We are dedicated Viking ocean cruisers. Two under our belts in 2022, and another in September, plus a full Panama Canal transit over Christmas and New Year. We are spoiled though, as we need more space, what you get in a PV cabin. Larger closet across from the bathroom, included mini bottles or beer in the fridge, pressing of wrinkled clothes, and being able to reserve excursions and dining further ahead. We also like having a full loveseat plus chair. We enjoy that often before dinner, or the much larger coffee table for spreading out everything they bring for a room service meal.
I know to come to your videos when I go on my first cruise! Lol. The room was very nice and pretty big! I don’t think I ever been in a room that size before.
@@LuxuryTravelDocs I didn't take any pictures. I got the idea from Jim Zim on here. If you look up his video "This Cruise Line Is Different Than All The Others" and go to the 10:00 mark, you will see exactly what I did.
We had it in our muster station immediately after boarding. A crew member demonstrated the safety procedures and reviewed them with us. It doesn’t take very long but is very thorough! You may look at our Buenos Aires boarding video in our Viking playlist. We have footage in there. The process on board is the same every cruise with Viking Ocean no matter where. Have fun!
We have none. We are just cruisers who donate RUclips profits to charity. That is our motivation to provide great content and we mention that. But thank you for letting us know that we aren’t clear enough that we have no promotional benefit for this video!
Have been on Viking before in a PV and DV2 cabin,. Was looking at a DV3 (there are only a few of them] but they are slotted between the PV2s on Deck 5 , so wondering if something is different, like a slightly smaller room or maybe a fixed door instead of a sliding door to the balcony as they are a cheaper price but seem to be in a good position to me. Hoping you can shed some light? TIA🌸
The DV rooms are all pretty much the same as far as sq. ft, amenties and balconies. What changes mostly is the location. DV3 will be better than the stateroom we showed you in this video. We would confirm what is to the sides of you and what is above and below you on the ship. Some of the DV3's on Ocean ships in the front of the ship have obstructed views. This may be something you want to press Viking on to make sure it isn't one of those rooms.

Best stateroom tour of Deluxe Veranda on You Tube! Thanks!
Wow, thanks!

I was 5 rooms down the hall from this one. I rearranged the chairs/coffee table to add more space in mine.

Great video. We’ll be cruising on Jupiter next year departing from Istanbul. Can you explain the safety drill procedure please?

A disclaimer at the outset re: any compensation, discounts, or other relationship with the cruise line would be appropriate.

Are there obstructed ocean view cabins on this ship?
We are not aware of any!
