I BURST INTO TEARS WHEN SHE SAID FORT MYERS!! Omg please help me! Please omg I can’t believe you’re this close.. I am dying!! Literally it’s taking my life! I have so many issues already! I’m scared! But I need help!
I know how you feel Erin. I've just had my first session of Prolotherapy for the same condition- BRP. I flew from Ireland to England to attend a clinic last week and I genuinely believe this is what I've been praying for this last 9 years.
Thank you for posting this! I guess it's time for me to finally get a primary and get this checked out. I'm a truck driver, that has been dealing with this for a year now. I thought it was the sun cooking my arm through the driver side window. But as she was talking, describing her experience I was saying what she was almost verbatim seconds before she was. My whole left arm, is a scab covered, scaly, agitated mess. Just happy, that this is at least a treatable condition. I really would love to get a decent night sleep again, I haven't slept well in ages because of this.
Hi ZIPPER, Thank you for sharing and sorry to hear about what you've been dealing with for so many years. Hope that you soon get the more thorough evaluation and help you need. Hopefully, a new set of eyes on your case can help uncover some new possible treatment approaches. If you feel that you would like our team to potentially see you here as a patient, you are welcome to reach out to us directly. Wish you all the best in healing!
Long exposure to direct sun light seems to bring on the more incidents of “itching” at night trying to sleep. Tensioning exercises to the Cervical vertebrae (neck base) definitely reduces the number of incidents.
I have about 20 different symptoms of cervical instability! Most of them are and have been so devastating and scary. But I'm am itching lately and many locations. Some are bad bad, but what's its doing in my brain is worrying me. I feel like I'm having a heart attack! I don't go to the bathroom hardly at all anymore. I have gastroparesis, gastritis which is scaring me bc I'm concerned there's a hole in my stomach. I live in mo and don't have $$ or a way to get any better. This is not living.i feel like I'm going to puke everyday.😢
Thank you for sharing. I have been dealing with this for over 30 plus yrs. I went to a doctor once and he gave me a cream that did not work. Ice packs will numb it enough to get to sleep. It doesn’t often bother me during the day.
I’ve finally been diagnosed with BP so took great interest in this video. However, it seems like nowhere in this video what exactly the treatment was in this case. Prolotherapy is mentioned but not explained 😢
Just starting noticing this SEVERE forearm itching and I'm 3 months out of rotator cuff, labrum, bicep surgery. I think the nerves issues from recovery are triggering this for me as I've scratched completely through the skin of my forearm trying to find relief. I even staring taking allergy medication thinking I had to be allergic to something. I honestly hope this is a solution and I'm so glad I looked for this symptom specifically as it was only affecting me for days and not months. My heart goes out to those suffering from anything even remotely similar!
I’ve had this type of unbearable itching pruritis above tailbone/ belt line ever since was in a car accident as a kid. Its always been on and off for months at a time, Ive always known it was a nerve problem because it’s too weird and instense. Distracting the sensations with menthol and lidocaine and ice like she said. This was a great video for me to have stumbled upon, I might just consider this treatment someday, thankyou for sharing this story! Great people!

Watching this video helps me realize I'm not crazy lol. I have twin boys that are 6. I work out also. I have delt with this a year and half. I'd go get adjusted by a chiropractor and it would go away. But the last 6 weeks it has been consistent. I've had to ice my neck and I've put lidocaine cream on my arms. My sleep has been deeply affected. I saw my doctor and a neurologist over a year ago and they were no help. This explains a lot. I have another appointment scheduled now to get this handled. I too also thought it may be sun.
Thanks for these videos! I have had severe itching in my upper legs and arms as well as my shoulders, chest and upper back and I'm in utter misery and I have been looking for answers! I am going to have to look into this!!!
So I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, Chiari malformation and cervical cranial instability. What can I do for help? Chiropractic care is not advised for people with our condition.
Been itching for a year and a half and I am bed ridden most of the time! I have ZERO QUALITY OF LIFE SO I JUST HOPE AND PRAY THAT THIS IS A POSSIBLE SOLUTION! I have tried creams, lotions, every thing! Ice packs help a little on a good day but on a bad day nothing works! I NEED A MIRACLE!!!
God, please heal Jeremy Hopwood from this itch and may He live a full and healthy life for the Glory of Your Name, in Jesus's Mighty and Holy Name. Amen. 🙏
Could it still be a pinched nerve even if hot water when showering triggers the itching. I also thought it was from the sun as the itch always comes back in the warmer months. Its so annoying and I'm getting scabs from itching all night.
Exact symptoms my daughter has been purring up with in last month. Itching at night comes on several times, only when lying in bed to sleep. No topical ointment (trued more than 8) helped. Only moist face towels soaked with icy water rubbing on arm helps relieve itching. Extending neck, pulling upwards has helped
After hearing shannon's story now it's strikingly similar to my problem but it's just on my one arm I think at first I had it on both arms but it never came back on my right arm it's just been my left arm and it does come and go I think it's came and went a couple times once for like a year and once for two years it went away and came back
It’s not itching. It’s mostly burning. It makes you scratch so hard, the skin breaks. The only relief there is would be an ice pack directly on the skin. It sucks. It sucks very badly.
