My LG Velvet died... so I had to get a phone ASAP... so only got a $40 discount. But after the LG Velvet... I swore I would NEVER get another curved screen phone again! Before that I had Pixel phones with rounded corners... I was looking for a flat screen and straight edges, and this phone fits that bill. I bought the phone for the body style... I actually never plan to use the stylus. If Motorola would make a version of this phone (ex. Moto G Ultra) with the hardware of Edge and Edge plus... I actually believe it would boost sales in the premium market for them.
Still haven't seen a sale on Motorola website, waiting for it to be available at other retailers on sale. May have to wait for black Friday in November.
11/14/24 on sale this week @ Motorola website 8 RAM, 256g memory $249 unlocked. Pair it with Visible Wireless save24 promo for $20/month, unlimited data, talk, & txt on Verizon network towers up to 2 years, prepaid monthly plan. You're welcome!
I dont need a phone, but I have fallen in love with Motorola's UI. Its just the right mixture of fun and usability, with great features you'll ACTUALLY use. Just bought a Stylus on Offerup for 105, Unlocked. Deal of the year?
They really knocked it out the park with this one I think a Pro model should not be off the table Throw a better chip and cameras with a real aod with the black vegan leather and white stitching
I strongly considered this phone. I'm a long time Moto user since 2018. I've had 3 different Moto G's but I really hate that after 1 O/S and a couple years of security patches that Motorola cuts you lose. They're basically saying it's time to buy a new one! I hate that mentality so I went with a Galaxy A35 5G that with some discount offers from Samsung and cash back offer was $250 and after they gave me 50 bucks trade-in for my old Moto G it was only $200. That's cheaper than the Moto G Stylus sale price of $250. Samsung gives 4 O/S and 5 yrs of updates plus it's IP67 waterproof. I don't do carrier deals because they're actually a rip off when you factor in the monthly service cost vs my Mint Mobile service that's super cheap.
My Pixel 6 just died and I bought this for 249 (I still think I can get it cheaper with a carrier deal, but I need a phone ASAP!!). But I really like this phone!! I just wasn't feeling paying 599+ for another pixel (or even $400). However, this phone is a beast!!! So far after 3 days, no regrets!!
Still liking my 2023 Edge. Great phone! Still on Android 13. It's an unlocked version. Had the 2023 Stylus & OnePlus Nord n30 5g. Sold both of those & got the Edge 2023 for $350 at my local Best Buy.
I don't know what people do on their phone but for the things I do and I use the battery is perfect. The phone has more features than I need. I love the phone.
Display size is same as Edge+ 2022 Unfortunately, I got mine unlocked for $400 (same price as One Ace in 2021) Speakers are much better It's rather snappy and a bit less stuttering than 2023 version
@@StevealiciousTech from the carriers I looked at like cricket and straight talk, ST only has 4 gigs and the Cricket has 6 gigs. That's awesome that Metro has 8. I'll just have to consider trying them out. But I won't get one anytime soon. My 2022 stylus is still good
First of all nearly every comment I read on there they said was very good. But more importantly, I believe this is last year's model that they reviewed, since it says it does not have wireless charging.
@@kayeoffers4339how is still holding up that's my Carrier as well for many years and are offering it for $40 upgrade from my 2023 version I want it for the ram and poled
It's garbage. the notification area is too big and bubbly, like for a 5 year old child. The backing with its fake leather is BRUTAL. It will wear down over time and then everyone will be crying about it. Either it'll fade, flake or tear over time. My friend after 3 days got a tiny tear on the corner of the camera moduel where it's raised and now it looks like a black slit on the champagne colour. Put a case on it and it turns into a brick. They should have left the back with a plastic, glass or metal. The Stylus is its selling point, it's an expensive fidget toy, that's all it is. Don't get me started on the inscreen fingerprint sensor, why not on the side or middle back area - like the Redmi 9. It's more natural to unlock from the side or the back with your fingers rather than the lower front middle area of your screen, it's just overly priced with a fidget toy.
There's a fix for the notification "style" in settings. I agree with you that the phone is much heavier with a case on. Even so, this device is an excellent option for some...including myself. You don't sound like the target audience this device is for, though. Respectfully. All of your major points are based on esthetics and not actual software. I have 4 devices (an iPhone 15 Pro Max, S22 Ultra, Pixel 6 and the Moto G Stylus 2024) and I absolutely love this phone, despite owning others that are more "capable" and were at a much higher price tag at their release and still a few of them after. My expectations were low considering I've owned earlier generations of Motorola's Stylus phones. However, this one surprised me! I've made this my daily and I couldn't be more satisfied knowing I didn't break the bank and I'm still getting a similar experience in terms of day to day usage compared to my other flagships. In fact, this device is quite capable of doing a majority of my tasks at the same capacity and sometimes better. The "fidget toy" stylus is also capable and will serve its purpose for many that want the experience but otherwise can't afford it with Samsung. Did you do your research before purchasing the phone? Was there a display model for you to know that the backing is vegan leather, or was it a complete blind purchase? Genuinely curious... When we spend our hard earned money, regardless of cost, we have a right to gripe or nitpick. At the same time, we have to be realistic in terms of cost and what features we might lose when we don't spend a little more to get more. With all the prepaid carrier deals, making this phone free, it's pretty enticing for many consumers considering its specs and a bonus stylus 😁 One year of software support is this devices only con. Still, Motorola is known for doing that. The disappointment is warranted but to be expected. Hopefully Motorola works on this with their future devices. By the way, I'm sorry your experience ended in disappointment. Consider Samsungs A35 if not having a stylus is important to you! It's very similar in price but also taking away the main issues you have with the Motorola 🙏🏾 God Bless
