Here's a suggestion for prepping kids lunches is getting those bento boxes and you can color coordinate each one to each child and help them prep the night before to what they like. It can stay in the refrigerator and when the kids are packing their lunch bag they can get their bento box in the ref. If you have snacks set up in your pantry where they can reach them. They can get what they want to have. I hope that helps. I love your videos! 😍

Hiya congrats on your anniversary ❤
Tip I always do lunches in the evening, saves time in the morning. If sandwiches aren’t there thing take a couple of trays in the fridge have washed prep fruit ready, yogurts, cheeses, cold meats I always have frozen ice packs in the lunch box too . In a cupboard have a basket with healthy snacks they can choose, whatever you know there eat . Have there bottles cleaned in the evening ready to fill in the morning so it’s like I kido lunch production line they can grab there lunch box ( pop the freezer pack in) let them choose the items from the fridge then the cupboard so there involved. Maybe while planning your shopping just ask what they would like for lunches the next week ❤ hope this helps xxxx

For school lunches I would have lots of salad ingredients prepped in the fridge so they can make wraps and mix and match what they put inside. Also making batches of fritters with corn, courgette, bacon, cheese is a great grab and go lunch. Also either buying or making dips for the week like different flavours of hummus or whatever your kids like, then serving them with crackers, veggie sticks, toasted pita etc. 😊

Always pack lunches the night before. I think mom needs to teach them how to pack a healthy lunch. I would suggest/supervise at least the first week then ask if they had enough, did they eat it all, throw anything away? I used to bake bread for sandwiches and muffins, cookies and my sons told me they used to throw it away 😢

My kids loved hot lunches, rarely a sandwich. After, I served supper, I’d dish out the food in containers for lunch the next day. I did thermos bottle food if they didn’t have a microwave. I even cooked hot dogs and left them in the hot thermos. That was a favourite. I’d warm the thermos and their food would be still warm for lunch. They loved soup, salads and homemade lunchables. We made lunches the night before because that worked for us. If they didn’t want leftovers or any other suggestion, they’d make a sandwich. This was as young as 6 they started. Of course I’d momma check to ensure it was done but by age 10 they were completely independent.

I get stressed out too!! We're going from 1 to 2 kids in school now so coordinating supplies and needs is getting to me!!
As for lunches, my oldest is pretty independent and will make himself a sandwich and grab things from the fridge. I have a friend who hardboils eggs ahead of time and bags them in pairs so her kids (she has 7) can grab it and go. I want to do the same thing but also with carrots, apple slices, trail mix, etc so my kids can build their lunch real quick and go. I'm always at work by the time they wake up and my husband is usually still sleeping (he works til after midnight) so having them able to 'grab n go' is ideal. I'm going to stock up on milk cartons too, the shelf stable kind, so they grab that too and not worry about buying milk from the school

Prep fruit/veggies and leave the container on a lower shelf of prepackage fruit/veggies in snack ziplock bags. Since ur kds arnt fans of sandwiches maybe do meat/cheese roll ups (Think charcuterie board but bento box style lol!) for small thermal bowls/cups you can do Mac n cheese, pasta, chicken sausages, you can even put cooks veggies in them! Possibilities are endless you just have to get creative Nachos … put in the thermal thing and chips on the side so they arnt mushy! Every few days slip in a little sweet treat and a positivity note

