I have the same j pole set up. Speaking of J poles, we have such hight winds I can't go up that high without attaching guy wires. Glad it worked for you. My clearstream 2 max will be upgraded with an Dat boss mix or eclipse model.
Thanks for the video. This was very helpful. I'm a newbie to the OTA thing. I just got the Clear Stream 4V but haven't fully mounted it yet. I'm out here in Rancho Cucamonga and I feel like I'm going to end up going with the Televes in the end. But, I have to go through motions as you did first. Fingers crossed.
@@jkelley2091 Thanks for the reply. How is your ABC (KABC-DT) reception on all antennas? Last night I stuck my Clear Stream 4v in the attic just for testing. I have no plans to keep it there. But I did get decent reception on FOX, NBC, and CBS. However, I did not detect ABC at all. I really would love to have the Televes 148383, but it might be a big too big. I would really like to know how your Televes 148281 compares directly to the Clear Stream 4v. Do they both get ABC from where you are and how do the signal strengths compare? Sorry to ask so many questions but this whole process has been consuming my brain.
@@solson223 Im 32 miles west of Mt. Wilson and i get all the channels perfectly 39 only comes in at night through about 7am the 148281 didn't get Retro and was weak on 6.1 METV+ but all the networks come in fine. They are all high wattage channels unlike channel 8.1and 8.2 all the 8's that is on Mt. Wilson but only 3000 watts I would go with the 8383 you will be happier. I'm running 3 tv's off it with no signal loss.

I'm getting mine directly from Televes I'm Colorado this coming week. I ordered one from Solid signal that I did not get to test. they sent me what looked like a previously used or return which was not cool. one of the elements was bent an some parts scratched up. hopefully I get a brand new antenna from Televes directly. I hope yours is working out well? are you using with or without the preamp?
You need to get the channel mater that has the green and red light was better then the juice Amp and put the antenna up higher and Wow. I was getting with the juice Amp was 32 channels and now with the channel master power Amp worked great. With the channel master antenna now I get 87 channels We'll if that helped😊
I tried that it was too much. I get 189 channels with what I have. Everything available in the Los Angeles area. Works beautifully. With TiVo edge for antennas.
I love Televes products. That DAT BOSS LR Mix is the mac-daddy of antennas. I'm interested in that clamp you are using to connect the mast to the j-pole. I *might* need to raise my mother's antenna a bit above the fireplace so I can install a bigger antenna. Would love to know where you got it from...

A nearby shared RF 4 could be the cause of your
interferance not antenna preamp

I would get the big one if I were you. That’s the only way you can guarantee that you get low vhf plus the thing is only 9 lbs just get a thinker pole

I think you will be happy with the Eleves there is no other way to get that Retro Channel without those 2 low VHF bars

You should watch of some videos from the Antenna Man. Those may be helpful.
I do I watched a lot of them before I purchased. The only he doesn’t do is talk about picking up low vhf
