i like regular pleasure riding videos..no need for speed or jumps which usually end up in crashes...also like the peaceful music instead of the heavy metal they all play
I live in Buena Vista and the state has reopened the pass to Taylor this fall after paving it, I did this trail a couple of years back and as I remember it is a one way and is one of the easier trails in the area. You can access Aspen over Taylor pass or Crested Butte to the south west or several other awesome trails! Try to stay on single track if you can because of all the atv's.
I've ridden most of the trails at Taylor Park but have not heard of this one. Where is it from the taiding post. Star Trail and Timberline Trail are great, but challenging.
If you follow bear creek trail to the end where it Ts turn right at the T and the switchbacks start about 2 miles from that. I call this the switchbacks but there's another given name for the trail, I don't know what it is though.
Wow, it's become obvious that I need to get up to Taylor Park and ride these amazing trails!! Great videos, looks like great riding. Are there any preferred maps of the trails up there?
Is the trail actually called "The Switchbacks"? I gotta get my Lat40 map out and look at it.. All I remember about Taylor park is Rocks and rocks and rocks.. this looks waaaay nicer!
Do you have the coordinates for this trail? I just moved to Denver in June and really have ridden Rampart Range so far. Trail 770 was a blast, but I haven't really found too much more single track. A lot of jeep trails and ATV trails mostly. Been going out to Utah lately to find some single track outside of SLC and Moab.
all the trails around south fork, pagosa springs, durango, wolfcreek co. are like this packed mud with ocassinal trees, stream crossings make a weekend out it camp, fish, party, soak in hot springs it rocks. .... best place on earth but you have to be in shape altitude will kick your ass. make sure your bike is good mechanical order, long walk out if not..... ran into these dudes from florida one time on road trip they were all sitting around sucking wind worn out. brand new bikes and couldnt ride worth a dam.
+Jessica Edwards Arch put they were only 5 minutes from the pickup we did 6 mile loop came back and they were still in same spot sea level to 8000 ft big diffrerence.
RideFreak Thanks a lot. Good to know. We are heading out to Moab and thought we would try a little riding in Taylor Park since it looked so cool. But will likely need to leave it to another time.
you have to careful of bears also bro that place is full of them saw 3 last time i rode along a trail. 200 lbs no joke. check with forest service or check google earth stay of north slopes.
@RIDEFREAKTV aw dang :( yeah its been tough finding people to ride with lately. well if you ever get time send me a message in my instagram instagram.com/ridewithwill/ might be going this thurs/fri and next week thurs fri!
thats why i carry chainsaw especially in spring time, couple of beers and hot dogs make a day of it meet people riding. trail maintenece is important. improves relations with mountain bikers and horseback riders also when they see you improving something.
SHARKIES GIRL feel same way. At Taylor Park we came across 3 dual sporters from Texas in a nasty section (1 lady). We helped them fix bike and turned them around, it was getting dark and they never would have made it. On way out went thru forest fire. Questioned by rangers and back at cabins they sent out a water truck and fire was out soon! Just another day in the Rockies, lol.
Another good video! I must say though, that's the poorest quality of any of your videos. It was kind of looking through water.(sorry I don't mean to be harsh) You found a lot smoother trails that I did on my trip to CO. this summer.
That was taken 10 years ago with a hero 3 Mike, that's about as good as it gets back then 😄 What you discovered and why I stopped riding there is that place is tore up and has gotten worse each year. We did hit some trails that weren't quite so smooth. ruclips.net/video/RqBVL1ohodk/видео.htmlsi=LxujABcWEGKJbik2
Colorado is truly a beautiful state, and will forever hold that impact on my life.
Great footage. THANKS.
No music is best. Just the sounds of the bikes
Awesome ride. I love the way this trail went in and out of the trees.
i like regular pleasure riding videos..no need for speed or jumps which usually end up in crashes...also like the peaceful music instead of the heavy metal they all play
HA, Hope you enjoyed it.
Yeah me too
I'd prefer no music, love listening to the machines!
Awesome landscapes and paths. But best music is to hear the engines. Don't destroy the video. 😉✊💨💨💨 Happy ridings
No worries, your videos give me a reason to do some research! Looks like epic riding, I love it!
These are some awesome trails great vid!
That's one beautiful trail. thanks for sharing.
DM trail is one of the best great vid! Funny that last 100 ft to lot took me by surprise. :)
Thanks, it is a great trail.

Love me some Deadman's Gulch! Very nice.
Its a nice trail, I crashed pretty hard on it, still had a good ride through there.

You ever come to the west slope? I live right next to the mesa up in Collbran. Some fun trails up here.
Thanks for he offer Ethan, I haven't gotten up that way yet, I want to though.

Actually I'm not sure what the trail is called :)
RideFreak Where is the start or finish? I'm heading out next weekend and this trail looks SUPER fun.... I wanna put it on the list!
That might be the timberline trail- went to taylor park last weekend and recorded it, video on my channel of it should be up soon!!
Patrick Benfield It's not Timberline... :O
Right, it's definitely not Timberline.
Great ride!
Thanks Dean
Loved it!
Thanks Arthur, It's a fun trail. There's another version taken more recently in my videos that shows the trail very well.
RIDEFREAK TV thsnks Ill watch!

No coordinates but it's Taylor Park near Buena Vista. Get a Nat Geo map and all the area trails are shown on it.
Right on! I found where the trails are and plan on checking em out within the next week! Thanks!
I'm new to dirt/pitbikes riding, what are a few names of areas I can take my bike to?? closer ones towards aurora if possible
PEK, I'm from NM so I wouldn't be much help with the front range riding areas. This trail in in Taylor Park just west of Buena Vista CO
rampart range
Nice trail! Where in CO is this?
Jessica Edwards Arch Thanks, this is located at the end of bear creek trail in Taylor Park area near Buena Vista CO.

Every ride can kick your ass if you ride hard enough.

Has anyone been up there in April? I'm thinking snow would make this place impassable.
It's usually sometime in July when that area becomes ridable.

@@RidefreakTV thanks for the reply, good to know about the GoPro 3 and the timed demise of the trail.
reminds me of my youth and riding in the mountains.
I'm reliving it
riding makes you young again ;) i just picked it up at an older age and love it! keeps me in shape
Same here, I started off in the Blue RIdge Mtns
Groovy
Nice little place to ride
name of the song ??
New Slang - The Shins and Intro - The xx
Song title anyone?
I dont think this is Taylor Park. I dont know any place there where there is sand like this at the end of a water crossing. Taylor is mostly all rock.
If you follow Bear Creek trail to the T at the end and turn right you'll hit this trail. It's definitely Taylor park, we ride it every year:)
@@RidefreakTV Deadman Gulch (Trail 420) is definitely in Taylor Park/Cement Creek area. It's a LOT of fun. (As is Bear Creek Trail).
I put on 1080p and the sky looked unreal
Greg, I rode with guys who knew the place so I wouldn't be much help, sorry!
Lol I made a skiing video with this same song
My luck, a tree would fall on me. Music should be heavy metal
