Yes it makes everything easier especially as you get older.. if not being used it’s taking up valuable space Makes cleaning so much easier and gives you more time to spend on the valuable things in your life..
My favorite decluttering tool is the donation basket. I modified this from The Minimal Mom's "Time will Tell" bin. I keep a nice basket by my front door, lined with a trash bag. When i notice that i no longer need something, i just toss it in the basket. When the basket is full, i take the trash bag to the donation center. This takes the anxiety away from making a big project out of decluttering.
My biggest tips that have helped me out is 1 everything needs to have a place it belongs because if you value what you have you will find it somewhere in your home 2 put it away don't just put it down
My youngest daughter had a hoard of stuffed animals that was taking over her room at one point. She was emotionally attached to all of them so we ended up taking a picture of her in the Middle of a huge pile that she agreed to give up. That way if she missed them she had a memory to look at. Worked like a charm!
I love that you respected her feelings and found a solution that was healthy physically in that she had a manageable amount of stuffed animals but also healthy emotionally in that she has the photo to remember the ones that were rehomed ❤
One trick I've found in decluttering my home is once I've gotten a few bags of donations together, I have to get them out of the house as soon as possible. I know this may be a basic step, as well as, an obvious one, but I've noticed how much stress is lessened and I'm not tempted to re-go through the bags "just in case". Also, don't try to declutter in the winter. I've found that I'm more likely going to keep what I have bagged up. ❤❤
I have ADHD and what I find works is to select an area in my house like for example my work desk, and start decluttering little by little. This is so that I don’t feel overwhelmed. One day you will just realize that you’ve decluttered a lot. Good luck on the decluttering guys 😄
My husband I both have ADHD. I keep only cleaning content on the TV when he’s helping me, cause he will just are at screen folding the same thing wrong for like 40 mins. 😂 so by keeping cleaning content on the TV it helps to not distract us and remind us both to stay on task. 😊😊
Lately I’ve been obsessed with the idea of “curating” my space. Being intentional about what I bring in the house. Just because something is cute, a good deal, whatever doesn’t mean I need it. I have my recycle bin right outside the door to my garage. I usually get my mail when I come home and drive up to the mailbox. The junk mail never comes in the house now. Straight into the bin as I come inside. I love breaking my task lists down to the really specific items because I can cross off more items and get a sense of accomplishment from each item crossed off! I love watching Dana K White’s decluttering videos. She calls the flat surface rule the visibility rule. Start with the visual spaces first. The sense of accomplishment/dopamine you get from clearing your visual spaces can help motivate you to work on the non-visual spaces.
Such a true statement-that we Moms are more attached to our kids' toys than they are with few exceptions. This has helped me so much and I am glad to hear someone else say it out loud! Thank you! My son tried to tell me this once but I was not ready to admit I was having trouble with his growing up and becoming more independent... Then I found and put on the front of my refrigerator a magnet that says 'Let go or be dragged.' Best reminder and in a humorous way to see beyond my sentimentality. I can love him and revel in his growth and declutter the items he no longer needs or wants. I always get a kernel or more of wisdom and experience when I watch your videos. I appreciate the candor with kindness way you have of sharing. Thank you so much! BTW: love the new house!
Hi Cambriea, I am now at my age of 58 , releasing a lot of stuff and putting in a nice way. I figure as I'm aging, I will get rid of what I dont need myself. I'm not leaving it for someone in my family to deal with. Also, I donate what i deemed to be just that. I love your video's they do help me motivate myself to recognize and figure another way. I, too, deal with high anxiety, and cleaning helps me deal with it. ❤🙏
before i do a room i sit down and drink a cup of coffee or a beer and make a list. or two lists. To do and To buy. i write everyting down to clear my thoughts and to kinda give myself a checklist to go into the project clear headed. most of the time i dont buy everything on the list but i will move it to my wishlist.
