My Granny always said the biggest rule to cleaning was Have a place for everything, and put everything in its place! Make your bed when you get up, wash dishes after every meal, put trash away when you're done, and dust 1 room a day. Also, clean a spill right when it happens, before it stains or dries.

Love these tips and tricks! One of my favorites from you is to do small deep cleans throughout the year vs spring and fall cleaning. Those whole house big cleans would paralyze me. It's like you gave me permission to space it out. 😊 Thank you!
I too keep cleaning products on each floor i.e. in kitchen, laundry, bath. Cleaning cloths/spray bottle in bedroom closet, so convenient to tackle something quick.
I do want to get a vacuum for my second floor. Hate carrying such a heavy machine on the stairs. I think that is another great idea from you!
      Keep these hints coming!!

My cleaning tips: always make my bed, never leave a room empty handed so there’s no clutter, spot clean, loads of laundry every day and small reset through out the week to avoid a major cleaning project. I also try to clean the house before the weekend or vacation so I can enjoy a clean home, and most importantly, give myself grace 😉

I totally agree. Also, I have been amazed at how much easier it is to keep house when you get rid of a lot of unnecessary stuff, stuff you don't love or need anymore. This gives you the space to put what you do use away, and gives you less to maintain. I am constantly getting rid of stuff.

Personally, I think if you have to do loads of laundry every day, you have too many clothes. Just my opinion. Apparently back in the day they only did laundry once a week.
But I agree with everything else you said

Don’t forget to do under the fridge. On mine, there is a kick plate that pops off and I slide the hose under the move it around. It’s important to the maintenance of the fridge to do this, it helps keep the coils and hoses clean and improves the efficiency of your unit. It also can help cut down on repair and replacement costs, because the unit doesn’t have to work so hard if the hoses and coils are clean.

These are outstanding tips/tricks Cambriea and from my own experience, you are absolutely correct. If you stay on top of things daily the housework doesn't get out of control. Since I work outside the home, as I cook dinner in the evening, I use the time dinner is cooking to do cleaning, and re-setting the house. So, that 30 minutes daily is massively impactful and it eliminates the house getting into such a state, that it would take days just to get it right again if I let it go and didn't do those 30 minutes daily. Once a week I pick a larger project and do it, just one thing is all that is needed. Every few months I will do focused deep cleans. All combined efforts save time and keep your house in shape so that it never becomes overwhelming.

And what a cute little helper you have! 😊❤ Freya is just precious, and she is learning to clean right, just like her mama! ❤ When I was younger, every Spring I would give the house a really thorough cleaning. Since I'm much 😂 older, I have learned to do like you, split those deep cleaning jobs up throughout the year, not to bust my butt by doing it all during one week! Lol! It's sooo much easier and less stressful this way. 😊❤

I keep a small stack of white cotton bar towels everywhere there's a sink, and after I use the sink, I wipe it dry and catch any water spots on the faucets and mirror. In the main bathroom the towels sit on the counter because it's the most used bathroom, everywhere else they are in a cabinet as to not add to visual clutter.

One of the thing I do is take a inventory of ALL CLEANING SUPPLIES, from surface cleaners to detergent & everything in between once a month & refill bottles or containers. Also before the weekend or if expecting company i make sure I do a super quick vacuuming and dust or glass cleaning, do a surface clean of the toilet & counters of guest bathroom & then get my wax warmer ready for a fragrant day when they arrive. I get compliments every time someone walks in the door of how nice my house smells. Thanks for motivation. Greetings from sunny California 👍👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😎!

