To hear and see your emotions when you get to experience the beauty, that was moving. I could feel it with you. I could see the “ahh, yes, this is why i did this”.
Amazing scenery. The North Channel/Georgian Bay are renowned for good reason -- it is beautiful there. Thank you for taking us along. I also very much enjoyed your "life onboard" segment where you show how you use the cooking facilities and how you make good coffee. Very informative and interesting. I'll have to find some of that condensed milk if I take my 35-footer on a cruise this summer. Great video, I understand how time-consuming it is but all subscribers enjoy the videos tremendously.
I am enjoying watching your videos so much. I hate that it is so much work but man do you have the most beautiful office to work from. I hope i can do something like this someday day. Safe travels and thanks again!
Great video! 👍 Now we know where to get fresh blueberries 😊Editing is alot more than people realize. That's exactly why ours are 3 to 4 months back. Otherwise we would not be able to enjoy where we are at tye moment ok👍It's ultimately a very personal journey so enjoy!🛥
Love your channel. I am a future looper myself. I am rooting hard for you to have a great trip and enjoy your realistic view of the trials and triumphs that a solo looper encounters. I may also be a solo looper someday…..The loop is not my wife’s idea of fun.
In hindsight obviously. When you were anchoring in rocky places like you were. I would’ve been way too paranoid about getting that anchor stuck permanently. I would’ve been attaching the ol retrieval line in places like that every time. Just takes the right crack to catch it permanently… and if you’re not in 50’ I think that’s worth bringing out a bucket of extra line and tying to the retrieval point.
Awesome cooking there, buddy. Love the fresh blueberries. Michael, as a five year "one man band" on my own cooking channel, I understand how much time is involved in editing. I had two cameras and a zoom H1N (for audio) so I had three lines of stuff to deal with. You have such a wonderful, positive outlook on everything, don't let the editing get you down. I really enjoy your videos. When I first started, some people said you need shorter videos so I edited every little excess movement out until it almost looked like I was having a seizure. Don't go that far. But by the end, I was doing videos nearly 30 minutes long and didn't care, and people liked them. You just have to use your time efficiently. . .perhaps have a tablet or paper and take quick notes on important things for each camera that day, so when the time comes to edit you can skip over all the things unrelated to your notes. Remember too, that you may not need video from all four cameras each time. If there's nothing important behind you, leave that one out of the video. I hope I'm helping. I really enjoy your videos. Jim
Love the bits of life on the boat and of course the scenery. Looks like you're almost to Michigan. I'll be sure to wave as you come down the Lake Michigan shoreline, even though I'm an hour inland. =)
Great video. We are not too far behind you. I’m a month out with my videos. We are in the Georgian Bay and my one of three Erie Canal video will post Monday. While in Midland I loaded up the queue for the next two weeks. I wasn’t sure when we will have reliable WiFi again. We lost our cellular antenna during the end of June’s storm in Kingston Confederation Marina. Boy, what a storm.
Def look forward to your weekly videos... Quest: are you able to make any revenue from this you tube channel? just curious becuase i would like to do the same thing in a couple years. Thanks and keep 'em coming!
It’s a 2006 Meridian 391. Twin Cummins diesels. I’m squeezing out about 3.2mpg running at trolling speeds which is pretty amazing for a boat this size.
DJI Air-3. I takeoff from the bow and hand capture it. Not a very safe way to do it, but I’ve been flying drones and RC planes all my life and am very skilled in doing stupid stuff, ha.
These islands have a population of rattlesnakes. They like to lay underneath blueberry bushes to catch chipmunks and birds that come to eat the berries. I always carry a stick with me to shake in the bushes to scare away any snakes 🐍 laying in wait.
I’ll add a piece of advice for the editing. Off load all video at the end of the night while making dinner. Then after dinner spend a half hour to an hour editing it while that video and day are still in the memory bank. To be honest though, you’re not doing a lot so I get how it’s difficult. I like watching the videos but if it’s making the trip suck then I would advise you to stop and enjoy the reason you’re out there.
The issue I run into is after a full day of running, cooking, and boat chores I simply don’t want to even look at the computer. I just want to rest and take in the awesome beauty. It’s a difficult balance.
How epic, "wild Blueberries" so awesome.

Great video, I like how you explain how boat life is on the loop.
Best episode yet. Love to see you cooking!

Thanks guys. Been tracking you on Nebo. Have fun on the Big Chute.
I like the way you changed your videos. Stay safe.
Thanks, will do!
Great video. 1:57 beautiful boat!
Thank you very much!

Great video, keep it up, you do a great job with your videos, so interesting. Many thanks. Stay safe
Thanks for watching.
THAT'S why you spend SO much on a boat! Worth EVERY penny.
Yep.
Well, you did it again Mike, good video. I am enjoying your adventure with you. Keep writing your plans in the wet sand and you won't be disappointed.
Definitely very wet sand. Thanks for watching.

Thank you so much!
AWESOME video keep up the great work
Thanks! Will do!

Great job. Thanks again for sharing your experience.
My pleasure!
Great meeting you in Parry sound big sound marina! Thanks for the hand in the rain. Hope you enjoyed your pan fried pickrel!
I did! It was awesome. Great meeting you as well.

I’ll wave back. 😊
Thanks a lot, now I’m hungry.
Sorry… not. 😊
Great Video. Have you thought about a boat tour video? I would love to see the whole setup and how you work it. Thanks.
I plan on doing just that. Right now it’s a total bachelor’s mess. Maybe when I get down to Florida.

Don’t forget to go into Killarney and tobermory you’ll regret not going!
Killarney was very nice!
You are correct about editing a video. I didn't realize how long it would take until I started my RUclips channel. What editing program do you use?
Def look forward to your weekly videos... Quest: are you able to make any revenue from this you tube channel? just curious becuase i would like to do the same thing in a couple years. Thanks and keep 'em coming!
Not yet. To monetize you need to have over 1000 subscribers for a year.
Now i want pancakes
Ha! They were delicious!
Hi can you explain America's Great Loop in more detail?
This might help.

I love your videos and appreciate your sharing but don't let them interfere with your enjoyment of the loop.
I’m trying to get a better handle on it. Thanks.
Great video!! Maybe I’ve missed it, but what make and size boat are you in? What’s your fuel mileage like?
Stay safe!

@@MV_Checkmate I thought it was a Meridian but didn’t want to guess. My wife and I are looking at Meridians as well.
What type of drone are you flying and any tips for landing on the boat?
DJI Air-3. I takeoff from the bow and hand capture it. Not a very safe way to do it, but I’ve been flying drones and RC planes all my life and am very skilled in doing stupid stuff, ha.
@@MV_Checkmate Thanks
@@MV_Checkmate AND captaining a large yacht.....SINGLE HANDED! Safe travels!

Dang! Glad none were spotted.
What kind of bacon is that?
Hormel Black Label fully cooked bacon. Quite tasty.
Watch out for snakes and stuff up there. Plenty of rattlesnakes.

You skipped so much stuff between parry sound and where your at. You should have went up past snug harbour up the Shawanaga through pointe au barril
I did. I hit a different spot every night. Probably a dozen different anchorages. Only videoed when I had the energy.
Video editing sucks. I do 13 small videos a week. Bleh.
Wow, 13. You definitely get it.