My mum passed away last year and having to clear out her house has made me realise that I need to start on my own home. "Stuff" is a burden. I agree, Cambriea, we need to buy less and bring less into our house. Very helpful video, thankyou ❤
It also made me realise how little stuff is worth. It was a real eye opener, a bit disheartening, that eg furniture or crockery we'd thought was valuable nobody wanted because they were dated and not trendy. I looked at my own stuff differently then.
You have so many wonderful ideas and it really gets me motivated. I found an easy way to declutter as I go room by room cleaning... I take a large garbage bag and a big box into every room I am cleaning. As I clean I find stuff that is either trash, broken or unusable it goes in the bag.. If it's still good but I no longer want it it goes in the big box for donations. By the time I'm done I have less stuff because it's bagged or boxed. And out it goes.
Currently decluttering my house. About 50% done. Many areas I have decluttered several times, each time purging more and keeping less. I'm finding that if I can't make a decision to get rid of some things (mostly for sentimental attachments), if I set them aside, but where they will be in my way and I have to constantly move them, it gets easier to make the decision to let them go or least reduce the amount I am keeping. I had recently stopped decluttering the house and started decluttering a large quonset hut (about the size of a 6 car garage) that is so full there is barely room for out tractor and riding mower. Most of it still I boxes and bins from our move here 13 years ago. But I brought stuff into the house that increased the clutter here - so I have put that on hold until I finish decluttering the house. I am determined to finish in the next week - a final purge of clothes and shoes, cleaning supplies, the linen closet, and more papers and office supplies. I've given away a big box of office supplies to a teacher, I've purged hundreds of books, boxed and bagged, ready to donate, gathered art and craft supplies to give to a neighbor's daughter. Once I finish with the house, then I will start on the quonset hut again, and then I have 2 storage units to empty. They are full of things from a house I inherited. I was still working and had limited time to go thru things and was just overwhelmed with the task. Although I gave away, sent to auction and donated about 80% of the contents, I still filled 2 storage units with stuff I needed to get out of the house so I could sell it. It is past time to get rid of the rest, but although one unit is almost all furniture!, which I have already started giving away, the other is full of boxes and bins and I can't remember what is in them, so they all have to be looked thru before I can give away or donate.
We do a toy rotation. We change out the toys every 3 months. If any of the toys that have been packed away for 3 months still aren't played with or looked over, We donate them. We talk about how they are now going to children that will love and play with them. Keeps ontop of the toys and eliminates the guilt of donating them.
Thank you for this video! I love your tips and hacks. I have one to share. The extra random towels you can save in tote box if have an emergency flooded areas. You keep them in your car for spills or picnics outside. You never know when a towel could come in handy. Much love Tennessee 💜👍😁
The best thing I heard recently if you have a hard time getting rid of something because it was expensive. And you’re not using it. And probably won’t use it. You’ve already wasted the money when you bought the thing in the first place. That has helped me a lot.
I have to say water mugs, tumblers are something that people tend to collect. It took me a while to invest in a Yeti, but absolutely love it and have used for over 4 years without the want or need for a new one. The thing I have learned is to find products you love because it makes the "want feeling" for other things to go away. I clean all the time, but declutter/organize 2 times a year. Each time it gets less and less stressful because there isn't as much to sort through. Great tips as always!
I'm with you on the mail. As soon as it comes in the house, it is separated. Junk mail in the recycling; bills opened and set aside from their envelope and stuffers. Bills are in a vintage napkin rack on my desk. Magazines are glanced at immediately. If I don't have time to thumb through them, they are recycled as a new one seems to come the following week. (Can always look online whenever) I do periodically take time to call catalog companies and nonprofits to get off their mailing lists. I too like to tackle small as in a drawer or cupboard at a time in kitchen. Same with drawers or closets in other rooms. Every time I look at a completed project, it motivates me on to the next. Please keep your motivation videos and tips coming. They also greatly imspire me. 😊 Thank you Cambria!