Love these videos! I found your channel about 2.5 years old now because it was right before we moved into our new house! I was very overwhelmed with 4 kids, and the mess everywhere! I told myself, when I move into my new house I will make sure everything has a place! I tell my kids everything has to have a “home”! I decluttered every room in the house before packing! I always make sure to keep up with the mess like you said! That has helped me so so much! In the summer time we have more to do but I always make sure we are keeping the main living area tidy. My problem has been lately since we live in a two story home and now have 5 kids ( age from 9-8 month old) it so easy to keep the main area cleaned up( living room, kitchen, toy room) but the 2nd level, doesn’t always get clean every day! Mainly just once to twice a week then it’s overwhelming as you can guess with 5 kids! I know you don’t have a two story home no more, but any tips! I do always do a Sunday reset, I know it will get easier once the kids are back in school because I always clean while there in school and we will have 3 in elementary this year and 1 in preschool! Our top stairs has the master bedroom ( which is hard to clean throughout the day because my husband work midnight one week and then days the next week) and master bathroom, 3 kids bedroom, a hallways and the kids bathroom. Thank you! I love your videos! I also didn’t realize until I watched you that I don’t enjoy cleaning, but I enjoy the after effect of a nice tidy home!

Hello my friend, first off i have to say Freya is so precious and getting so big also her hair is really growing. She is such a mini you which is so cute💞. When i was younger i kept up with my husband and kids and cleaning and maintaining routines etc.but now I'm a 67 yr.old widow with a major back disability and raising my 3 grandsons so i don't have the energy or motivation i use to have. Just doing the basics cooking, dishes, laundry, making my bed (boys do their own) is hard enough since there are so many other things you have to do while raising kids (you know how it is) so I'm trying really hard to declutter and get my house simplified so it's much easier on me and my back. Any suggestions from anyone would be greatly appreciated. I agree about deep cleaning all year especially since I'm not physically Ave to spring clean and i live your thoughts on that. Your videos and explanations have helped me more then you will ever know❤❤. Thank you so much and have an amazing week with your previous little Freya. See you Friday 😘 💓

Also, don’t be afraid to recycle or donate items you may not be using. Less clutter to deal with. I also taught our children to participate in cleaning and how to maintain a clean, sanitary environment. It’s important to know that cleaning involves disinfecting too.

I do my bathroom every day first job then the kitchen then I hoover and mop top to bottom every day every other I do the bedding. I use a damp microfibre to clean glass mirrors and windows. I have my washing going all the time. That's how I keep my house semi normal. I damp dust as well. I clean my litter tray every day with fresh litter my birds get cleaned every other day

I always watch your videos. I don't always get to comment because it's on my TV or because I'm listening while I'm at work. I definitely get ideas and usually the motivation I need to try and clean my house after a long day at work. Thank you!! ❤

I love to see children helping out and to Freya it must look fun. My top it to assisn each person a laundry day or to do one load a day. That won't work for everyone but it works for us (most of the time). Also, each person is responsible for putting away their own laundry.

I am that person with OCD! I love cleaning and usually clean daily. Unfortunately, right now I am dealing with a Lupus flare up. My cleaning took on a new meaning when I was diagnosed with autoimmune disease. It's my way of keeping the germs down. Most people who visit me always say, I can eat off your floors. It brings me joy to clean, so weird I know. Great tips, I just did a four bag drop off to Goodwill with clothing I no longer wear. Enjoy the vacation you and Freya!

Idk what it was about this vlog but Cambriea you inspire me so much that at your age I will be having as much fun. That is not at all an insult but I sometimes worry I’ll be less fun as I get older. I’m 10 years younger than you and you make me excited for my 30s.

Omg, the 30s are amazing. I was so self-conscious when I was in my 20s, and once I hit my 30s, my confidence grew so much, and I got to a point where I didn't care what most people thought. It's like a big sigh of relief

What helps me is: 5 or 10 minute tidy before bed every night (take dishes/glasses to kitchen, fold couch blankets, put away mail, etc.) and for all of the time - "don't put it down, put it away."

My little old puppy has incontinence and we got her a cute diaper off Etsy and use it to cover pull-ups that fit her. I just cut a little hole for her tail. It’s easier to change her pull-up than to find her accidents…
