@KnittingTurnPike Gina, You have been on my mind and ❤️ heart lately. Almost every time I go on Instagram I sent you something even if a giveaway and the prayers 🙏🏻. I hope you're doing well. My mom's birthday is coming up on the 14th she was a Valentines day baby and I am missing her 😢 so much. She would have turned 70. It's hard to believe she has been gone 16years. 💔 If you don't mind saying a prayer for me and I will continue to pray for you and your family. God will give us both strength and blessings 🙌 🙏🏻 ✨️ ❤️!
Beautiful Beautiful! My daughter made a handstitched quilt for her new baby, her first! I think I'll leave the mals to you and live vicariously; you have so much fun with them. No stress!
Hi Diana, how great! I love hearing about your new grandbaby! I know she is so well dressed and has all the toys! I know I'm the queen of mystery...why do I do this?? I think it's FOMO, but might just be plain crazy! Haha. Hope you are doing well.
Hello Gina hope you are feeling better. Thanks for sharing your beautiful makes I'm have fun knitting my wrap can't wait to see everyone!! Love when people put handstitched names on their bags love the gnome bags so cute have a wonderful day
Hi Regina, thank you and thank you so much for being here and participating in the mal. I love your wrap and hope you are having fun, meeting new people. Hope you are having a Happy Friday!!! It's the weekend!!
Ice dancing is my favorite yarn pick for Vlog #3, and a handstitched item with the pastel pink mini along with the blues would make a beautiful pair of shortie socks. Go for it sweet Gina, do that Mystery Make Along the " Muppet Shawl"! You know you can't resist that cutie!! Life is way to short to pass up on the simple joys of living. I will be happy to donate for the 12 hour knitathon. You are a beautiful person to care so much about others! When is your up coming ophthalmologist appointment? You are in my prayers🙏. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and Happy Valentine Day to you!!❤
Hi my sweet friend, my hubby said the same thing, knit what makes me happy. I would love to make it as her knits are so much fun, but I have such a list of things already and should stay on track. UGH. I appreciate you and thank you for all you do for me. I appreciate your prayers, appointment is Monday which is amazing that I was able to get an appointment so quickly with a specialist. It is at least 2 hours they said, so ugh. I will email you this weekend. Lots of love!!
Your Bewitched Shawl is beautiful and it suits you Gina. The Gogo Shawl is so special and I like it very much. ThecJapanese Sampler knits are stunning the stitch definition and the colour yarn make this knit exceptional. I love your yarn acquisitions and the stitch markers from Handstitched. Take care ❤😊
Hi Rosemary, thank you so much. I really appreciate your kind words and taking the time to come watch these and catch up. Praying you have been doing well.
Hi Gina! Prayers that the doctor will have good news for you and a quick solution about your eyes. So much love goes into things that are handstitched and I'm amazed by all your wips (as they are made with such fine, delicate yarn). Absolutely beautiful!
Aw, Cathy, thank you! You are an angel. I'm so happy to have met you and love seeing all your amazing works as well. Hope you are having a great weekend.
Look at all those blankets you are making handstitched. They are all so beautiful as usual. I enjoyed watching The Princess Bride with my son. He loved it so much that he did that as a 10 minute speech in high school. I loved that too! 😊
Hi Jen, so nice to see you. I saw you and Ivy on a live the other day, lurking. It was fun. I hadn't actually watched that movie until I did the MKAL but I loved it. It was so much fun and I now understand! Hope you are doing well !!
Gorgeous projects, the blankets are gorgeous. The yarns are beautiful and the subscription to handstitched look like it’s going to be nice, love nature.
Hi Teresa thank you!! I appreciate you and hope you are feeling better. Have been worried about you for a while as you were sick for so long. Would love to see you win!
@@KnittingTurnPike I ordered the Muppet’s Mcal pattern and purchased my yarn for it at Miss Babs. I will send you pictures when I receive it and when I pick my yarns out for the shawl
@@Teresakloeppel I'm so happy you are making this. I want to so badly. Been looking at yarn all super bowl but I finally told myself, no, oing to knit Romi Hill instead. I am sad though but very happy for you!! It will be fun and her designs are amazing.
Hi Maureen, thank you. So nice to have you here. Are you going through the stitch books? I just LOVE those books. They are a bit complicated but wow so worth it. I hope you are well today and will have an amazing weekend.
