Regarding the location of the Charles de Gaulle: why bother hiding its location if it is in port? It might be a tiny bit hard to disguise a 261m long aircraft carrier in the port of Marseille and half the crew is probably on shore leave.

Shandong was meant to be Kuznetzovs sister ship but was sold to the Chinese Navy, that's why they're so similar in design.

China and Russia can see the location of carriers anyway with satelite pictures. It doesn't matter if the public knows where they are.
