A small gripe of mine is how they use "dubtitles". When having the voices in Japanese, it can sometimes be distracting when the subtitles don't match what the characters are actually saying.

tip: crit path through the first arc as much as possible as the AI is almost sedentary and the repeat tutorials they do nothing, the 2nd arc at least they properly fight and u can have some more fun. lots of fun moments though Yumcha is mvp. they just needed to let hard be an option eg normal is for prople who have never played a fighting game hard for anyone with experience or who has play the beta

This was a great review, and I'm glad you talked about the flaws in both single-player and online while highlighting how fun it is to play as your favorite DBZ characters. However, I'm not sure about the decision to devote a full minute of video to a cutscene from the game after you presented the score. Just didn't feel necessary to have it there.
I was on the open beta, but the seemingly crowded open hub queue was just totally barren. Even if I was successfully match-made, the game booted me outta the match eventually. Just spent most of the time in the practice mode till the beta ended. Supposed there was an extension date, but the damage was done for me. Don't get me wrong, Its a great looking DBZ fighting game. I'm a fan of ASW and frequent on Dustloop, but not giving versus mode and havin poor connectivity issues during beta takes me out. Around that time Dissidia was also having an open beta, and it fares better than DBZ did, imo. Before then i wasn't that high on team based 3v3 Dissidia over its predecessor on PSP, but now I'm more open on Dissidia NT than DBFighterZ.
Around 8 hours? The story, for me, took me closer to 12 due to me feeling compelled to fight most/all of the clones along the way with only the xp boost bonus things. Half way through the third arc I stopped caring and just went straight for the end, but it still felt like a massive slog. It really seemed like most of the arcs were almost twice as long as would have been necessary.
1 person clicked on the video and disliked it without watching it. Geez. Some people...luckily I'm a person that clicks on an EZA videos and likes it before watching it so I guess there is some balance in the universe.
decent review its a shame that the tutorial is pretty bad to teach new players not to mention there are a ton of hidden moves thats not even shown in the movelist or in the tutorial (like instant air dash, cancels or how 2h is invincible to all airborne moves including air dash)
I enjoyed the story, it just took way to long to get through all of it. Especially if you try to defeat every enemy on the map just to make sure you are leveled for the last fight, it gets dull real fast.
I feel this game is a mess it looks fucking beautiful and gameplay is good but i do not feel its worth $60 $40 maybe including DLC that is if you dont have the pass which you also need to buy unless preordered thats expensive mind you xenoverse has that problem aswell but there is a whole load of characters like the base forms of goku trunks black and vegeta and obvious characters like broly and bardock shouldnt be DLC they are staples of current dragon ball games and the roster we currently have is well kinda lackluster imo and it lacks single player content well enjoyable single player content well for me anyway like the story is ok at best but the clone fights at every turn just made me lose so much intrest but one positive i can say is local multiplayer is a blast to play i really enjoy local multiplayer for this game mind you i think that for a lot of fighting games like marvel vs capcom or mortal kombat or super smash bros to name a few but point is i really can see why it does get praise and hey if you like the game good for you i hope you continue to enjoy it but for me ill stick with xenoverse for my dragonball fix
Almost 2 weeks since launch and still I cannot join an online game due to auto disconnects. I am extremely disappointed that I bought this game because of the hype + that I am a Dragon ball anime fan.
Yes every other game online works so it's not on my end. There's also a thread on Steam discussions with dozens of posts with the same issue. Seems to be an server port problem like it was with Destiny 2 in their last Open Beta (that I couldn't connect with or people with PPPOE connections) and they had to fix that issue before release (which they did). Still waiting for Bandai to do so.
The "perks" of living in an Eastern European country heh. The matter is not widespread or might I say inexistant in US on the console versions as well as the PC so I'm not going to hold my breath that they will fix this anytime soon.
My review: 1- It’s the best DBZ Game in terms of fighting mechanics. 2- It’s not the best DBZ gaming experience. I think people who’ve played Budokai 3 and Tenkaichi 3 understand what I want to say.

Too bad it get boring very quickly once you have reached the low skill cap of the game, all the battles are pretty much alike, you do the same thing over and over and over again.
The voice actors themselves are great, but they don't fit the characters at all. Apparently Saiyans don't go through puberty despite all their multitude of screaming lul. Most people have gotten super used to them tho. The English voice actors, honestly, fit the characters much better in terms of appearance and personality
One of the best arc system works don't make me laugh didn't anyone ever tell you how they treated the English dub cast of BlazBlue or there DLC practices for BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle.

Take it from me he could be telling lies I mean this is the same guy who could the English dub cast for Blazblue bad fanfiction and then tried to cover up the fact. We need people who have compassion and honesty in the game industry not backstabbers and liars.
Neither of those things change a game from being a good or bad game. What happened to the English dub cast doesn't make the game play any worse or better as a fighting game, same goes for DLC.
That still doesn't make the gameplay any worse. That's just bad DLC practices. The DLC doesn't suddenly turn a bad fighting game into a good fighting game or vice versa.
Why am I watching this if i already bought the game?

Let's be honest, no Team Four Star voice pack is the biggest shortcoming of this game.

The only real complaints are the extremely padded story and the online matchmaking issues. Other than that, great game.
Honestly sad Hercule isn't in bade roster, praying he's DLC though. Just think of how perfectly he fits in this game!!

Sorry to say, but I've hardly had any issues connecting. Are you sure your connection is good for online matches? Like NAT type and what not?

BallotBoxer the Japanese cast sounds better that the English dub to me now. Ppl just hate it cuz they aren’t used to gokus voice it grew on me.
Masako Nozawa is great and all, but to me it sounds wrong to have Goku voiced by anyone but MasakoX.
