Hope you guys like this week's video, I am very excited to finally have an aerator timer on my boat so I don't have to keep turning on the pump manually. I'm feeling WAY more confident about my fish care in 2022. Enjoy and tight lines!
Clever idea installing a mounting plate for the relay switch... good thing you caught the ground wire for the relay when you did... don't know how many times I'm almost done with a project only to have to tear it apart to run another wire... Lol
Haha thank you! And yes, glad I caught it early. My issue is that I record a TON of video and realize later that I forgot to turn on the mic and have no audio :(
Miss your fishing videos Dan! I hope are able to get out on the water soon. Interested to see how the Larry is treating you and hope you will come up and fish the Brockville area at some point for big Smallies. Have a great day.
Wow how did I not see this comment?! So that's amazing that you have the actual part numbers, I think I was able to get them as well from Princecraft head office last year but it's IMPOSSIBLE to find them!!! I called all kinds of places, sent photos of the switch to companies all over North America and no one seems to have them or has heard of them. If you know where to buy them, please please please let me know!!! And yes, PC parts for anything older than 5 years is just brutal.
Have 2 live wells in my 1995 skeeter bass boat, I need to rewire both of them as they have had the wires cut up. Question on this video, two orange wires go to which prong on the timer, in or out, in I would think is positive on the timer, and which prong goes to the aerator pump? Do you have a diagram for this? Can you help out a skeeter does not have any diagram for me
I know this video is a year or so old. But thought I might try throwing a comment at it anyways.. Does this configuration support using a "fill" pump, and an aerator pump? Or just good for the aerator pump? Thanks
You could definitely use it for both, in this video I actually use it on a fill pump not an aerator pump as my livewell doesn't have a recirculate plumbing system. Technically you could even wire both pumps to the same time or if you don't mind that both pumps run at exactly the same time with the same delay. Thanks so much for the question!
@@DanRichardFishing I sent you an email as well. Would you by chance have a diagram showing the possibilities you listed above that would include two pumps. What I am wondering is can the fill pump be run from one segment of the switch, and the aerator pump be run (through the timer) on the other segment of the switch? Thanks again...
what boat do you have? is that a 176 princecraft? I just got a 162 pro series, it's a 1995 but I'm rebuilding the whole thing pretty much.. the odd thing is i'm a video producer/motion designer and I did not document anything with video recording lol... too focused on making stuff right! ... But good job on the channel man I like to watch peoples first video and then the latest. Superbe progression! I saw a motomaster battery in one of your videos, i'm assuming your a canadian then haha, Keep up the good work. Also, how do you like that rocker switch? I got some from Amazon and the quality is so damn poor... Plus i'm questioning the waterproof aspect of them ...
Hi Fabiem! My boat is a 2005 Pro Series 165 SC, so a very similar boat to yours just a newer model. You are absolutely right, it's very difficult to film things properly but also focus on the task at hand. I will often say the wrong thing on camera because I am concentrated on the job. But I do the best I can and appreciate the kind words :) I am indeed Canadian (I would assume anyone with a Princecraft is Canadian hahaha) and live near Montreal :) Love the Gamma rocker switch, seems like good quality and I'm sure we'll be testing it's waterproof capabilities very soon!
Not sure what a rig rite is, but the timer I installed is exactly the right one if you already have a basic livewell installed on your boat like I do. I did think about installing JUST the timer but the problem is the 1 minute fill time isn't enough to initially fill up the livewell completely.

Nice job and great add on!
Thank you!!

Thanks buddy I'll be back to making videos next week! Just really really busy with all my spring renovations! I miss you guys!
Hey Dan Missing your videos. I'm new to Garmin. I love you Garmin videos. I have a new uhd 95 and I got a plus 74 sv on a boat I just bought
I have a 2005 179 SC. The switch you are looking for is a McGill 0862-4112 or 8062-4312 according to my notes. Princecraft parts..... What a pain.

@@DanRichardFishing MTL! oh cool I live in Gatineau haha. Where do you usually go fish over there? Do you fish the st-laurent?
toujours aussi bon, est-ce que tu as trouver mon to do list?😂je dois aussi modifier le mien. bon début de saison
Hahaha let's go Hugo, get it done! ;)
Why not use the rig rite and just have one clean switch?

I did the same thing you can see it on my channel
Nice install and great job on your rebuild, the boat looks great! I see we even both picked the same spot for the livewell controls! :)
Thanks bro