What helps me is not to look at all the projects I want to get done at once (that gets overwhelming) Start with one and get it done ✅ It truly is motivating :) I also break my chores up by days of the week. Example laundry is Monday. That along with daily chores is enough for that day. Tuesday bedding, Wednesday vacuum, .... obviously life happens and you may have to vacuum up a mess LOL
I was so happy to hear speak about minimizing the amount of things coming IN to go along with decluttering. Being intentional about everything you acquire and choose to keep is key, for me. My tip for minimizing clutter, “if its not an ‘absolutely yes’ its a no” ask yourself this when choosing to buy or keep something.
Love Clutterbug! I'm a butterfly 🦋 which tends me towards maximalism. Also love Dana K White and clutter threshold. I keep the things I use like clothes minimal. If I don't use it regularly out it goes because those are the things that create chaos in my home. However I still have a maximalist decor style like gallery walls. If I start having trouble keeping a space tidy I know I have hit my clutter threshold and need to get rid of stuff be it clothes or decor. Also follow Dana K White container theory and decluttering without making a bigger mess.
I just decluttered my clothes closet. I got 4 full bags of unused fashions. I already dropped them off to Goodwill. I am a casual clothes person now. I wore suits and dresses for decades. Now I love my athletic wear.
We adhere to pretty strict "something in, something out" rules for ourselves. If we bring something into the house, something needs to go. It takes no time at all for a home to get cramped and cluttered, and dust settles on it all, lol. Makes more work when cleaning.
There must be something in the air cause I just got done decluttering so much in my closet, clothes my kids grew out of from the summer time, junk in my junk drawers, and even stuff out in the back patio 😁🙌🏽
I have a husband who takes care of the bills and the paper clutter. His filing system with the mail is to stand in front of the trash can and throw most of junk mail away. Whew this is helpful.
Wow thank you for this fantastic declutter motivation ! I liked that you've actually filmed while decluttering things right away with the regular bathroom trash so once you're decided to discard something, you can't really cange your mind after 👍 I hope you'll need to declutter the master bedroom like that one day as it's where I struggle the most to discard stuff like old magazines and even nicer fashion catalogs/flyers and by far the hardest for me it's any of my clothes that can't be donated. Most of the time I just put those in a clean bag that I leave in the garage for months/years and sometimes just untill I'm moving out 😅 I also like when you're emptying just the regular trash too as it's a quick chore that make the house fresh and less cluttered and that I also try to see if people have to toss anything I struggle to when they film this part 🤭
I love how you narrate all your tips as you show a sped up version of you decluttering, cleaning and folding etc so we can actually see the process. It’s super helpful! ✨✨✨
Hi Cambria Thank you so much for this video. Decluttering is what I am working on. If it becomes overwhelming I get my daughter to help and my son-in-law. They are both great with Decluttering. Thank you for your tips.
Good advice. In July I went to Virginia to help my daughter move. Boy did she have clutter. When we would bring a carload of boxes back...I had her sit down and I would bring stuff out and say...keep or donate. Very proud of her...she donated alot.. me..when I look around and say..why do I have that...I donate. TAKE care.
I just discovered your channel/this video, and think it's amazing! I love love that you actually deep clean + show all the details (not just a 10min highlight-reel of regular cleaning). I'm struggling with mental health issues & having a hard time getting myself to move/do all the deep cleaning + purging/decluttering I'd really like to do. Hope videos like this will help. Thanks!
I am house sitting for a month. When I arrived the house looked tidy, but every drawer in the kitchen, pantry and cupboards are overloaded. I have re-organised one shelf of the pantry, the cutlery drawer and sorted one container of utensils out of the four on the bench, pots and pans because I am using those on a daily basis. If there was an empty cupboard I would stash the rest of the clutter out of sight. Just that little bit of time has made me feel more relaxed and calm.
