Oh my lord. This tutorial is so. so perfect in so many ways, I have never seen someone explain something so perfectly and so clearly! What you have made is perfect thank you, you really helped me :)
+Namika San I'm not sure yet! :) I got a bunch of suggestions and I'll pick whatever is the most necessary in my opinion for mapping and best suited for a video I guess!
I need help: So I wanted to make a custom Construct map for Garry's Mod. So I got a decompiler, BSD Source, and decompiled the map. However, when I run the map it is off. The reflections of light on the ground are untextured, the windows are glowing purple, the skybox doesn't even show up, and the water just doesn't show up. The water is just a leak until I jump in, then it shows up. I need your help! Here's the map: www.dropbox.com/s/msp0o6vspvzvxwn/construct%20space.zip?dl=1
Question, If i were to pack my map for beta testing would I be able to go back and edit that? Or would I have to keep the original backup if i want to keep editing it?
Good question. When you compile a map in Hammer, I believe it will generate a new BSP file every time. So all the data that you 'bake into' the BSP file would get lost. I honestly haven't even tried this out yet though, I always work with a backup copy.
2023 and it's still working!
Thank you SO MUCH!
Very well done video with a great explanation
Thank you!

Unfortunately I have zero experience with anything except CS mapping so I don't know. I'd expect the process to be very similar tho!