I have three Japanese stitch books but didn’t know how to use them, so this make along is perfect for me to learn some basic Japanese stitches. I have never read charts either. I had 4 skeins of Polka Dot Creek DK yarn I’m using to start my blanket. If I get along ok, I’ll order enough to finish. I was told DK is equal to a light worsted yarn. Your instructional video was so helpful. Thanks
@@maureenwelch844 Hi Maureen, me too and yes I think they are a bit complicated. I hope to do some videos this year on how to read charts but I would love to do more out of these as well. Maybe we can inspire and help each other out? I think teh weight of your yarn is perfect for the blanket! You should friend me in Ravelry so I can keep track of your progress. I am knitbymoonbeams there. Hope you have a nice weekend.
Hi Gina how are you doing today iam doing fine today your projects are very beautiful colors and very beautiful work thank you for sharing stay safe ❤❤❤
Thank you for spending your time making your awesome videos. I love seeing and hearing about the yarns, KALs and seeing your FOs. Your lace shawl is a handstiched masterpiece. I hope you get some help with your eyes 😢 I know how it feels and not being able to do the things that bring us joy is so frustrating.
Hi Amanda, thank you so much. You are so sweet, you made me cry. I am going to be OK. I had to see two doctors this week but they have a path forward for which I am so thankful. I am sorry you are having vision issues as well. I hope and pray you can find solutions for your eyesight. I have come to realize that I really take it for granted and I am so ashamed that I did that. I hope I can learn and try to help others from this issue and not do that again. I pray that the doctors can help you with your issues too as yes, it is very frustrating to not be able to do all the things you love to do because you can't see. Sending lots of love dear
Morning Gina! Yes, I watched, thought I commented. How was my day? Watching on my phone, battery died, switched to iPad, finished, commenting, son shows up for shop business, think I pressed send, apparently not😂. Fitbit also dies, apparently I’m draining batteries lol. So, what I said was love the As You Wish best, it’s always been a favourite. Everything else is beautiful as well, always is. When my kids were young the dolls I made were handstitched but now I knit them as you know. Go slow and rest your eyes for better results. Wishing you the best❤. Still working part 2 of the mal. Rotating it with market makes. See you soon, all the best at your appointment ❤
Hi dear!! Oh no! I'm so sorry!! What a trying day! Must be cold where you are! And I know it's cold where you are.haha. You are always so busy so I really appreciate your watching, commenting and recommenting because the first one went into space, and participating in the mal. I know you will finish so quickly, not even worried. Your needles are the fastest I've seen!! Hope you are having a good weekend and that your show makes are coming along good!! And thanks for hte kind wishes for my appointment, Really glad I was able to get int quickly. That is a blessing! Sending hugs and love!
Hi Gina, the shawl you're wearing is beautiful, lovely color. The Japanese Sample Blanket is coming along fabulously! The colorway for the GoGo Throw is fantastic. The blanket reminds me of the crochet zigzig afghans I saw in everyone's home as a child. Beautiful stich markers from Handstitched Life. OMG Gina, you have so much going on!!! Love it. Great podcast, can't wait for the next one.😁
Lea, thank you! You are so sweet. I agree, that does look like a zigzag afghan that my MIL made for my hubby. I love those so much. Thank you again and so happy you are participating in the MAL. Your shawl is looking so good. And I really appreciate your helping me with Knit for Food. That means so much!! Hope you have a great rest of your weekend!
Hi Gina, you have the most wonderful projects, I love seeing your shawls and blankets and hope that when I have more relaxing time I will be able to craft more. I absolutely adore your project bag. I would love to learn to sew but I’m not very good with the sewing machine or doing handstitch items 😂. I hope you are having a beautiful weekend my lovely xx
Hi my sweet Sharon, I totally understand. If I were working like you, I wouldn't get as much done either. One day you will be my age and will be able to sit and craft as much as you want and you will do much more than me having learned it now at your young age! Thank you and hope you also are having a great weekend!!
Gina, this was a wonderful inspiring video. Love your blankets, and shawls. I'm working on my knitted wrap while watching this video, it's going slow but my hands are better after the warm wax treatment. Your in my prayers. Rest your eyes, try not to strain them. Hugs
Hi sweet friend, I am so encouraged to hear that the wax helped your hands!! Praise God. I am wondering if those heated gloves would help them. My Aunt had some when she was alive to help her hands. I remember seeing something on Amazon and I could look for them if you are interested. Thanks for the kind words on my eyes. Saw the doctor today and have to go to another specialist on Wednesday as I have some odd things there. But it will be OK. Sending you lots of love and hugs my beautiful friend.
I’m a new knitter and new subscriber to your channel. I am participating in the make along that you and Judy are hosting. I’m so inspired by all your beautiful handstitched, hand knitted items.
