Unfortunately, it doesn't work at night because they are optical sensors. If the area is sufficiently lit, it will recognize the obstacles

The original Mavic air will show a vast difference in picture quality. I also have the Mavic air 2 which is not a bad drone, but the air 2S has a great picture quality too.
