I don't have this code but I do have an air fuel situation and my scanner is saying that my radiator coolant temperature is it 32° and it's 96° outside and I've already replaced the sensor same result as the old one.... please advise

I have this code 2016 Chevy Malibu hybrid
engine code:
Thermostat heater control circuit low and thermostat heater control circuit open
Dealer said thermostat and the wires need replacement. thermostat is covered by powertrain warranty. but wires cost 500+.
My guess is code is caused by thermostat only, wires don't break easily. And I don't think they are likely break together.
I'm getting this code after replacing the whole housing.. you think the sensor itself is defective on the new part

P0599 is the Thermostat Heater Control Circuit if you have a chevy sonic 2014 LT 1.8 it will need to be replaced. The auto start will not run with this code on. It will start but then shut off. It will be a trouble code as well as it can not be erased.Until it's fixed.
So, how do you fix it??
@@jaimecardenas98 In order for it to be fixed from what i read. You have to take it to some one that has to update your ECU or your computer.Which most likely means a dealer ship.If this code continues and it most likely will..I have had mine on for over a year now and still runs fine.But your auto start will not run with a check engine code.It's all this safety crap they put in cars now a days. FYI for a New computer the cost would most likely be 500 dollars or an update would probably be around 150 dollars. You need change out your thermostat and the sensor that is connected to it from what i understand.
is there a way to fix it without replacing?
Try resetting the code maybe bleed any air in the coolant remove the thermostat and inspect it and place it back and run the car and try the heater, go for a cruise and hope it don't come back. Sometimes having not enough juice in the battery can cause codes to pop up

No that’s the water pump thermostat. Chevy Cruze has two thermostats.

The Sonic is a nightmare. Cheap parts most made of plastic that gets very brittle and cracks very easily. I’ve had to replace plastic lines that I’ve broken just by getting them out of the way to reach a bad part