Hi Renee thank you so much for subscribing and joining our make along! Are you the Facebook group? I haven't been there a lot lately so please forgive me if you have joined us. I would love to make sure I follow you. Where are you posting pictures and if you aren't that is fine, just make sure to send us pictures by March 6 so you can be entered in the slideshow/giveaway. I'm so happy to have you here.
With all the interruptions that make up my life, it has taken all day to get through your video. Sheesh. LOL The house is quiet now and I am the only one awake, sipping tea and enjoying this time. Your work, as always, is stunning! You are so industrious, lots and lots of big projects. I am still toying with the Japanese sampler blanket. Maybe?! The Handstitched Life progress keepers are so fun. I like the owl best. And who doesn't love EFA yarn?! I recently splurged on their January color called Snowgleam. Now to find the perfect pattern for it! Praying for your eyes, sweet Gina. I will write soon...love and blessings for health, my friend.
Hi beautiful Tracy, so happy to see you always!! I completely understand. I know your life is very unpredictable right now. I am so sorry. I appreciate your kind words. Will go tomorrow for evaluation. I kind of expect a certain answer based on what my primary doctor told me, so I'm prepared. Do I want to do that, no, but I also want to craft for the rest of my life and right now it's challenging! Hope you have a nice day and can get some time for yourself. Sending lots of love and Happy Valentines' Day early.
Hi my friend…so sorry you have pain in your eyes! Continued prayers your doctor finds what is causing it and gets it fixed very soon! 🙏🏻 Did I mention I love your shawls? They are all so pretty! I really like the slipped stitch color work on your Effloresce Shawl! I finished mine and really enjoyed knitting it! I’m currently working on the Japanese Sampler Blanket 2024…I’m making the cabled version…so pretty! I started February square today. Your stitch tutorials are so helpful…thank you! So excited to be knitting a blanket! You are so nice to participate in the “Knit for Food Knitathon” and it’ll be fun to join you and sit and knit every chance I get during that day! Awesome blankets this year! The Gogo Throw and The Incredible Blanket are beautiful…so colorful! Beautiful yarn (as always!)…can’t wait to see what you make with that boucle yarn! I feel handstitched items are the best because you make them with love and dedication! So many fun knit alongs!! Now I know I’m participating in both The Muppet MKAL and Linda’s…thanks for promoting them! I need to watch her video and I think I know which shawl I’ll make. Happy Galentine’s Day my friend and good luck at doctor appointment 🙏🏻🩷
Thank you so much for your wonderful message. Love you dearly and so happy you are my knitting partner in all the makes!! Couldn't ask for better knitting compadre! I will write you soon and thank you so much for all the prayers and well wishes!! You are an angel and blessing to me.
Hi Gina, your shawl is very Valentines vibe. I enjoy seeing all your projects. I am working on my donation items. Recent makes include ear warmers, beanies and starting some lap afghans. Should keep me out of trouble with all the Wips.😂 Hope the dr. Can resolve the eye issues. Your handstitched items always amaze.
Hi Kay, thank you. YOU have been busy!! I'm so impressed by all you do for everyone else. Thank you for all you do. I just make things that I want to make, very selfish. Hope you are having a great day dear. Sending hugs.
Hi Gina, the Bewitched shawl is beautiful! I like the extra color you introduced for your shawl. I think the deeper color gives a nice moody and elegant touch! I remember wearing boucle sweaters back in the early 2000s. They were so soft! Beautiful yarns and adorable stitch markers. Those spring shawl choices you have are both so beautiful. I think the new type of cast on is a good reason to choose Mountain Frost. It will be cool to add to your knitting knowledge while making a beautiful item. I hope your eyes improve so you can continue making beautiful items without straining.
Hi Jenni, thank you so much for all your kind words!! I'm so glad you said this. I guess I'm behind the times but I was thinking fuzzy sweater for boucle yarn. I know it would ve warm and so squishy soft. Will know more later today on my eyes! How are you?? I hope well.
Hoping the doctor finds a quick solution for your eyesight. Your work is so pretty and all those handstitched details take time and lots of patience. Love seeing all your makes 🥰
Hi Diana, thank you so much. I really appreciate your kind words so much. I hope you are doing well and enjoying some making time yourself. That is what I hope to do tonight during Superbowl. Haha.
Hi Teresa, I know, aren't they gorgeous? Are you going to make that one?? Please let me know if you do. It will be so much fun as all her patterns are a blast. It is so hard to resist!! Hope you are doing better!!
Hi Gina, I am loving your different blankets. I think that is so cool and they are knitted. My Shero, as always. EFA yarns are really gorgeous. Handstitch is very time consuming but beautiful. I love the second shawl gorgeous.