I've just done this in my small flat. I live alone and don't hold on to clutter anyway, but there's always something that you never use. Got 4 boxes and a large bag of stuff to donate. It feels great 😁❤
Absolutely yes to more videos 🙌🙌🙌 I really thought that when you started in your bathroom drawers that you were going to add the organization containers 😂😂 to keep things in its place 🙌🙌🥰🥰♥️♥️
I try to make sure that everything that comes into my house has a purpose. We just built our First custom home last November and I worked really hard to only bring gin items that had a true purpose for being in the home. Really enjoying your videos. 😊
I watch your videos to motivate me 😅 I also have been watching some videos on Minimalist living. I can’t remember their names but there was a documentary on RUclips about these 2 friends changed their lives around and became minimalists. Now I didn’t go the drastic measures but I kept what they’ve said in mind plus the other decluttering organizing method Konmari method. Anyways I’ve been feeling so much better about decluttering and organizing my home lately, cleaning has been a whole lot better and easier too. I’ve took your advice on letting my children and husband see me give up the things I just don’t need like clothes and junk and why hold on to it. It did motivate them to declutter their own bedrooms and spaces in the house. The kids have an easier play area without all the overwhelming amount on toys & broken toys or “lost the other side to a toy”. They grew out of past “topic” toys like Disney Cars, Cocomelon, tea party dishes. My husband saw all the decluttering I did on all my clothes and shoes so that motivated him to declutter a little at a time. He liked seeing the difference in our closet lol Thank you so much for your motivating videos, the chatting in between, ideas and craftiness in all the home renovations you and Bobby have made! I can’t wait to tackle my house with fall decor soon!
I really declutter every month now. Usually section by section, each month, on my non-working days. Even if is just ONE item Eg January > unwanted gifts donated/boxes/gift packaging/un used christmas stationary/decor (I am grateful, I just really hate ugly clutter) February > dvds/electronics/kitchen March > medicine/ tolietries/towels/duvet sets April > attic/shoes May > bookshelves/living rm June > clothes (that dont fit, no more 'just in case') July > makeup/skincare August > more clothes (change in season/things I didn't wear this year that gotta go). It may seem excessive decluttering but it really makes me think 5 times before I spend my money on anything. My home looks like a shop display > no clutter, perfectly arranged, every item got a 'home', easier to clean quickly bc there's less things to dust/wipe/rearrange 😂
Good advice all around. I have the habit of decluttering everywhere I am. I do several donations a year because there is always something we don't need. Thanks for your work!
Being an crafty kind of person, I've learned that having tons of supplies just in case can get over whelming so I down sized by getting rid of the majority and if I decide to take on a certain project, I'll get what supplies I need just for that project and get rid of any left overs once I'm done.
It took me watching RUclips channels like yours to get into the decluttering or as I say “the cleaning bug bit me”. I’d be like “oh hey! I need to do that!” And going through room by room, I got my house straightened up and decluttered! Just making a schedule of what needs done helped and now it’s just part of my routine.
hello!🥰 I love your videos, they help me to be motivated to tidy and clean. I also have a habit of getting rid of things I don't need 😀! many kisses from here in Sintra Portugal 🇵🇹, to your beautiful family! 😘😘😘😘
Haha girl, I feel the laundry room!! Our laundry is in a corner of the garage. I want it to look pretty but it's a garage and making it functional is what's most important! I struggle decluttering, but mostly if i havent used it in 6 months it goes into a bag or box. If i still havent used it in 6 more months its gone. I give myself a year leeway.
Oh Cambriea!!! This came at the perfect time. I am just getting started decluttering my entire home. Trying so hard to work on one bite at a time. I get so anxious to get it all out. Thanks for all the great tips 😘♥️
Haha. My daughter found my prom dress at my mom house. It’s still fits me and looks amazing. It was a timeless classic. Just posted it to my shorts. Was a huge inspiration to me at Christmas when I was feeling the holiday pounds piling on
I decluttered my bathroom drawers and the bins helped me to keep things organized much better than just randomly putting things in the drawer and I could find the things I need much easier.
