Aye we are very lucky with the weather Dave. We have managed to do some good long walks. It is great being able to walk again now the weight is coming off.😀
We loved the video and felt as if we were there with you on the walk with the birds chirping. Our Aussie's Jamie and Sadie loved the part where the pups played in the water. You are so right that the lockdown has helped us all to appreciate walks we have closer to home.
Glad you all joined us on our walk. Hope that Jamie and Sadie didn't try to jump in the water through the screen. It is wonderful to rediscover local places. Have a great weekend x
Hi Daryl, hi Keith, thanks for sharing. Once again a lovely laid back piece of video-ing, it makes me want to go out and investigate our local (and underused) outdoor spaces. Maybe in the not too distant future, but for now I am loving your feed from the comfort of the table on the patio with a mug of coffee on hand. Take care guys, David.
Thanks David. The best place for you, we reckon it will be mad out there this weekend. We enjoy the Lagoons but don't go as often as we should, saying that it is so. Lose. Rest assured, we have lots of local walks already filmed, so we should be able to keep you occupied. Take care and look after yourself.
Another lovely video chaps. Thank you. Now we are allowed to drive further, I am hoping we can get to the Goyt Valley again today! Yay! I love the way your dogs keep checking in with you, especially Tor. 💕
Hope you managed to get there. I read on the Goyt Valley Facebook group that the hall has been vandalised during lockdown, with stonework smashed and lots of holes dug by what they presume to be metal detectodists. So sad. Tor is funny, he does it more when he wants to get back to the car. Stay safe👍🐕🐕🐕🐕
Campervan Tales How sad about the vandalism of the ruins! People can be so selfish. we had a lovely few hours there this afternoon. We went to the Derbyshire Bridge end (just off the Macclesfield to Buxton Road) as it is usually quieter there. There were more cars there than normal but still plenty of parking space but there are so many different walks so folk disperse. Because Marilyn isn’t very steady on her feet, we usually walk along the road (no cars) which as you probably know, is still pretty next to the stream. Not many walkers but lots of cyclists. Also lots more litter,😖On the way back, topped the van up with diesel - £1.04 per litre - unbelievable! Long may it last! You two stay safe too.
@@irenedale5256 it is very sad. We have Derbyshire Bridge on the list of places to make a video about at some point. We are noticing more rubbish about too. Stay well both of you x
Absolutely beautiful. Looks like a great place for a dog walk too. We have two spaniels, they would love it there. We aren't too far away either so we will take them. They love being in the water too. Thanks for this video.
Thankyou. Yes I'm sure your dogs would love it there. It is a great place to let them have a run. Maybe we could arrange to meet there at some point. A play date for our dogs and yours.
Another lovely walk gents, thank you! The slow motion dogs in water was superb 😊. I've not had a Waggle Dance beer for ages, very nice. Sorry I'm a bit behind with your videos, bit busy 😉. I can't skip though, have to watch them in order 🤣 is that just me 🤔
They are enjoying all the extra walks. Yesterdays 8 mile tired them out. It's the furthest I have walked in years cos of the weight. A year ago I couldn't do a quarter of a mile. I wanted to test myself for some future plans. Stay well👍
Lovely walk there guys, but i think i will give the cache a miss ☺ I've heard it's nice there but have never been. But then again.... you guys are so much nearer than me... I must be about 10 minutes away where you guys can do it in 8! Lol. Those beers looked good 😀 Cheers 👍😁
It might just be in range for you Gaz, you should be able to make it there and back without having to break the rules and stay out overnight.......just😂
More memories of my hometown, used to fish those ponds when I was 15 (now 72) my wife's first ever go at fishing, she was 14 at the time and I spent more time removing her fish and putting on more maggots ! we used to cycle down past the old maggot farm and the go under some railway bridges to get there. Some good pike in there too. They were gravel pits by the way not colliery related.
Thanks for that. We thought they were something to do with a colliery. The maggot far still smells on a hot day. A massive housing estate is being built now and I'd going to change the area forever😟
@@CampervanTales Wow I'm amazed the maggot farm is still there, I worked for BT in a previous life and had to run a new phone line in there, all I can say is it was disgusting the smell inside, blow flies circling everywhere and these concrete bunkers just moving inside will billions of maggots. Also remember a scrap place that used to dismantle old one arm bandits from Bell Fruit I think they were. Another memory is a pet food factory I think.

Morning Kim. It is well worth a drive out to for a couple of hours walk. A lot of locals don't even know about it.❤

Good to see you ignore all the signs asking that dogs please be kept on a lead and allowing your dogs to race around a designated nature reserve.

The dogs must be kept on the lead in the Netherfield Lagoons. There are signs for a reason.
Thankyou for watching. The dogs do love our Sunday walks at the Lagoons and also being able to swim there. Isn't it a lovely place?🐶🐶🐶
Oh you do pick mean cache sites lol