Hi Shari, you are so sweet, thank you. I agree completely. Knitting by hand is so much better in my opinion. I see all these machines and it's nice that things can be made quickly but letting the yarn run through your fingers and watching it all come together stitch by stitch there is a lot to that! Hope you are having a great Sunday!!
Your wrap is looking great! Your handstitched pieces are so beautiful. I ended up frogging my wrap and redoing it after my procedures. My mistakes were really bothering me so I had to fix it. Now I am enjoying it much more. I hope you are getting some wonderful sunshine. Take care my friend.
Hi Alisa, how are you feeling?? I hope and pray you are doing OK. I'm glad you redid it if you are enjoying it much better. Sometimes that is necessary and there is so much time left to make it so no worries about that. Rest and recovery and let me know how it went when you are up to it. Prayers for healing!!
Love all your WIPs. There's nothing like a handstitched project to keep you out of trouble. I commend you for sticking to your list, although that Muppet shawl is really tempting. Hope you get some answers soon regarding your eyesight. Mary-Ellen
Hi Mary-Ellen!! Thank you. It has been a struggle on the Muppet Shawl. Hubby tells me to make it and I want to make it but I also have so much going on already. Should behave. Thanks for encouraging me to be good! I hope you are doing well and having a lovely weekend!!
Hi Gina, I finished the first part of my Effloresce Wrap while watching this video. I enjoyed seeing all of your wip's and the gorgeous yarn choices you have made. Handstitched projects like yours are works of art! Sending you my very best wishes that the problems you are having with your vision can be quickly rectified. ❤
Hi Judy, I love your wrap!! It is spectacular! Lovely yarn choices, beautiful stitching. Thank you so much for being here and thank you for your kind wishes. Me too. I Hope I can get an eye drop and be done! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!! Sending hugs!
Gina that am 41:01 bu Obrien blanket is gorgeous, the gogo throw. That mountain frost is a shawl that I love so dearly. You need to make that one... Gina that AS YOU WISH WRAP IS ENOUGH TO M A KE ME CRY IT IS SO PRETTY. OH JUST BEAUTIFUL!!
Hi Charlene thank you so much. Ambah's remind me of the crochet blankets, ripple blankets I believe. I got your message but have been busy with eye doctors, specialists and this is the first time I have been able to see most of the day as my eyes have been dilated. I bought you the pattern and you should have it in Ravelry in a mesage. I think I sent you an email about that too. It is a very simple repeat of two rows, so it really could be made without printing it. I'm sorry I haven't had time to move my computer to print, but also i bought the pattern for you to be fair to the designer too. I hope you understand and sorry, this is my first time to reply. I will be at the doctor's all day Wednesday. Hope you can find it and get started. It should be a piece of cake for you! The Reverdie crochet pattern.
@KnittingTurnPike Gina how much was the patterni want to send you a check. Please let me have your address again. Honey I know about eyes. Shingle went from my forehead to my right eye and blinded my eye it engraved on my cornea eye Dr said nothing can be done. So frustrating trying to see
I really love the colors you used for the effloresce shawl, it's beautiful. The gogo blanket is gorgeous and the Japanese stitch blanket is absolutly stunning. I hope your eyesight will be fixed this week, I pray it's something minor that can be solved quickly. 🩷
Hi beautiful Sarit, thank you so much for your kind words on everything. I think I have cataracts, but Monday will be a full evaluation. If so, it might be surgery, but we will see. Thank you so much for your kind wishes and always being so positive and encouraging. Sending you lots of love. Did I email you back? I can't remember. Now I have to go check. I thought I did but now I can't remember. If I haven't yet, I promise to get to it. I loved your email!!
Hi Gina, i just saw this vlog. I really wish i could do something to ease the eye fatigue and pain you are going through. I can feel your pain and frustration, especially when it impacts your knitting, something that you are so passionate about. Please please take the doctor's advise so that there is no further damage or deterioration. You knit so much every day, it totally amazes me. Your deep red Boo knits shawl is soo very delicate, it looks perfect on you. I am loving how your blankets are working out. Nothing can beat the elegance of handstitched / hand knit shawls. Such lovely acquisitions! I am starting my shawl for the MAL tomorrow.... Take care, sweet Gina!
Thank you Anvita, I really appreciate your kind words and well wishes, it means the world to me. I did see the doctor yesterday and have some odd things and have to go to a retina specialist tomorrow. So I hope it can all be fixed to because right now I can't see any dark colors much less patterns on my knitting. But it will all be OK. I am OK with whatever happens to me. I hope you are doing well and excited to see your MAL shawl. I know it will be amazing!!
