Saurabh is a great sales man but he doesnt often walk the talk. He came on stage, displayed the Relaxo chappal and spoke dramatically about it but exited in a few quarters. He probably entered at 100 PE mark and its still a super expensive stock.. There are many such examples.. They recently exited Amrutanjan, Vmart.. Heard they exited Galaxy Surfactants and Metropolis too
He is 90% salesman and 9% book author and 1% fund manager. I am not demeaning or trying to malign his funds. But this is clearly visible in numbers everywhere. Recently he exited Rhi Magesita upon puchase of rhi few months back, i called ashwin his fund manager and asked him about it looks like overpriced purchase he said no its part of big infra story blah blah next week Rhi Tanks 200 points and now they exited. I asked them why now and what is cost ? Answer was internal politics within the stock picking team caused this harm i am desperatley trying to move out, hopefully soon

I generally start looking at a company when they sell. It will do way better. Point and case ITC
