Ive moved to the Paradyme from PXGs and im loving them. The feel and control that ive gained from the Callaways is noticable. I still have Sim 2 woods (D, 3, and 5) but ive got an AI Smoked diver on order. Ive got 5 rounds completed with the Paradymes' and i have made it back to low 90s . im so close to breaking into the 80s. the PXG 0311Ps were just hard for me to control. Also lost distance and had to change up.
This was so awesome to see! It's crazy how much of a difference having the correct clubs for your swing and swing speed makes! Also how much more fun it makes the game!
New Paradym set just shy of 2k, Steve's giant grin the whole time priceless. Great content!
Steve has an amazing follow through, finish and balance. The clubs are the perfect fit, the 15 looks like it will be moving down!

To be fair most club manufactures make something in their range that will suit most golfers. Fitting does make a difference as I picked up yardage I had lost with a different shaft and slightly stronger lofts. The mizuno swing analysis tool is a great bit of kit to start a fitting with.

It was interesting to see that Steve was gripping down quite a long way on the grips, it would be interesting to know whether that was a "feel" thing or that he is finding that the shafts are a little on the long side??
PS I still think that a series of lessons with Coach Lou would make for a great watch

Great looking modern range of clubs. Have to say though I do like the look of the x2 Hots as well. I have the old 9 wood in my holiday bag and it's one of the best looking clubs to look down on. Who takes the credit for the brilliant idea of 2° extra loft?
I played with a guy who was fresh off of his Paradym fitting last week, and I was playing with my 2020 Mavrik irons, driver, and Hybrids. I’ve never played with him before, and he went on and on about me buying clubs off the rack without a fitting😂
He shot in the 100’s and I shot a 78😂😂😂 He spent more time looking for his golf ball than hitting his new fitted clubs!
Work on your ball striking and stop shuffling clubs in and out of your bag every 3-5 years! Before I went to Mavrik, I played with 2010 Big Bertha irons, woods, and driver!
I currently play with Jack Nicklaus Golden Bear irons that my dad bought for me at a church silent auction, a gifted Taylor Made driver, and McGregor persimmon fairway woods that are at least 40 years old. Pretty much any iron set and woods I buy next will heavily outperform my current set up 😂
@@cakedupkevin No doubt about that, you’re talking about ancient equipment! I’ll bet if Scottie Scheffler played with your clubs, he’d still hit fairways and greens. All I’m saying is you don’t need to buy new clubs every 4-5 years, it’s stupid🤣🤣
Awesome to watch. I hit my 3 wood pretty well but struggle with the driver. I haven't hit with it in a while but saw someone shorten the driver shaft by 1 inch to get more consistent strikes. Have you heard of someone doing this?
I do fittings and yes you can shorten the shaft which will increase control and contact, thus hitting it more in the center and will not lose any distance. Do it.

I was 22 HCP (weak swing & visual disability) and down to 18-19 since going full Paradym & hit my best score of 81 on a long par 72 a few weeks ago - great clubs
Looks like he hit those clubs pretty good, and with the camera was on him. Nice video Andy.
Shows that custom fitting was worthwhile. I did notice that he grips down the club, especially on the first or second 5 wood shot but it takes nothing away from the result.
I'd love to see what his handicap does in say mths with these clubs. The swing looked silky smooth, not rushed or forced. This video shows what a fitting could do for you. I also wonder what the clubs' price and the fitting cost.
This video series really makes the case for getting properly fit. Most fitting videos on RUclips are done at the club manufacturers’ facilities. Thoughts on competence/value at getting fit by third parties? Worth a vid? Btw, if I haven’t given kudos for the production and videography by you and Hannah, please accept them now. Between your screen persona, the videography and content, the channel is shooting well below par!
His leading arm never gets above parallel to the ground restricting his turn, so he adds loads of wrist hinge to assist getting the head of the club further. Then needs lots of hip turn in the down swing to get the face square...
The best feeling in the world to have clubs that you feel confident with.

I am sure Steve is very happy that he got a custom fit, as it shows in his swing and striking the ball in the center of the club, if people would just learn that the money, they waste by buying off the rack, as they adopt their swing to the club and not vice versa. I can see money going into Steve's pocket once he sorts out his distance with the clubs.

Replacing some very old clubs to new should make a big difference. It is recommended to upgrade your irons every 5 years just because the technology and materials used are so different. Getting fitted over buying off the rack can help, too.

Looks like he chokes down over an inch on his clubs. That will change the swing weight, essentially making them "feel" lighter.
I noticed this, too.
Custom fitted 1" shorter and chokes down 2".Just curious as to why??
Might I ask why the gentleman chooses to choke down on the grip on every shot ? Would that choice affect a custom fitting ?
Andy,I never see a bad shot on your videos, do you edit out the bad ones as I play off 8 and hit several stinkers in every round

The grin of a man with shiny new toys. Looks to be swinging great is the choking down the grip just Steve’s natural game or is there a reason for it?
Are you talking 15 handicap or 15 index, there is a huge difference. As for going all anything, I'd strongly advise against it. Go get a full bag fitting including wedges, fairway woods, irons (EVERY iron not just the 7), and driver from a fully independent fitter that will recommend what's best for you and not just a brand.
Not always a huge didference. You can play a course with a rating that gives you the same handicap as your index. Handicaps can be similar, higher or lower. Course dependent.
@@pgowan357 generally, your handicap is 5 less than your index; that's a fair amount of difference. I've yet to ever see a course where they are the same, hard to make that math work.

Funny you say that. Ping has made some of the chunkiest clubs of all time. Lots of shovels in their line up.

Yeah I noticed that as well. I’ve not seen anyone choke that far down even when wanting to take a bit off. He’s losing some serious distance there. 👍🏻🇦🇺
@@granthodges9860 if it helps him find the middle of the face then distance lost will be minimal