Hi Gina so sorry you are having trouble with your eyes you and Judy are so inspirational looking at your Japanese blanket and thinking I really should try that I really enjoy doing handstiched items such as crazy quilts oh and thanks again for the Reverdie wrap pattern take care
Hi Jeanne, thank you so much for your kind words. I would love to have you make the blanket with me. It's a square a month, and I find it takes a couple of days to knit, trying to enjoy it. It is a charted pattern BUT there is time to write it out or take your time. I find her patterns are well written and have knit them a few years now, but this is the first blanket. Please let me know if you decide to join in! And so happy you are doing the mal with Judy and me. Hope you have a great rest of your weekend!
Sometimes when I feel I haven’t had any FOs in a bit, I try to do a quick project and it feels motivating! I have a long term blanket going and a sweater that I need to finish the sleeves! You have so many pretty handstitched items!
Hi Diana, that is a really great tip, thank you. I really miss the lace so I hope that shawl will help. I can't cast on until Tuesday but it will be fun! I hope you are doing well sweet friend!!
Hi Gina. Thank you for showing us all your beautiful makes, yarn and stitch markers. I especially liked the Handstitched life stitch markers. I always seem to learn of new things by watching your videos. I’m debating on doing the Muppet Shawl MKAL as I’ve very much been trying to get my Wip’s under control. Plus I’m not very good at keeping up with MKALs. We’ll see. I hope you feel better soon. Thanks again for the Vlog. ❤
Hi Melissa, thank you so much for your kind words and for being here. Me too. I keep going back and forth on that mkal. It is so much fun BUT I have so much to do already. I already have two or more rectangular wraps but it is the MUPPETS! Sorry to spill my brain on you. I look forward to seeing what you decide and am enjoying seeing your wrap progress on the mal. Hope you are having a nice weekend. It's superbowl Sunday and we don't even watch football, good knitting time!
Hi Gina! So many projects you're working on! I love the red shawl you're wearing in honour of Valentine's Day. Happy Valentine's to you and Brian! Please take care of your eyes! I find my eyesight is not as great in the evenings in low light or when I'm tired. Handstitched items are so beautiful but I don't have the patience to knit or crochet a blanket. Yours is looking great so far. Have a great week ahead ❤
Hi Dimitra, thank you so much and appreciate you and your kind words. I definitely have bitten off a lot with these projects, maybe take longer than a year on that one blanket. I bet you do have the patience, you make the most beautiful items and you test knit!! Hope you have a nice rest of your weekend as well.
Your blankets are going to be beautiful. Those expressions fibre arts yarns look so luxurious 😉 I love self striping yarn for making socks 🧦. I made my daughter a dress with the same Christmas gnome fabric as your project bag, at least I think it’s the same, very like it anyway lol. Love the handstitched life progress keeper and markers. Do the mountain frost shawl, it’s so pretty ❤ you have so many projects going on Gina lol. I stick to one crochet and one knitting project at a time or nothing would ever get finished lol.
Hi Terrie, thank you so much!! I love all your kind words. How fun that we both have the same fabric for things! That is so cool! IT is a cute pattern! I love that mountain frost shawl and can hardly wait to cast on. I was hoping to do on Tuesday but today was a bust, was at the doctor all day and I have to go to another one on Wednesday, but I will get there eventually. I am so impressed by your will power. My castonitis is too strong to resist!! You are inspirational!! Sending lot of love and hugs!
I am so glad we have met through YT ❤ Please keep me in the loop after your appointment. You might want to ask them about migraines too. Good luck my friend, I'll be thinking of you xo
Hi Karli, I am a Ravelry stalker! You can look at the current top patterns and most times, these hit the top ten at least one day so I see it. Now you know all my secrets! Hope you are doing well! Would you knit the Muppet Shawl??
Good morning, Gina from Illinois. I love looking at the shawls you knit-fabulous! I love handstitched things. I’m going to look for an easy lace shawl pattern for beginners. I want to try but I’ve never knit from charts before and I’m a little afraid of that. But, I’m going to try. I knit a lot of socks, hats and scarves so it’s time. Thank you for such lovely podcasts.
Hi Wynona, so glad to meet you. I would recommend a couple of things. You could do a search in Ravelry for easy lace knit shawl and see if there are any you like. I also like Dee O'Keefe Ashton shawlette. Linda Simpson and I did a make slong a couple of years ago for that shawl. It is charted, but it is very easy to break down and understand. Ashton shawlette, Dee O'Keefe. But if that isn't something you like, again, do a search for easy knit lace shawls. You will see so many patterns return in Ravelry that there should be something you might want to make. Hope that helps and let me know what you decide to make. I would love to know.