School lunches: see if the school has a microwave for the kids, if they do, then get microwave Mac ‘n cheese, dinty moore beef stew, etc; also make most of the lunches the night before. Prep celery and carrot sticks in reusable silicone snack bags or containers, slice block cheese into cracker sizes and separate with wax paper, get pepperoni or other meat sliced to cracker size. If your boys like guacamole, buy the minis (ranch dressing comes in to go minis also). Packets of trail mix or granola, etc, pretzels, chips in large bags and pt a snack size in reusable containers as they want them (much cheaper than the lunch bag size of chips). Sliced fruit or grapes and berries in small snack size bags or containers. There are lunch bags that can go in the freezer and stays cold or buy thin, reusable ice bricks; like someone else suggested, bento boxes are good too. Prep the snacks, fruits/veg and cheeses and meats on Sundays for a week of lunches and keep in a clearly marked bin in the fridge “School Only” and in your pantry keep “School Only” bins for shelf stable items. By labeling, it stops the boys and you and Bobby from being tempted to grab as a quick snack. Have a Freya bin too and get her in the habit of reaching for a quick snack or lunch at home so when it’s time for her to go to pre-school or “big” school she is already “trained” to grab prepped food for her lunch box. We are empty nesters with full time jobs and we do this for ourselves even now as we did when our children were still at home and in school.

Love your honesty about not being a morning person 😂 my kids don’t eat school lunch so what I usually do is pack air fried foods. I get him a bento box and while we’re getting ready to leave the house I just throw something in the air fryer. I usually do nuggets, tenders, mozzarella sticks, one day you can pack a lunchables pizza, a chicken salad, dumplings, my sons favorite and this is from leftovers is chicken teriyaki with white rice. I just store leftovers away and in the morning just throw it in the microwave to warm up and pack it in the bento box. Hopefully this helps, I’m pretty sure you’ll find a plan that works best for you and your family ❤

This either works or doesn't, depending on your kids and family. But what I've found works for the kiddos is to have different food groups in different containers. For instance, a container for fruit, veggies, "healthy" pantry snacks, a sweet treat, etc, etc. The night before or morning of, the kids can go through and grab one thing from each container! This way, your kids are involved in making their lunches, and you know that they're getting balanced meals.

The first couple of weeks each year we would pack lunches together after dinner to get them in the habit then after dinner each night I would say time to pack lunch and they would do it themselves. I suggest transitioning to packed lunches, especially the first couple weeks of school. Maybe look at the monthly menu on the school calendar, and pick some days that the menu sounds yummy, and still plan school lunch on those days, but then pack lunch on the other days. Thermos hot lunches work well, but you need to experiment with putting boiling water in the thermos while it's empty to heat it up, and then adding hot food like mac and cheese, or ramen, and then make sure you don't have leaks, and seeing how hot the food stays. Just some tips from one Mom to another! If you aren't a morning person, just put lunches together the night before.

You are my soul sister, seriously. I used to get so overwhelmed with school lunches and I am not a morning person either. I looked into bento boxes on Amazon, which are so cool, because it comes as a complete kit with the lunchbox and the carrying case. Some of them even have the thermos too. My kids would heat up leftover dinner because they don’t love sandwiches either, and stick it in the thermos in the morning. And I made sure to have plenty of fresh fruit and either carrots or celery with little ranch cups to dip it in. But the Bento box concept is cool because it’s a complete meal. You have your main dish, your vegetable, your fruit, and a small little space for a sweet treat. My kids packed their lunches the night before and filled up their Hydro flasks so that the water was cold all day for them at school when they needed to drink it. All this made everything flow really good in the morning.

Happy Anniversay to both of you!!! I love that Freya still wears princess dresses. I love all you shorts of her cleaning. My brother and brother in law both have tattoo wedding rings. They both work where wearing any metal rings is dangerous. My falther in law is a mechanic and when her was younger almost lost his finger because of his wedding ring. Keep up the great videos!!!

We’re in the market for a new kitchen table, and I love yours! Would you mind telling me where you got yours?? Thanks! P.S. I’m new to your channel and I’m absolutely loving it! My husband is loving it too because it’s really inspiring me to clean everything! 😂

I'm always shocked when I use a power hose cleaner on the floor maps in my car, just how much dirt comes out. Equally, it's very satisfying knowing that this is not in my car mats. I think it's a great idea to have your children make their own lunches for school. We did it growing up and my Mother did it that way to teach us kids how to be resourceful and take care of ourselves too, if needed.
