  • The wedding of my good friend and colleague Jason Noble to Gino Carolini was a celebration of exuberant joy and uncommon good cheer. There was a palpable sense of happiness and love in the air touching everyone in attendance. And the setting was spectacular.
I was honored to be asked to play during the service. Jason was excited about a saxophone quartet and I assembled a wonderful group to play my arrangements of Copland’s “Our Town” and “Simple Gifts”. I’m playing soprano, Guy Dellacave is on alto, Tyler Sakow, tenor and Zachery Kern, baritone. As part of the service there were readings by family and friends, and we played after each reading.
The short video clip shows the beauty of St Paul’s Chapel at Columbia University, the never-fail acoustics of the setting, and excerpts from the service. In the latter part of the video you can see the happy newlyweds on the steps, in suits of gray and blue. Gino is on the left, Jason on the right. And they seem to be smiling during the music!
A most special day for all!
With special thanks to videographer Jeannie!