So many items you have handstitched so far this year. I am still working on the cowl and baby blanket. I knit slowly but that is relaxing for me. Praying you get some good news on eye treatment
Hi Jean!! That is what knitting is supposed to be, enjoyable, relaxing, I'm going to be working on these items for a while myself, blankets just take longer! Thank you so much for your prayers. I am hoping so as well. My primary said it's an easy surgery but I am hoping for eye drops! Hope you have a nice rest of your weekend!!
I am loving all the makes especially the one by Purl Soho. There is just something about a scrappy looking blanket that I just love. I just don't have the scraps to begin one. It takes a very long time to save the scraps. Thanks for showing all the makes Gina. Handstitch is not one of my favorite things to do when mending garments.
Hi Sandra, thank you. You are right. I have been saving my scraps since I started and I also think I cheated by having mini skein sets, I mean that is actually a lot of them and would be all of them if they had used a better mix of warm and cool colors. The set that Purl Soho sells is about $150 on sale which is expensive, but it is nice to have all the yarns/colors in one set and not having to look and dig for something to work. It is going to be one of those projects I probably will finish many years from now and right now, I'm actually OK with it. Ask me in 5 years though, maybe not. Hope you are doing well and having a nice weekend!!
Hi Laura, thank you so much for your kind words. I totally understand. YOU are doing ALOT with your hookervshooker and the scarfaday and hatoday and other things. I'm impressed by how much you get done and wish I could do as much!!
Hi Gina , I hope your eyes get better ,I know how frustrating it is because i have a lot of problems with my eyes ,is getting very hard to see. Love your shawls, and you are so talented. I do like handstitched, prouects too
Hi sweet friend, thank you so much for your kind words. I am so sorry to hear about your vision issues. It has been eye opening, no pun intended, about how much I really depend on my eyesight. I hope you are ok and I hope your eyesight can get better too dear. Sending hugs.
Hi Gina I loved the intro!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤ Your projects, many many, are all beautiful! I love the new yarn 🧶 purchases. The colors are beautiful. The handstitched life stitch markers are really nice! You get the best stitch markers!!! Loved seeing the two mystery shawls you completed over the last two years. You again are one of my favorite knitters. Your work is impeccable 🧶🧶🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡 I’ll definitely sign up for the fund raiser!! So needed!!!!!! Loved the video 👍🏻🥰🥰🥰
Hi Debbie, thank you again so very much. I appreciate you and your kindness always. I am so blessed to know you and have you as my friend. Thank you so much for helping me with this cause. I feel so guilty for having food and hope that many more will be able to have food as well. Sending you lots of love hugs and prayers always!
I love handstitched items especially quilts. I will pray that the doctor can find out what is causing your eye problems. All of your projects are beautiful.
Hi Teresa, me too!! Always. Thank you. I think it's just cataracts, but still need to get it checked out and taken care of as my eyes are getting worse day by day right now and it's just frustrating! Hope you are doing well dear!
So many beautiful makes and WIPs but girl, there's only so many hours in the day! I totally understand your desire to join in even if the mystery part is not usually my thing. Oh and that EFA yarn, I'm fighting the urge...
Thank you Joyce. I am struggling. I was just looking at the pictures of the Who You Gonna Shawl and remembering how it was two pieces until it became one and how much fun it was. I almost decided to to it. The struggle is real!!! And yarn is a true struggle. I bought all those EFA yarns without a single project in mind. I shouldn't do that!! I think at least one will have to be in a giveaway as I feel so guilty that I don't have a purpose for these! I hope you are doing much better than me in this as I think I am failing. Happy Valentine's Day to my beautiful friend. I hope you know how much you mean to me and I hope so many good things are happening for you.
@@KnittingTurnPike I am following the two day rule. I put yarn in the cart and if it's still speaking to me and available I try to think of what I'd do with it. My record in 2024? 50/50. One purchase with a purpose one without and two I didn't purchase. It's a good thing hubby doesn't mind...yet 🤣
YayI think I am caught up on all the recent videos! So first absolutely love the shawl your wearing, it's a beautiful color and gorgeous lace work. I really love what you are doing for the mMAL with Judy, your colors are so Me lol. The handstitched life owl is SOOOO cute! I love owls , and all of the MALs I know what you mean about wanting to do more. This is my first year doing any, but I am challenging myself to do them. I do hope you get in to get your eyes checked soon, I worry about you.
