    For all the flak that Saurabh gets, he should be credited for bringing or making equities reachable to a large Indian population through his story telling abilities.
    1. He has picked up the right examples that suit the Indian mindset of risk aversion. He constantly mentioned in the past that the portfolio is like Rahul Dravid who doesn't take unwarranted risk and in the long term makes the runs even though slowly.
    2. He has given a lot of people confidence that equities is a safer instrument in the longer term and one can invest in large brands which will not die in the longer term and one will make money and not lose it
    3. He has worked really hard in the past 3-4 years to increase his social media presence (he has been on every youtube finance channel there is )and has written books that have great stories. He is a great story teller and knows the Indian audience pretty well
    4. People have to remember that Saurabh is not running a charity operation, he makes most of his money from management fees from his PMS, so the longer term investing narrative suits him (the firm makes money no matter how the portfolio does and if the portfolio does good he makes money on that too(performance fee)).
    I think history will remember him for making equities a formidable option for the risk averse Indian population (him and Rajeev Thakkar from PPFAS).

      No business is good or bad for investing, it all boils down to valuation. Saurabh Mukhejea type people make generalised statement that only buy quality stocks and don't go for cheap, is the wrong strategy. Yeah, Bajaj Finance , Pidlite stocks should deserve higher pe ratios, but one should enter when it has reasonable valuation like 30 PE.
      For non growing business you can enter at 7-8 PE.
      Remember, 7-8 PE stocks even without any growth in sales will increase the book value of stock by 12-14% every year. You can expect similar return from the stock.
      He fails to understand that everything is cyclic in stock market, sectors are cyclic, even strategies are cyclic before 2020 Saurabh mukherjea growth strategy quality stocks used to grow now value investing is working. Even though one can never predict the cycle, but it's always safer to exit and enter into those sectors/stocks that haven't given run up and their valuation became reasonable.
      Now, when stocks like irfc, ireda, uco bank etc. are trading at premium valuation then so called quality and growth companies, it's high chances that now its time for Saurabh Mukherjea stocks. It's worst time to get into fomo and enter into low quality stocks as they are not cheaper anymore.

    I'd like to appreciate Sourabh on his point on transparency. Even though Marcellus gets hate because their portfolio hasn't done well in the recent past;
    I (and I suspect many) really only started investing in stocks because of the transparent manner in which Marcellus used to talk about their stocks. I only started understanding ratios and charts because they used to refer to it in relation to what they held and why. Until then, I was mostly susceptible to finfluencer rhetoric. Why does he always exaggerate things so much?? All his Marcellus Schemes haven't been able to beat benchmarks in any time frames for last 5-6 years.
    He exaggerates things to the extent that people asking for Dhoni's retirement for not 4-5 years but 10 years, come on man 😂
    A Pure Story-Teller, used to promise 10X in 10 Years kind of things & ended up underperforming Indexes. Bring better guests man..

      Could you point me to where he made the 10x in 10 years promise? was he promising investors that he would give 10x returns in 10 years?
      Also who do you consider a better guest?

      Bring in fund managers who have some Performance to show and who normally under-promise & over-deliver; like Sunil Singhania, Samir Arora, Amit Jeswani, Vikas Khemani, Samit Vartak..
