I’m 32 so this game came out in the peek of my teenage years and man I would stay up all night on the weekends playing this game… from the mechanics to the story mode this game was so epic.. I truly hope we get a remake of this for next gen!

I played it when it was new. This was a standard wack rental game. Fun for $6 for a few days, but awful for $50.
Matrix Online was fun, but was badly programmed. Lag would trap you in dungeon instances. Illest online service stoppage event, though. To this day, no online game has done storytelling better.
They had employees log in as important chars to do live events. Morpheus was assassinated while giving a live speech.
I remember this intro and being shocked that I was expected to beat it. Then I realized I didn’t have to but I kept retrying until I finally beat it it felt like a full game experience. And then there’s literally like 30 more hours of story. Amazing gem.

Both Matrix Games were awesome!! But this one ah man it really lived up to the hype of the movie. Usually games from a movie are trash but this game is legit one of the best PS2 games you’ll ever play

@@minners71 nah it was ahead of its time. Its not so bad. Compared to other bad titles I have played. I grew up playing a lot of Ps1 and ps2. Ps3 came out when I was 14 but I wasnt interested. High school was too fun to sit at home and play. I didn't get it till 2010 when I was 17. Seeing all the changes in games and stuff. I still own all my consoles including the ps4 that I got about 2 years ago. Idk honestly since I grew up on older gen I simply enjoy and have more fun with older titles because they weren't complex. I can sit down and get really high and have the best fun with die hard trilogy and twisted metal 2. Shit graphics but all we cared was about gameplay. If you put graphics first before graphics boy you going to have a tough time with enjoying games.

Saw this game at dollar general with my Dad for 8 bucks brand new back in 2008! 10 year old me was excited and wow this game was a steal! Recently replaying it on a jailbroken PS3 and it's still really fun! This game is a great example of how graphics doesn't always make a game!

Loved the intro of the game...it was like a test for how skilled you are and the game would suggest the level of difficult based on your performance...a good way to let you in on the game mechanics. Timeless classic👈

The action and fight combos were very impressive in this game. I can't think of any ps2 games that were more enjoyable when it came to hand to hand combat.

I remember playing it as a kid and I kept replaying the mission that's shown in the thumbnail. Loooaaadd of enemies/guns etc. Have a right field trip of Wall running, bullet dodging, kartwheeling, gun blasting madness. Top game this was 💯 #REMASTER
The combos are sick. Coupled with the faithful sound design. Pretty much perfection.

Love this game and Enter the Matrix too. Fond memories of playing this with my older brother all those years ago. We thought these were the coolest games ever! Wont lie, its a little hard to go back and play on ps2 but the nostalgia holds up even if the graphics don't 😊 I remember these graphics blowing me away back then lol
PS2 is still the best console. Tons of great games, free online game play, no dumbass patches every week, no need to be connected to the internet to enjoy a single player game, when you bought a game you got the whole complete game.
