Hit BBC sitcom Ghosts is back with a spook-tacular special for Red Nose Day, and they have a surprise guest… none other than global superstar Kylie Minogue! When Kylie and her manager (played by Tanya Moodie) arrive at Button House to see if it's a suitable concert venue, the ghosts get the shock of their (after) lives.

And hopefully reunite with ghost Havers, who's making a comeback (not sure whether in a flashback or present day, but the role is listed on the actor's online resume for 2023 as well as 2020)

I’m taking this as canon. I’ve been waiting & wanting someone else to see the ghosts for a long time!
I would like to think it’s Canon and that it’s Kylie who is the only other person (in the British version at least) that can see Ghosts is both amazing and weird at the same time.

@@dubbingsync There's no reasin why it can't be canon. It doesn't contradict anything we already know, the humour fits in, Kylie and her manager fit in perfectly, yes - it's canon. And we'll set Lady Button in anyone who says it isn't.

One could say the same about the uk ADAPTATIONS of before we die (innan vi dör), professor t, and crime scene cleaner, the tunnel, etc.
Every adaptation is not without criticism. I can appreciate usa ghosts AND all uk adaptations of foreign shows, as listed above.
Brits also adapted these american shows/sitcoms: Good times, maude, married with children, law and order, mad about you, who's the boss, that 70s show, brighton belles (golden girls)...so....

i read Charles was told he has to wear military instead of the traditional robes. And instead of classic music, it must be LGBTQIA+ and black music.
This was a delight from start to finish. I’m impatient for the next series now. When life becomes difficult, there is always Ghosts (only the UK version though).
Lost count of how many times I’ve watched it through. Huge comfort show for sure.
True. I really don't see the point of making a carbon copy of a successful series just show the original. Leaving out the hilarious neanderthal just because the yanks don't have them is pretty lame.
I don't know, I like the American version. It's not as good when held on comparison, but when looked at it on its own merit, it holds up.
I really like the American version....sometimes they get things right, like they also did with The Office, which I actually preferred to the English original.

Basically it's a joke about how the British sent convicts to Australia. So all Australians now apparently are convicts.
The joke stops being funny when you actually learn a bit more about the history. Like that there was an indigenous population here that was treated like less-than-human, that a lot of the convicts sent here were sent for small crimes like stealing food they needed to survive, that some rich folk came here willingly and bought up all the land and loads of other reasons.

Love the 'hot dogs' bit. Just wish it was Cap/Ben saying 'hot sausage' to complete the Hot Sausage Horrible Histories, Yonderland and Ghosts Hot Sausage trifecta.

@@oliviadaly4795 What do you mean the final season? First we lose them from HH, then from the under rated Yonderland that should have kept going, now you are saying Ghosts is going away too? It's hard enough for them to keep assembling, but to have them have to work out a whole new show concept each time too. Urg.
Much as I love the show, it feels like it needs to end. The episode with the stuffed bear was really poor and borderline irritating. It doesn't feel like there is much mileage left.

This is easily one of my favorite shows ever. I was first introduced to the US version, but the UK version and I assume the original? Is hands down the winner, the humour is just Next level 💝

EVERYONE though it was going to be the very last episode ever, from the cast, to the crew, to the production department. EVERYONE.
Her getting upset, all because several months later some other production group did happen to choose the continuation of the show, is just petty and juvenile.
She's basically admitted that the show that actually made her famous in several countries, is only worthy of her time so as long as it's coming to an end.
Otherwise, she has no time for the show or anything to do with it. And that just oozes arrogance.

The writing for him is so consistently imaginative with his ignorance of some things and his unexpected knowledge of others. Such as when the ghosts were saying what clothes they'd like to wear for a change and he wanted a space suit with hermetically sealed gloves.
When he said 'bootiful' when someone mentioned turkeys 😂 (referencing an advert from the 1980s).