I love these type of videos and just tackle one project and then when it’s done it’s done and then the next time I can task another one. That’s what I gotta do for mg closet gotta finish declutter the top shelf of my closet this will be my motivation, thank you for that, hope you guys enjoy your weekend! 💜
In Europe to cut back on trash and recycling, you can sign up to have no junk mail and if you have a sign next to your post box/letterbox, those delivering junk mail have to honor that or you can have the deliverer fined. You're encouraged to sign up to receive your bills online, eliminating waste. Kinda wish they had this here in the States.
Hey! Have you maybe thought about going tankless so that you can get rid of the big bulky water heater in the laundry room? It takes up a lot less space and you have unlimited hot water! We upgraded last year and it has been amazing. You could even sell the old one to recoup some of the cost of switching? Just a thought!
When I declutter my closet I follow three things and I go through it two times. I ask myself these three things to decide if it should stay or go. 1. It is currently my size 2. Have I worn it in six months 3 Does it have a stain. I live in Alaska and do not wear summer gear for more then a few months each year so the shorts, swim stuff all go together in my space. I primarily wear pants for home and work so I got rid of 98% of dresses a few years ago. At least twice a year I go through my clothes. I use around five pairs of pants, ten shirts, and three cardigans. Most people would find they reuse the same items many times during the month. When sorting I found that going through things twice I was able to be very ruthless the second time around. Hope this helps someone who also has piles and clutter as I do.
Hi! I find that I get motivated to declutter at the change of seasons. Like switching winter to summer clothes or decor. I try on every piece, good bad, do I even like it anymore? And plan a ge together! Clean and go through a drawer, but seriously who's gonna check out my cutlery drawer? Lol
I minimised our stuff after we moved across the world and back again. Now I don’t bring things in the house unless I know I will use it. I realised I didn’t need multiple dinnerware sets, coffee cups that weren’t a set, too many mixing bowls when I only use the same 3, etc. same with kids toys and clothes, I declutter it regularly so their rooms are easier to keep tidy. I also make sure I use up the entire shampoo or body wash before I bring out the new ones to avoid bottle clutter, same with dry goods. The less stuff we have the easier it is to keep a clean house.
What a fantastic list or hacks for us Moms! thanks for sharing. Great video idea. And I am still in love with the tile on the island for where the kids sit. Sharp!
A couple tips from But first, coffee: clean kitchen sink before going to bed. Each morning is then not starting behind by having to clean. Also a shout out to all the flat surfaces: magnets for my stuff.
I have issues with holding onto things that I don't use anymore...but I feel attached cause it was something from childhood or given by a long gone family memeber....It's an emotional attachment issue...I will always have the memories...Even if I let the items Go...
I don’t like clutter. So what I do is I get rid of stuff right away. If I haven’t used it in 1 year it’s gone. Your videos are like therapy. Thanks for sharing
I try to do it every year but it will be more often if that place is overflown, like the junk drawer, i do have a shelf in a cabinet that I have to random things, I have a lot of things but I relearing me to get it out of my house. I had a beutiful coffe dish from my moms grandmother. I give it to willgood, and I saw it today had being sold. Im happy, someone like it and wanted it. And I dont even drink coffe.😂😂
This was so great and motivating to listen to while decluttering my kitchen. I had to laugh about the part with gift givers being ok with getting rid of stuff that brings you stress, having experience with narcissists who will deliberately guilt you and act offended if you don't cherish their gifts forever. I think that may be a factor why I've struggled with hoarding. It's so liberating to let it go!
I have a tip, when you take out your garbage, put 4 or 5 bags in the can so the next couple times you take out garbage you don't have to worry about putting in a new bag. It also helps if you were to have a leak there is another bag underneath to collect it.
