Yeah! I really love Pirate Land in Mario Party 2, but I think it'd be really similar to Yoshi's Tropical Island, so Western Land would give more variety if they added another board

My first Mario Party game I ever played was Mario Party 8 I believe but Mario Party 2 is so ICONIC and when I got it on my Wii U Virtual Console I loved it so much!
Mario Party 2 is such a great game, it has all the fundamental mechanic of a traditional Mario Party (while 1 didn't), oozes charm (not just because of the awesome costumes) and most importantly is a lot of fun! Fun fact, this was the only N64 Mario Party that could be played in Italian. 0:35 The mechanics specific to Superstars would benefit this board, not to mention how gorgeous it would be in 3D, so I'd love to see it come back! Other picks for me would be Bowser Land, Chilly Waters and Waluigi's Island. 1:56 In most Mario Parties the host is also the one who gives stars, although there are exceptions even between boards in the same game. 2:19 Nope, the bonus stars in these first games are always Minigame, Coins and Happening which is why they're called classic ones in Superstars and there's an option just for them. 17:38 I forgot there was also a Cheep Cheep in this version of Crazy Cutters, it's kind of a bummer that it isn't in Superstars. 19:38 The version of Bobsled Run in Superstars is more similar to the one in the first Mario Party which is a shame because this one's better. 36:59 Sometimes Koopa Kid gives you 5 coins instead of stealing them, as far as I know it's completely random. 43:40 There's no lose 1 star option when landing on Bowser Spaces in this and most older Mario Parties, it's funny how Superstars and even Super have that even though they're usually less punishing. 55:15 Yep, Plunder Chests worked this way in 2, in Superstars they work just like in 3. 58:37 This is really misleading, it's actually given to whoever had the most coins at once during the game unlike in Superstars.

Mario Party 2 has its unique charm, well every single Mario Party has its own charm like Mario Party 5 having capsules instead of usual item shops you have vending machines, Mario Party 6 has Day Night cycle, Mario Party 7 has the very unique "Bowser Time" Event where every 5 turns Bowser will do something gameplay altering. True Mario Party 9 also tried to be unique but became too different from other mario Parties no wonder Mario Party 9 and 10 arent best games in comparison to other games.
In Mario Party 2's case the charm it has is that every board there has specific theme be it thru duel/item minigames or simply because All characters dress up According to the board, and dont forget Bowser is always a villain but always has aliases or Alter egos like "Bowser Sphinx" no wonder its best Mario Party out of the original trilogy. Oh i forgot Mario Partys 1 charm is how unforgiving is, lose in minigame last you lose coins, land on bowser space, too bad you lose lots of coins or star. So MP1 in nutshell is very unforgiving game if you have multiple bad decisions

But to me, the costumes that Yoshi wears in MP2 make me uncomfortable. Because of the shell on his back and his underbelly, he sometimes wears reindeer antlers, a collar with a bell, and red boots in MKT. Some other times, he wears a hat with kangaroo ears, boxing gloves, and a bandana around his neck. The only costume he wears all around him, except for the face, is the dragon costume.

For those less familiar with Mario Party 2: Baby Bower will randomly give you 5 coins rather than take them. Passing Baby Bowser in a Bowser Suit item will cause him to give you all the coins he's taken in this game. "Lose One Star" Bowser Roulette doesn't exist in Mario Party 2. Bowser Roulette is timed! Hard CPUs almost always get the yellow text. CPUs will ALWAYS steal a star if possible, even on easy. Battle Mini-Games will randomly be 10, 20, 30, or 50 coins entry fee. Hidden blocks are much rarer than in Superstars. But they always have 20 coins or a Star.

If I could add a board to Mario Party Superstars, I’d add a board from Mario Party 3. If you look at the boards we currently have, we have 2 boards from Mario Party, (Those being Yoshi’s Tropical Island and Peach’s Birthday Cake), 2 boards from Mario Party 2, (Space Land and Horror Land) and only one from Mario Party 3 (Woody Woods).
