Not only have I not heard the song before, but I was told that this was a high energy live performance. So double the value here, right? Only one way to find out...

Noooo it's missing the intro!!! This song is so much better with the choir intro. They structured it weirdly in the album though. If you have the full album, the song right before not gonna die (good to be alive) has the last minute taken for the intro of not gonna die, so if you listen straight through you have a smooth transition of music from the end of good to be alive into what you heard as the start of not gonna die. It's so underrated and is left out of everything! Idk if you're willing to, but revisit song with intro?
I think the lead singer said before he went out to the stage, his head and knees were pretty hurt while on tour
Usually, John goes crazy, but I wonder if he wasn’t feeling good that day.
you need to check out some of their other lives performances. just as good of not better than this. and see how energetic John can get!

If you want to hear Korey doing vocals, try Last night or something from album Alien youth. For example: Will you be there, where she sounds amazing.

Just a side note, these guys were on a rushed schedule for this festival and I heard they cut some songs to make time for other bands.
And normally during festivals skillet told thier fans that, they don’t have access to the special equipment they would like. Which is a bummer as some other bands do.
But yeah to get the full thrived skillet experience, a live performance from thier own tour is what your looking for.

Think the lead singer should do their albums without auto tune, his voice sounded more genuine without it, you can feel the lyrics, if that makes sense I enjoyed this more than the music videos. The drummer is pretty awesome.

I'm glad you reacted to this version of the song. Jon Cooper is almost always High High Energy. I'm pretty sure there was more going on than you could see throughout. The guitar players are Jon's wife Korrey Cooper and Seth is a great guitarist. I'm with you on Jan Ledger! She is Amazing and talented and beautiful!! You did say you wanted to see actual live performance. This was and there is more where that came from. Enjoyed the reaction!!