Starting in January, I turn all my hangers backwards. When I wear something, I turn in the right way, so at the end of a season/year I know what I've worn and not and it is easier to get rid of (donate) what I no longer use.
To me space is more valuable than clutter. I even used my wedding dress for a Halloween outfit for my youngest, many ,many moons ago (I’m a great grandmother now) Kept stuffed toys in the attic for years, but when my kids. grew up and married, they didn’t want them. Going to smaller homes through the years,it was a must to get rid of irrelevant things that I would never wear again or would never use again.. If family don’t want it then it’s gone. I’m the type who doesn’t like anything on show on worktops, just the kettle. If it doesn’t have a cupboard then it’s gone. I now only have what I wear, use or need. I declutter twice a year. Also at my age,I don’t family having to deal with rubbish when I’m no longer here.
I decluttered all my towels down to only white, now I buy only white, soak a bit in the wash with oxi clean and my towels stay nice and bright. It’s simple but makes the bathroom look less cluttered and laundry easier. No more bleached out or dyed towels.
Hi loved the video , I have a photo of the car I'm saving for and when I'm thinking of picking something up which I don't really need I'll look at my phone to keep on track and less stuff and clutter
Love all ur tips & think I use most of them! Think watching what u purchase & brin into ur home is key! I see stuff online all the time that I want but I either take a screen shot to revisit it later or put it in a wishlist(have a bunch of those on Amazon!;). I find when I wait a few days I realize I don’t need or even want the item!! 🥰 great vid Cambria!❤
I have all my clothes for all seasons in my 3 drawers and half a smaller closet I share with my husband. When I’m out of hangers and have messy drawers it’s time to let things go.
I NO LONGER have any guilt of decluttering gifts or expensive purchases. I don't like receiving stuff that I NEVER USE, and I dislike having random/non matching/ugly display pieces in my home. By having this rule I never buy something just bc it's a good deal unless it's a perfect match to my decor at home 👌 The spare $ that I saved from senseless purchases I spend it on my future expenses eg kids birthdays, Christmas gifts, expensive skincare repurchases, holidays.
Mail I have handled. I bring it and sort junk before setting the mail down. Rest of mail is sorted as to type importance. Bills are opened and paid on my phone at that time. All bills are online anyway so very few things are check worthy. Read later is in a basket near chair. I don’t let the mail OWN ME. I am so glad. However this is the only area of my day that is totally in the bag. Heavy sigh. But at least it’s a start.
I have really been looking forward to your videos for some motivation. My 6 week old has been busy keeping me up every night so I am TIRED. I definitely have stuff I need to get done around the house before school starts and I'm back to work there. I just celebrated my 30th birthday July 28th and my husband thought it was funny to remind me now he knows I'm getting old because instead of asking for a gift I made him a list of chores around the house I needed him to do or help me with 😅 .. I reminded him he is older than me and that I didn't give him a hard time when he got our dodge challenger in his mid life crisis lol. I have also been watching Bobby's channel and I really hope things start to get better for him. He is incredibly funny though, reminds me of my husband.
I stumbled upon your video this morning. I called off work today because I'm just so overwhelmed with all my junk! I absolutely loved your tips here!! One thing I thought of while watching you, what do you do with pictures and picture frames?? I always bought packages of pictures with tones left over (30 years worth!). What do you do with the pictures and picture frames??
Hi. You said about a water bill and here in the uk we fill a basin or sink to wash dishes. And l wondered wouldn't it be more economical to do the same rather than running the water to wash dishes. Or is this a cultural differences. Great video as always.
