    I have a Clearstream 2Max antenna (looks like a figure 8 with the two VHF rods). Indoor or outdoor. I have to use it indoor because I'm in an apartment with lots of concrete. This outperforms my old flat amplified antenna. The Clearstream is not amplified but I could add one if I wish. It picks up stations far better than the old flat antenna. Before, I couldn't get my local FOX station, with the Clear stream I can but only if it's pointed correctly. I seldom watch TV anyhow, usually only when I get family visiting otherwise my TV just sits and collects dust.

    When i used to watch Freeview the uk version, it was full of junk channels.
    Also the bit rate of the data was too low for a decent picture.
    It was crap in comparison to the original analog tv that they shut down to grab the band space and make money off it.

    I have three camcorders that need fixing.
    1st is my Sony Video8 Handycam CCD-F34 that has a scrambled picture on the viewfinder, very distorted audio out from the left channel only, and the tape mechanism will thread the tape but do nothing else. It also makes weird noises every now and then.
    Next is my Sony Video8 Handycam CCD-TR93 that works, but it does not have any sound at all.
    And third is my RCA CC547 VHS camcorder that only threads a tape and won't do anything else and the viewfinder is bad.

    • @12voltvids

      Throw them out. None are worth fixing. They have leaking surface mount electrolytic caps. The liquid that leaked out is corrosive and attacks the copper on the board. I won't repair them for any cost, and anyone that does is a crook because any attempted repair is short lived. That's why I refuse them all.

      @@expgretaillegacy well you would be pissed off if someone charged you 150 or 200 to fix them and they ran for an hour or 2 and then something else stopped working. I sure know i would be. Some cameras are worth fixing. The old F series are definitely not in that list. Anything from the 80s through the mid 90s are typically not worth putting anything into. This product appears to be exactly why I’ve cut the cord . Unfortunately in a very disappointing way, there were several parts missing not in the brand new unopened box pre packed! Imagine the joy? What parts, missing 2 wing nut screws, missing grill type mesh, also the aluminum brace, was there to be an amplified power booster? not even instruction manual ? What did I receive? A new box of guess what’s not included list of missing parts. Obviously this was prepackaged in a very speedy manner to ship this into Best Buy store. Unable to even complete the assembly of this terrible disappointment that has wasted my time and effort, I have to return this box and I expect a full cash refund. So please , be very cautious, do not end up as the only person in the world to have this nightmare, as I alone did. DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK OF BOXED TRASH. There isn’t a minus -10 approval joy on this product. A new sealed unopened box , and I happened to pick the only one missing parts prepackaged?! I really do want a full cash refund. Wouldn’t you?

    • @12voltvids
      @12voltvids  Год назад

      When you buy at places like best buy or home repo keep this in mind. They allow returns. People buy products carefully open the package take parts out, reseal the package and return to store for a full refund. The store thinking the package is unopened puts it back on the shelf. I know a guy, a retired detective at that, who did this all the time. If something broke he would buy a new one, put the broken one in the package and return and get his money back as opposed to calling the 1800 number to get an rma to return and then waiting weeks to get a replacement. Guess what you were the guy that got the returned unit. Sucks to be you but that has happened to everyone at one time or another. I once bought a video camera from best buy, one with a built in hard drive only to find someones European vacation. On the hard drive. Someone bought it, used it, copied the files and returned within the 14 day return period and I ended up with it. I would never have known except he forgot to wipe the footage. I must say they have some real nice nude beaches in France. Yes i kept a copy and returned the camera and bought a 4k which I shoot my videos with.