Hi Naomi, thank you so much for your kind words. I do have news on my eyes but I think I will wait until I see the doctor tomorrow. I have been referred to a retina specialist as I have some odd things going on, the other doctor thinks. He saw lesions and wants to make sure I can do the cataract surgery first. So...again tomorrow, eyes completely dilated, no knitting again! UGH. But it will be OK. MKALs are addictive and fun. Always make sure you like the designs of the designers you choose. If you do, then you will probably like the mystery item. I have made that mistake and then you end up with something you don't really like ( a new gift to give). But as long as you participate with designers you like you should be golden. Hope you are well and having a great day and I really appreciate your watching ALL my videos and playing catch up. Thank you!!
I love your modifications of the shawl. The incredible blanket is beautiful, the ends would drive me up the wall, I don’t have the patience. While I’m knitting my oldest has handstitched some doll clothes for her doll remake.
Hi Noreen, thank you. I will show how to do that modification this weekend (share the rows/stitch pattern). I just ran out of room in the description box last week. That way if you want to do that with any of your items, you can. Those ends are pesky. I don't really care for weavin Stephen because they don't seem as secure as going in with a needle, so I have a lot of work to do on that part!! But it is part of the process and I'm trying to embrace it. That is so cool about what your oldest did! I love how you both share love of making and creativity. Sending lots of love dear.
I'm about 2/3 done with my effloresce!! I'm totally making it mine.. remember, its almost twice as wide.... I never make anything small.. I need to add an updated pic to the group. 🙄 I don't do weavin' Stephen either, too loose, the way is more like the way you catch floats in colorwork. (kinda up&down), holds better. I'm SO curious what "the Muppet shawl" is going to look like.... I'm at a point that I want to know before I start. I didn't realize it was the same designer as the other two!! Still on my list!! Your Japanese blanket is going to be stunning!!! Love that red. LOVE EFA yarns!! Oddly, my favorite is sincere sock, in fact, thats what effloresce is being made of. I got a pinegnome bag myself!! Love that they're handstitched. 😉 I broke my promise to myself to not get yarn, I was watching Arcane Fibres videos & saw this marvelous green, I go to the website...SO many beautiful colors!! What do I get??? 3 browns, a perfect fade!! But..... 🤦🏻♀️ 🙄 Yeah, you know me!! Maybe next time. 🤷🏻♀️ Wishing everything goes well for your dr appointment!!? 🤞🏻
Where do I start?? Haha. So much goodness in this message. I wouldn't expect less from your yarn shopping! You will enjoy those so that is a win! Yes, this is Mary Annarella. I think it will be very similar to those two, rectangular is mentioned as the shape. I'm sure she will mix up the textures like the last two years. I'm so on the fence as those two were really fun to make. UGH! Yes, Jane's bags, awesome! She is so talented. I am not sure what I will make from EFA. I bought with nothing in mind and shouldn't do that. But that fuzzy yarn so interesting and unique. I don't know if it would look great or look like it was pilled! I keep seeing Arcane Fibers all over the YT streets. I have been there and decided I needed to behave but I'm sure I will buy soon as it's in my ear!! And I'm only 2/3 way done with my Effloresce wrap and mine is small so you are doing great!! Hope you have a great rest of your day. Superbowl??
Good morning Gina! You always do such beautiful work. I especially love to see your shawls! I hope you have a wonderful weekend and God bless you always
Hi Gina, all your current projects are beautiful 😊 . Not sure but you might want to check your dates (especially the end date, might end too soon for me, or maybe the final date to register?). Will try to make a mal that may work for several of these challenges. It usually takes me awhile to hand stitch any knitted item...😮
Hi Karen, so lovely to see you. The dates in the box are for the giveaway. The MAL dates run to 3/6 with the slideshow on March 9. I hope you will be able to participate. Are you doing the Muppets shawl??
All your makes are fabulous as always! and your yarn choices sublime!! I've finished my Effloresce wrap, just need to block and photograph before emailing you my finished project. Waiting on yarn I've ordered for Reverdie Wrap. Handstitched makes are just so much more special than buying an item that is mass produced. Pray the doctor can ascertain why you such problems with your eyesight, rectifying it asap so you can continue enjoying your knitting without straining your eyes. God bless oxox
Morning Gina! Everything was beautiful as usual. Favourite is still the As You Wish, it’s stunning. Wish you could do this years as well but don’t overstrain your eyes. Rest now to help with healing. Handstitched is how I made dolls for our kids when they were little, I like knitting them more as you know. Hope everything turns out well this week, take care! Working my part 2 today!