I'm trying to just declutter. My house is jam-packed and overstuffed. I'm just really stuck on getting motivated. The boys go back to school on the 21st, and I'm so not ready with routines and all the stuff that goes with it. You are so right about not all houses are the same. I don't have the big drawers that a lot of you guys have, which brings me to. Where did you get your drawer dividers? I like that they are solid. If I could afford to send you a plane t ticket or gas money, I would personally ask Bobby if I could borrow you for a couple of days. I had to chuckle when you said you couldn't change your laundry room cuz you and Bobby are so talented with that kinda stuff. Just look at what you've done with your home. You both have completely transformed it❤. Thank you for the answers to questions. I thought that was great! Just hearing it from someone else makes a huge difference. See you Tuesday! Have an amazing weekend❤
I found those at ikea. I really like them so far and thank you. Also it definitely can be so overwhelming and I hope some of these tips help you to break it down and make it a little easier
I'm trying not to spend any money, and I'm not bringing more stuff in the house so I'm using cardboard boxes for dividers, I buy granola bars at Costco and that is a really sturdy box, I just cut it down to fit into my drawers, I cover the cut down boxes with brown paper (because I have a HUGE roll my late husband brought home from work), if I decide the layout works then I may buy something, but I doubt it, I'm on a tight budget so recycled boxes it is!
Shallow drawer kits from Elfa. Best investment ever. The container store. One or two, per kid. No more dressers. Much easier. They move to college and back and first apartments easily. They fit in closets easily, etc. Keep just enough, not a bunch of extras. Have a plan or vision of what a tidy drawer looks like to you. Make it happen. One drawer at a time. You'll get there!
My problem is ordering any home decor I see. When it gets here I don't know where to put it along with 57 other things I ordered. Obviously I don't have any attachment to the things I ordered still in their boxes, so many things are going to the donation center. I like your tip. Dont order it if you don't have a spot for it in mind!! Love your channel...I have hopes to someday become that minimalist I want to be!! Keep on motivating me!! You're the best!!❤❤ 😊
I'm so happy I decluttered and minimized my home. I'm never looking back. My house is "emptier" but my life is more FULL 😊💖
Yes its makes such a huge difference ❤️
@@joanngreen8747 🥰🥰🥰
I subscribed to your channel!!😊💛
@@leashy1204 That's awesome. Thank you ❤️
Yes it makes everything easier especially as you get older.. if not being used it’s taking up valuable space Makes cleaning so much easier and gives you more time to spend on the valuable things in your life..
My biggest tips that have helped me out is
1 everything needs to have a place it belongs because if you value what you have you will find it somewhere in your home
2 put it away don't just put it down
My youngest daughter had a hoard of stuffed animals that was taking over her room at one point.
Excellent and creative coping- will use this one! Thanks.

I love watching Dana K White’s decluttering videos. She calls the flat surface rule the visibility rule. Start with the visual spaces first. The sense of accomplishment/dopamine you get from clearing your visual spaces can help motivate you to work on the non-visual spaces.
Yes that visibility rule is so right. You need that feeling of accomplishment to stay motivated 💪
I’ve been decluttering for about 6 months… little by little, it’s hard to go hard core, so I’m slow and steady.😊❤Have a nice weekend.
Thank you Cambria!
Yep, the only way I've been able to even get close to staying on top of paper problem. 😊
Yeah I love that
I was so happy to hear speak about minimizing the amount of things coming IN to go along with decluttering.
My tip would be being more mindful to what you are being in your home! This is a big one I am going to try to work on this year!
I just decluttered my clothes closet. I got 4 full bags of unused fashions. I already dropped them off to Goodwill. I am a casual clothes person now. I wore suits and dresses for decades. Now I love my athletic wear.
That's amazing
love your decluttering experience. I like the part going store less. that is exactly what I need to do.
We adhere to pretty strict "something in, something out" rules for ourselves. If we bring something into the house, something needs to go. It takes no time at all for a home to get cramped and cluttered, and dust settles on it all, lol. Makes more work when cleaning.
I’m so glad I watched this today! It’s nice to see someone give tips and take their time. ❤
There must be something in the air cause I just got done decluttering so much in my closet, clothes my kids grew out of from the summer time, junk in my junk drawers, and even stuff out in the back patio 😁🙌🏽
Great cleaning tips and motivation. It is most definitely a continuous thing. Clutter happens daily.
