  • From the mid 80's till now. Meat Loaf has given us some remarkable performances. His legacy, for most parts already on RUclips, needs to be shared with his fans!
This time Meat Loaf promotes his 'Best of' album with a great show at the Hard Rock Cafe

He virtually invented American Rock and Roll opera. His performances, his stage acting abilities, his passions and emotions and of course his voice. And there was nobody that could have presented these lyrics like he did. True Rock and Roll dramas. I miss him already.

The very best in vocals and a genius at interpreting Jim Steinman's music. He once described himself as "just another guy doing his job." NO WAY. He put everything into his work . The world is now a much sadder place. RIP Meat Loaf.

The man delivered Steinman's brilliant lyrics like no one else could. Pure poetry. Pure art. And he could do it while chewing gum at the same time!

You’re right about put poetry and a powerful sensibility to Steinman’s lyrics, much more than anyone else. Chewing gum I always thoutght it was a way to relax the nerves. He had problems to accept he was a rock star and he became a real legend. Rest In Peace both of them at Olympus of Gods. Beautiful to see his beautiful girl Pearl singing with him. Probably a good Dad too.

R.I.P. Meatloaf. I only had the pleasure of seeing once you in concert but the event still remains fresh in my mind. You opened for ELO in Toronto and blew them away. Listened to Bat Out Of Hell so many times in my late teens that I had to purchase the album three times as I kept wearing it out. Amazing talent. You’ll be sadly missed but always remembered!

I have video of him watching a MeatLoaf video and singing along. We named our first husky MeatLoaf after him in 2006. So much talent he had . Jim and Meats music will live on forever.

By far the best video of Paradise I’ve seen, classics! Meatloaf made so many memories for our generation, watching this brought back so many of them! I never appreciated Patti Russo like I do now, her vocals are so powerful and she sings like an angle. She should of sang and co-starred on the “I’d don anything for love, but I won’t do that “ video! She is gorgeous! And the blond background singer is Meatloaf’s daughter Pearl, she is an amazing vocalist as well. I seen a video where Pearl sang “Piece of my heart” by Janis Joplin, Pearl shredded it! Janis would of had a run for her money, Pearl is Awesome!

#MeatLoaf's vocal register is unique with three octaves in the vibrato that made him one in a million #MeatLoaf was, is and will be a special and wonderful human being, a legend... Listen to live concerts of his songs from the opera genre rock and the performances on their cd's for hours and that time doesn't pass, only #MeatLoaf can do it... The song "I'd do anything for love (but I won't do that)" is a masterpiece of the rock opera genre.. watch the video created by #MichaelBay with the lyrics of #JimSteinman the interpretation of #MeatLoaf accompanied by #LorraineCrosby and the model #DanaPatrick is a work of art and listen to the extended version of 12 minutes 01 second of the cd " Bat Out Of Hell II : Back Into Hell" and listening to it for hours and that time doesn't pass, is an invaluable legacy with his entire musical and artistic career... Also the song "It's All Coming Back To Me Now" with #MarionRaven is spectacular. .. You will always live in our hearts my dear #MeatLoaf

I remember when he first started back in the mid 1970's. I was in my late 20's or early 30's. He was already in his mid 30's. Let em laugh now because he is a classic. If you ever heard about his beginnings he could not get anyone to even listen to him let alone let him get on stage. (Patty Russo has stood by him "as his best friend and always believed in his stardom.") So Meatloaf and I are in our 70's today. We may be in our 70's, but as long as you keep on rockin you defy death. If old crooner like Tony Bennett can still do it then guess we will do it till we are ready to be planted. lol.

Amazes me that the Rock Icons have outlived today's music already! People like Meatloaf created music that will endure forever, (not a one-hit-wonders) and auto-tunes we have today! These guys know that music is created by people, with talent and a soul. Your music will endure forever Meat! Thanks for sharing your voice, and your talent with the world! A little trivia that not everyone will know, Meatloaf was into the paranormal for years (he had his own experience) he appeared as a guest investigator on Ghost Hunters (the old and the new one) he actually did an episode with Ghost Hunters right before he passed away. Everyone should check it out! RIP Marvin...

With having vocal cord surgeries and back surgeries, it runs havoc with your vocal cords. I was intubated and in addition had a trach for 22 days-I woke up with a totally new voice. My best friend is an attorney. She had surgery and I don’t know what happened to her vocal chords but she couldn’t work in court for months and her voice was never the same. ML’s worst is the best of some entertainers at their best. He was unique, talented, fun and oh yes, sexy.
