Been watching your videos for many years and whenever I don't know what to make for dinner, I immediately look into your playlists for inspiration. And I hope all is going well with your pregnancy. Wish you truly all the best in life! 💕
yup it should work too.. just adjust according to your taste. It's pretty safe. Let the caramel cool off a little so u can taste it at least, and then add the coffee while it's hot and mix.. :)
saw you on food network yesterday and felt so happy for you and a t the same time proud. thank you for staying true to yourself and your channel here...
When I make my caramel sauce, I usually at the butter at the end so that. A) I don't risk burning the butter, B) It gives the caramel sauce a nice sheen to it.
Last time I made caramel, I put a finger to the spoon and licked it to taste! Oh my goodness.. My finger and roof of my mouth instantly blistered! Don't do it people! It tastes better once you let it cool 😅 Thanks for the tip Laura. Also thanks for giving us a solution if it's over boiled or cooked. Found your channel a few weeks ago, and I'm obsessed. Love your recipes! Made your pumpkin bread recipe and swapped the flour for a gluten free baking flour mix. Divine 👌🏼
OMG! What an easy recipe to follow. I have tried a lot of other method but I either burn it or it crystallises once I add in the cream. Your method seems fool proof, i can't wait to try it. Thanks for sharing :)
this is a foolproof recipe! cozzzz it is easier to be made! i believe most of us, have failed so many times making caramel sauce especially during the caramalization process… ive burned my sugar for so many times, and ended up giving up making it!
Laura I am truly addicted to u dear..i mean what not i have tried of urs..its just mindblowing..just made this nw..ur quick salted caramel.the house smells soooo deadly yummy! its gorgeous! thanks love it!
Thanks I'm doing okay it's just really really windy right now my little sister window blew out my parents are trying to cover it up before the rain starts
Ooooh Laura your so awesome....I just made this, this morning and it came out perfect!!! I’m taking some cut apples and drizzling this over them for my work week treat! Your amazing thank you for the recipe 😍
I made this sauce yesterday and it’s delish! I have it in a jar in the fridge and it’s separated. Is that normal? Will it be fine once I reheat it? Thanks💖
drizzled over apples, pancakes, bread/cake like pumpkin or bread pudding, you can make caramel frosting. I made a caramel apple pie (just cooked apples in the caramel for a few minutes b4 filling pie shell, i did let it cool slightly)
it's caramel because of the cream. most toppings like fudge caramel and butterscotch all begin with sugar, so there's probably another ingredient added to the sugar to make butterscotch
Breyers came out with a salted carmel ice cream and I was sooo excited to try but it actually tastes like butterscotch. Turns out brown sugar is what make butterscotch and white sugar makes caramel. This recipe looks good but now I'm afraid that its going to taste more like butterscotch.
I cannot wait to make this! How long do you recommend we keep this, even if refrigerated? Though I don't imagine it'll last long for expiration to be an issue! ; p
I never thought that this caramel sauce could be made easier . Other instruction was that you should melt the sugar first before you put in the butter.
no, it won't 😊 you just need to add a little amount maybe one teaspoon just so the caramel sauce doesn't get burn easily..at the end the water will evaporate too..so it won't affect the sweet taste too much..hope it help!

Tip : add half a teaspoon of instant coffee mix to it.. really brings out the flavours

Imagine drizzling this over a dark chocolate ganached cake or even use it as a filling in-between cake layers - to die for!
I'm on a diet. And here you have to go and put up my favorite topping of all time. You are mean woman, Laura... just mean.
lol same here!
It's hard to resist 😂😂

Just made this! OMG now going to make apple puff pastry *chips* to dunk them in! Thank you..love your recipes 😍
To my knowledge, caramel is made with granulated sugar. And butterscotch is made with brown sugar. So this was different
Right
it's caramel because of the cream. most toppings like fudge caramel and butterscotch all begin with sugar, so there's probably another ingredient added to the sugar to make butterscotch
confused as to why it makes a difference... splitting hairs online is like arguing with a tree
It is different. Its HER version made with 2 sugars.
I accidenently used coffee extract in mine, as the bottle is identical to the vanilla..I picked up the wrong one. Still, it's very nice. :) x
Looks Amzingggg !! Yum Yum Yum.
hello, do you know the "caramel au beurre salé" that we have in france ? (translated: salted butter caramel)
we use it for pancakes and cookies !
Looks delicious!
Breyers came out with a salted carmel ice cream and I was sooo excited to try but it actually tastes like butterscotch. Turns out brown sugar is what make butterscotch and white sugar makes caramel. This recipe looks good but now I'm afraid that its going to taste more like butterscotch.

I came as quickly as I can! I love salted caramel
does using milk instead of cream work I assume it won't be as rich, but will it have the same consistency?
omg this would go soo well on apple pie with a scoop of panna icecream❤
Awesome sauce laura I love it and you look radiant! You're gleaming mama 👏🏼💕
hi Laura, may I ask why you use both brown and white sugar to make caramel sauce?
you should try making your take on sucre a la crème(cream sugar fudge)
Ahh thanks Laura! This sounds awesome 😊
Hey Laura. I just wanna say that I added my butter exactly the same time you did, i.e along with the sugar and water, but it split. What went wrong?
Is it safe to keep reheating in the same jar or would it be better to take some out of the jar and reheat in a separate bowl?
Hi Laura! Been watching your videos for a couple years now! Please share with us how to make salted caramel ice cream someday! Thank you =)
This is probably a silly question, but can you use normal kitchen salt instead of sea salt?
Yes you can
You can but it will be a slightly different taste
Hi laura, Can I use all caster/granulated sugar with this method?
This is so much different than your last caramel sauce recipe (you said not to stir and such) :o
Thank you for this recipe ❤️
Looks great - my next fun project for Thanksgiving tomorrow.... Canada
love your recipes Laura....will surely try this one
The color depends on how much you caramelise the sugar
Just made it, love it!
Just found you and I'm currently watching all of your videos.. I'll be here for awhile..
Does anyone know how long this caramel will keep in the fridge? a couple of weeks maybe because I'm guessing because of the sugar?

yes.
how long is the shelf life for the caramel sauce if not stored in the fridge?
yum! I make this too and it is so good=)
one question, if we were to add water everytime we reheat it, wont it become less sweet or bland???
no, it won't 😊 you just need to add a little amount maybe one teaspoon just so the caramel sauce doesn't get burn easily..at the end the water will evaporate too..so it won't affect the sweet taste too much..hope it help!
Can i leave the sauce out of the fridge for a little bit?
Must we use ‘heavy cream’ vs half & half?
