Many thanks for the videos, the many collections you have put up have given me many happy memories as to how Glasgow once looked. I am 67 years old so can remember many places in Glasgow before they were lost to change, and not all for the better.
So true but of course pretty sad to say the city places are lost to change and that too not all for the better It’s a general dilemma hitting most of the old cities worldwide And you can’t imagine how ugly and horrendous this is in our part of the so called developing world Such losses are like losing one’s own limbs and heart !!
The Blythswood Cafe opposite Raeberry Street I was born in Kirkland Street. Maryhill was a vibrant active place lots going on I last visited in 2003 it was pretty souless.
Report card: 10/10. Another great video. with fascinating, nostalgic and sometimes intriguing pictures of what we have lost in the mists of time! Keep up the great work!
Shame to see now, a once proud city and people just pushed into the ground, Was there recently, its not the Glasgow and people I remember, beautiful city torn apart in the name of progress. I often wonder if they ever took a drive along the Edinburgh Road to the other city and destroyed it like they did in Glasgow.

Thank you, sadly our cities and towns are declining all the time.

We are allowing our streets, towns and cities to decay.

Thank you once again, a time machine would be handy.
Great pictures Colin as usual. I'm slowly working my way through you're vids . Thank you .
Thank you, glad you like the videos.
At the 4 min point, I think you have a photo of Billy Connolly, just right of centre, top half.
Yes it's Billy Connolly at a shipyard demonstration, before fame and fortune came calling.
@@colinburrowes8063 doesn't look very happy 😉
Thanks for all the photos, bringing back a lot of memories to an old man.
Thank you, Billy doesn't look like a happy worker, no wonder he changed career.
The West End, back in the day! was the best lol
It looks as though our best days are behind us.
Interesting pics, but what a relentlessly depressing dump. I grew up there in the 50’s my memories are awful
I grew up in Toryglen 1958-1967, no luxury, no gadgets, just a happy childhood.