I struggle with the kids things. It helped to hear you say, I am more attached then my kids are. Thank you for that.
I love how you narrate all your tips as you show a sped up version of you decluttering, cleaning and folding etc so we can actually see the process. It’s super helpful! ✨✨✨
Hi Cambria
Thank you so much for this video. Decluttering is what I am working on. If it becomes overwhelming I get my daughter to help and my son-in-law. They are both great with Decluttering. Thank you for your tips.
Love the decluttering focus and especially paper processing. Great video, as always!
Aw im so glad. Thank you
Good advice.
Thanks!
1st thing on my iternary when I'm fully recovered from my heart surgery only my 4th week at home watching you Cambria I get idess
Purposeful living and acquisitions- a great plan! thanks
He liked seeing the difference in our closet lol
Thank you so much for your motivating videos, the chatting in between, ideas and craftiness in all the home renovations you and Bobby have made!
Hello Cambria! You always come up with the best tips better than anyone else. Your channel is just brilliant. Thank you for sharing 🇦🇺🦘🌷🍀🐶
Oh Cambriea!!! This came at the perfect time. I am just getting started decluttering my entire home. Trying so hard to work on one bite at a time. I get so anxious to get it all out. Thanks for all the great tips 😘♥️
Would love to see more of these videos. I look forward to learning all that I can on decluttering.
I keep a "Goodwill box" in my bedroom closet. Whenever we have something to donate, we stick it in there. When it gets full, we do a drop off.
I started doing that, too. It helps me a lot!
Thanks for sharing your cleaning motivation, Cambriea ❤
You’re the master of cleaning and organizing!❤
Everything about this video is great!! Thank you for the tips and encouragement! ❤️
Awesome tips! I really like saying I'm gonna declutter my nightstand rather than my bedroom. I'll have to give that a try. Thanks for all you do.
Thanks for sharing your decluttering hacks.
Hi, I have learned that less cabinets in the bathroom/kitchen /bedrooms. It worked. You will use only what you actually need.
Enjoyed this video. I love to declutter, making life so easy and simpler.
I love the tips, tricks and hacks. Keep them coming.
I watched so many videos on decluttering and yours made the most sense. Thank you
Hi loved the video , I have a photo of the car I'm saving for and when I'm thinking of picking something up which I don't really need I'll look at my phone to keep on track and less stuff and clutter
Thank you!!! You always have such wonderful tips on Cleaning and just keeping the Home!!!
Good idea! Deferring a purchase also helps me use good judgement especially if I am purchasing on a whim. Thank for saying this.
This year my grand-daughter wore her mothers prom dress, very classic! Couldn’t tell it was 20 years old. I’d share a picture if I knew how.
What brand is your drawer vacuum? Not seeing it in your amazon store. Video is very motivating!
I Love Watching You Clean Your Home ❤
Cambriea, the *non-attacher* to stuff. 😎 Amazing motivation. 🌞
Non-attacher! Yes this is right. Good sense-of-humor.
Hi!!!! I juat moved and i didnt know how emotional and draining it can be. My first moved in 10 years. Thanks for the motivation to declutter.
I have all my clothes for all seasons in my 3 drawers and half a smaller closet I share with my husband. When I’m out of hangers and have messy drawers it’s time to let things go.
I love your videos, your so motivating. Just wanted you to know. 😊
Aw happy belated birthday 🎂 also hopefully baby starts letting you sleep soon. I know that can be soooo hard
Remember progress, not perfection 👌
I love your videos and it's has motivated me more than you can ever know, thank you🤗
At 9.30, the drawer... i would put a tacky liner in first. The items move around alot less. Less chaotic when you open a drawer several times a day.
I got motivated to declutter while watching! Thank you :):)
