I took my husband out tonight to see The White Album concert and was utterly overjoyed to see and hear some of the land’s greatest talent in the one show. Passion, precision and excellence is how the band and four lead performers played. Superb! This song, as you hear in this interpretation, was utterly scintillating.
In Europe, Dutch band The Analogues are doing an amazing job. Saw them last Sunday play Abbey Road and an hour of selections from 66 to 70 on vintage instruments and it was a great experience. Check them out online David, you might like it.
Heard and saw this live in Melbourne this month. The whole concert was great but this track just sublime. I was in tears imagining George looking down from somewhere above. I never realised just how good Chris Cheney is. Now I know and I hope the memory of how well this track was performed never fades.
Same here mate. I was at Hamer Hall with my Mum & Dad and my sisters. My parents used to play the White Album when we were little (late 70's - early 80's). Chris's performance of While my Guitar Gently Weeps was phenomenal. When he placed his guitar on the stage during the solo, I didn't know what to expect, but I was completely blown away by his mastery on display. It was an absolute privilege to witness.

It's not about looking for covers, it's about dedicating with love and gratitude in memory of musicians like John and George not able to get to these gigs in this dimension & Paul, Ringo, who, with their two experimental partners, would have loved a band/bands/orchestration & show like this; perhaps at a Kennedy Centre or some President's House in Washington or even The Albert Hall in London. 'Cos these seminal Australia super-muso compositors know how to animate their instruments with better and more real cart-UNES than Gorillaz could even sniff at, even with eight million guests. These guys obviously love, with inclusivty and equity, The Beatles' songwriting skills and later solo extraordinary shows, first from George in a great Bangladesh life saver and later from John & Yoko in various Instant and disposable Karmas and Plastic Bands and then Paul, with minimalist bands, fabulous sonic backups and Ringo smiling and rocking with many, many, many all Starr-ing friends. I, for one, almost died when I saw my London return gets into Sydney, just a tad too late for me, making front row at my beloved Canberra Theatre the same night as landing and, undoubtedly going to bed with the very happiest happy ending ever, although via a Bangkok Business Lounge for a long, long time on way😂. So seriously, I'm looking into whether what ever dwindling savings I can muster or whichever escape from Canberran Dentists second guessing Dustin Hoffman's great Marathon Man "is it safe" scene for real at five grand price points, I truly will not, per capita, have to pay, I will try and get to Sydney's Opera House's best acoustics - Interdimensionally, in whole Universe. Thank you, guys, for showcasing two sides of an astounding body of Beatles music into an impassioned and poetry in motion performance. I hope to God I can see, feel, hear you, up close and personal, with some ghosts in my Galaxy and plenty of tears in heaven and it's only The Beatles because of their innovation that makes me carry Lennon and Harrison at Great Gigs in my pocket, or quote their dear buddy Eric. I love Cheney and I live this version but that HOF version with Prince, Petty etc stands alone. The only guitarist in history to match that performance on any song is Hendrix.
Tom petty and prince do another cover of this, its very good but i think this is better personally, tragically it has 10m views and 14k comments this 66k and 60, tragic

I was at the evening show started about 8:00pm. I wasn't aware that there was another show that day.
