  • Foam poppers have 4 layers of durable foam, these top-water flies were designed to take a tough beating from Bass, Brim, Bluegill and Panfish.
    Materials
    1. Hook- #8 saltwater hook
    2. Tail- Chartreuse marabou
    3. Head- Yellow and light green 2mm foam
    4. Body - Cactus chenille

    Nicely done. I like the pattern...and a new technique to me on making the head. It did look like that bottom piece of the foam on the finished fly had not totally adhered to the the other piece (kept separating). I've been using some 3M spray adhesive on approx. 6"x6 " pieces of foam to join them. I have found that I have to pay close attention to getting thorough coverage with the spray...or get the same issue. It's good stuff if you're thorough.

      Store bought; but made a few adjustments....