Hi sweet Ingrid, thank you and so wonderful to see you. So happy you have finished your Effloresce and will be making also a Reverdie. I know your Effloresce is gorgeous, such beautiful pinks!! And I can't wait to see what you make for the crochet shawl. I know it will be amazing!! Thank you for your kind words. I think it will be a surgery on both eyes and it's supposedly very simple but I'm just tired of surgeries. I'm being a baby!! Hope you are feeling better!!
Can’t remember all the comments I wanted to make but we will be chatting at some point soon. Did you know that I am using that Cashsilk Sock from EFA in my Reverdie wrap?
I did and YOU, you are the one who turned me onto that yarn!! And I hope I can use that color at least one month this year in your MALs. Hope you are doing well today. Sorry I've been so ugh with headaches. Advil helps but I can be a bit grumpy, per Brian.

Thanks for sharing today. You have such lovely items to show.
Thank you so much 😊I really appreciate your being here and for such kind words. Hope you are having a lovely weekend!!
Handstitched and handmade items are made with quality and love and passion. Gina your MAL and your wip look great!
Hi Stacey!! It is so great to see you!! I hope you have been well. Totally makes my day to see you dear! Sending lots of hugs!
The handstitched projects are the best things to give and share!
Hi Marsha, totally agree!! Love in every stitch!! Hope you are well. It is always great to see you!
Beautiful shawl,
Hi Marie, thank you so much. Hope you are doing well today!
Always🧡🧡🙏✝️
Thank you sweetheart. Sending lots of love back and prayers for you and so appreciate your prayers. Going through some weird stuff right now. Hugs.
Those handstitched life stitch markers are great! I would love those! Great vlog! 🥰
HI Perri, thank you. I hope you are doing well sweet friend and having a great weekend!!
Love your handstitched blankets. I would love to learn the Japanese stitches. You’ve inspired me to do that. Thank you. I enjoy your podcast.
Hi sweet Angela, so nice to see you dear. I'm good and so happy to hear that you are as well!! What are you working on these days?
Wow wow wow! The shawls and yarns are gorgeous!
Roseann, you are so sweet, thank you!! It is our happy place right?? Hope you are having a great Saturday/weekend.
Haha.
I’m finishing watching and got to say I want to do the Muppets, looked at the yarns and loved them by Amanda Hope ❤
Big Hugs Gina 🤗
Same to you sweet friend!
Love you loads, Gina! Prayers and good wishes always for you... A
Hi Gina so sorry you are having trouble with your eyes you and Judy are so inspirational looking at your Japanese blanket and thinking I really should try that I really enjoy doing handstiched items such as crazy quilts oh and thanks again for the Reverdie wrap pattern take care
Hi Diane, same. you are so sweet and we have a lot in common. I will let you know and hope you are having a great wekeend!!
Hey Gina, your Handstitched works are always so beautiful 😊 I don't know how you keep up with all the MAL's
Hi Karli, I am a Ravelry stalker! You can look at the current top patterns and most times, these hit the top ten at least one day so I see it. Now you know all my secrets! Hope you are doing well! Would you knit the Muppet Shawl??
Thanks for sharing your secret lol. I might just depends. 😀@@KnittingTurnPike
That shawl is beautiful. The square a month blanket is going to be stunning. The stitch markers are so cute. I am all MALed out. I'm so far behind.
I do like handstitched,prouects too
Hi sweet friend, thank you so much for your kind words. I am so sorry to hear about your vision issues. It has been eye opening, no pun intended, about how much I really depend on my eyesight. I hope you are ok and I hope your eyesight can get better too dear. Sending hugs.
Hi Gina I loved the intro!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤
Your projects, many many, are all beautiful!
I love the new yarn 🧶 purchases. The colors are beautiful.
The handstitched life stitch markers are really nice! You get the best stitch markers!!!
Loved seeing the two mystery shawls you completed over the last two years. You again are one of my favorite knitters. Your work is impeccable 🧶🧶🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
I’ll definitely sign up for the fund raiser!!
I broke my promise to myself to not get yarn, I was watching Arcane Fibres videos & saw this marvelous green, I go to the website...SO many beautiful colors!! What do I get??? 3 browns, a perfect fade!! But..... 🤦🏻♀️ 🙄 Yeah, you know me!!
Maybe next time. 🤷🏻♀️
Wishing everything goes well for your dr appointment!!?
Hi sweetheart, thank you. So glad you emailed me and you know I am thinking of you and sending you lots of love!
Hello 🤗
Well hello, how are you?
Hello my sweet friend. I miss seeing you in these streets. I'm sending you hugs 🤗 and lots of love. 😊
