- Specialized have just launched an all-new version of the ‘Status 2’ and we've been testing it out on the trails for the past couple of weeks. Designed to be the ultimate 'no fuss' trail bike that is just as well suited to blasting single tracks as it is to gapping flights of stairs in an urban jungle. The Status 2 is all about reliability and great value for money. Centred around a tough alloy frame, adjustable geo, mixed wheels, and a choice of either 140mm or 170mm of suspension dependant on which of the 5 available models you choose.
So, how does the all-new Status 2 ride? Lets find out.
Take my money
Please review the new session!! 🔥
I just ordered same bike. I’ll give it a go.
Any good?
I have both scalpel SE 2021 and the Status 2 2024. The scalpel is lighter on the ascents but both bikes handle the same downhill. Mind you I’m not professional but I handle my own. Status is def heavier than my scapel I feel a bit more winded on the single track
@@TheKeeperofdeathCheers dude...I'm having to decide on either a stumpy alloy or this...
@@TheKeeperofdeathisn’t the scalpel more of an XC bike though?
@@lucasharrell3382 yeah it is. Very fast
Does it feel like a freeride bike or like a big trail bike? Can it be comparable with commencal clash or canyon torque?
Both those companies have horrible quality issues. Especially commencal
Aloha, how does it compare to a capra core 2, ride/components/Value? 🤙
Marin alpine trail is better value. Ultimate level suspension. Frame storage l. Geometry and wheel size adjustment. Its 5600 vs 5200. Please do a comparis0n test
What size you use?
