      No! There’s always online lessons. It doesn’t even have to be paid lessons! There’s lots of helpful RUclips channels that teach korean and there’s also apps that reinforce vocabulary, reading and writing. Channels I recommend are “Korean Unnie” and “Learn Korean with Korean101.com”, as well as “OSSU” for casual conversations (as they include English translations under the Korean subs). Kdramas and Movies are always a good source to get used to the casual speech as well! As for apps I use: Duolingo, Korean+, and Eggbun (really cute app! And includes lessons about culture and slangs you’d use in real life). A nice tip too would be to keep a journal to record anything you can in Korean to reinforce your writing and keeping it memorized in the long run as well as speaking the language when you can! It can be to your pets, tv, or even yourself if you don’t have anyone who can practice with you. (Talk To Me in Korean is actually a good app for this. ) I hope some of this helps and good luck with whatever direction you take! I myself am learning Korean and I can tell you it’s a really fun and beautiful language to learn.

    As a Spanish person (where churros are from) I think Korean people have upgraded them with this. Damn, a salty churro, such a creation.

    • @ninjaydes
      @ninjaydes 4 года назад +2

      *sigh* I'm sorry for bursting your bubble, but friend dough sticks were invented in Japan around 700 BC. China soon after invented the youtiao, a salty fried dough stick that is thought by historians to be the inspiration for the churro. Fried dough originated in Asia and has been a staple snack food since forever. Now, it's universally-appreciated... and maybe churros can be called tastier because adding cinnamon and sugar was on its own a stroke of genius.

    • @junsuidearu
      @junsuidearu 4 года назад +3

      @@ninjaydes Your comment sounded a little bit condescending but lemme add my piece of mind. First, I didn't even criticise this person, I praised them for their creation. Second, fried dough exists in many countries in different forms such as you listed, that does not mean that China had them before Spain or that it transmitted this knowledge to Spain. In Spain's case these originated in the northern part of Africa and were probably introduced in Spain during the time the Moors invaded the Iberian peninsula (around 700 a.C). The word "churro", which in spanish means weird shape or knot, was first used in Spain to describe this food as soon as the 18th century which means this treat in Spain would be around 300 years old. I commented on this dessert being from Spain because they called it "CHURRO", not any other name you mentioned. Also, not to burst your bubble but churros in Spain are not the kind you are used to see (sticks covered in the cinnamon sugar), in spain they are shaped short of like a drop of water and we do not eat them with sugar, we dunk them on hot chocolate and we drink it with them. Another type of "churros" called "porras" are way bigger and shaped like a long baton, we also have these for chocolate. We also have them for breakfast, not as a snack or a dessert. Churro makers start making them as soon as 5am since the boiling oil is too hot to prepare them during the day in Spain. As a fun fact, "churros" in Spain are a famous form of "after party" snack, youngsters go to churro shops after the night clubs close to have churros for breakfast before sleeping.

    • @ninjaydes
      @ninjaydes 4 года назад

      @@junsuidearu Yeah. I should have phrased it more politely. When it comes to inventions, food or otherwise, people want to credit their country with being the first or the inspirer. It's nationalism. Where I live, most of my friends and acquaintances think churros coated with sugar and cinnamon are the first and _only_ tasty fried dough product, which is the source of my headache and irritation. The diversity of food is beautiful, and what matters more now is that fried dough is enjoyed _universally_ with interesting twists like the one seen in the video.

    • @junsuidearu
      @junsuidearu 4 года назад +1

      @@ninjaydes Well, that was basically my point from the beginning, that this version of the churro is a brilliant idea. Also, I don't think being proud of the food from your country is nationalism (I have many problems with my country but, simply, food is not one of them). As a Spaniard living abroad tasting food from my country makes me feel closer to home, that's it. As to what most people think about churros, is that they are a treat sold at Disneyland or that it is just from Mexico when it is made with variations across Latin America and Spain, so I also feel the need to tell people about them. Of course I don't think Spanish people suffer from some type of discrimination or racism (we are white europeans with a history of colonisation at the end of the day), but I do think Spanish cuisine is butchered non stop. A british dude once basically asked me if tacos were from Spain...tacos...So I get what you're saying.

    • @ninjaydes
      @ninjaydes 4 года назад

      @@junsuidearu Wait?! Tacos aren't the pride of Spanish cuisine?
      Sorry, just kidding. If I didn't have the honor of eating arrow con pollo and steamed fish at a cultural convention some ten years ago though, then I would probably think crispy cheddar cheese tacos and margaritas are staple meals. The school meal program in central Houston favors Tex-Mex over basically everything else. I'll leave it to you to tell the world how badly Spain's food is represented, since my understanding on that front is very cloudy. ... but are you sure it's not nationalism to some extent? Chinese food is praised and slandered for all the wrong reasons, since Chinese takeout... is so salty, oily, contains MSG, may have other preservatives, and just isn't what a Chinese American would want their fellow citizen to eat. There's nothing wrong with others liking tacos or PF Chang's... but at the same time, one may get that urge to broadcast "my country's food is tastier that you think!" Sharing food and food knowledge across borders is such a good way to build harmony between people of different backgrounds, and yet... yeah, I have nothing else to say. Thanks! Fun conversation.

    츄러스만 튀기면 기름을 오래 쓸텐데..