So, would prolotherapy be feasible for more extensive Cervical spine disorder, such as IF you have already had cervical spinal fusion as well as multi-level posterior Laminectomies in the past.
I've been having this reoccur off and on. I'm up right now bcuz of it. Felt like my left arm is on fire 🔥 😫 Getting blotches from scratching. I hurt my back again yesterday had to stop detailing a car and lay on the lawn for a half hour and stretch till it was manageable to finish the job and now I'm up at 3. Does anyone know of any similar praxtioner in the upstate NY region? I've been dealing with this for almost a decade now. Woke me up last night and had to go get the ice pack to finally get relief. I'm over it.

Ten years for me, I'll try anything. Was getting Qutenza patches which are very effective but the NHS withdraw funding for my support. Its only £200 for thee months though.
Had this for 10 years. Whats odd that Iws about 6 mnths free this year but now the arm itching has kicked in with a vengeance. Its due to the neck but what triggers it no one knows.
This gives me hope. I’m not 100% sure it’s cervical related but when I get anxiety, my back and chest / belly area and a bit of my arms get really itchy. If I stop what I’m doing and just shut my brain off for a few minutes it subsides. Daily stresses are definitely triggers. I can’t live like this. I have 3 kids (9,4 and 3) and I’m unable to do certain activities with them due to this. What is the treatment called ? ( the injections ). I need to know the “lingo” so my doctor understands lol. Thank you.
How can I convince my doctor here in UK that I might have brachioradial pruritus. I am in pain all over my body, I have even pulled my skin off, I am bleeding all over my body. Now a year later, the itching I have is only on my arms. I am so tired. Any suggestions please.
Pillow firmness can definitely interfere with posture! We recommend sleeping with a pillow that is extremely squishy - one that helps you lay in perfect posture!
While researching this condition I realized it's somewhat common to misspell pruritus as pruritis. I've been doing it. It's the suffix "itis" that messes us up. Correct form: prūrī(re) to itch + -tus of v. action
Hi PCD 30, Thanks for sharing and sorry to hear how long you've been suffering with this. Glad you are looking into some possible diagnostic and treatment options. Wish you all the best in healing!
Thanks for bringing this to light no one here in New Jersey know what this is and how to treat. Capasan pepper cream only thing that helps... deaden nerves
Hi Carol, Just replied to your other comment too. Glad that the videos were helpful in any way. We would be happy to help you here, if that is something you're considering. Wishing you the best in health!
I would be glad to come visit for treatment alas I'm in nj and having horrific problems with lumbar spine also but again thx for bringing this to the public.
Thanks for sharing this. I was diagnosed with brachioradial pruritus a few years ago, but have suffered much longer. At one point, I was seriously considering having my arm amputated. I'm now on Lyrica, which helps, but I still need ice packs to sleep during my "itchy season". What would cause this to get worse from late August to March-ish? It gets worse at night too (before I lay down). Hormones causing inflammation? Some years I have it in one arm, and some I have it in both. I don't want to be on medication that only half-helps, and gives me brain fog, for the rest of my life. I have four young children to look after. By chance, can you recommend a Prolotherapists in Ontario, Canada?
Hi Laura, Thanks for sharing. It can be such a frustrating condition. Glad you are looking into some other possibilities to get to the bottom of it. We do not have an outside referral, and we do treat patients from Ontario. If you feel that you may want to be seen in our center, you are welcome to reach out to our team. We wish you all the best in healing!
have you found any treatment in Ontario? I have severe bouts of this the last three years...each time starting in July. First attack was my right shoulder chest, then down the arm...next attack a few months later was on left shoulder, then ten months later right side again, upper arm on and off for two months. Current attack is a different spot, left front forearm near elbow. Not as severe but non stop this time for a week so far. Crazy stuff.
Hi M R- Glad you continued to research some potential options for your case. Our team would be happy to talk with you in more detail if you would potentially like us to see you here in our center. We wish you all the best in resolving your symptoms asap!
Great question, Mark! We do not give cortisone injections, that is actually the exact opposite of what we do. This is Prolotherapy, a regenerative medicine injection technique. We have a lot of information on our website about this treatment, take a look - www.caringmedical.com
What kind of doctor can give Prolotherapy ? I too have the upper left arm itch that’s driving me crazy! I don’t want to be put on more meds to treat symptoms need this therapy ASAP! I have neck issues too so it totally makes sense, I knew the itch was nerves cause there is nothing on my skin
Hi JoAnne, Thanks for the question. You can Google it to see what comes up in your area. It depends on the state, as doctors such as MDs and DOs can perform injections, as can PAs, and in many places so can NDs and NPs. It depends more on if they take on the types of cases that you are dealing with. Many prolotherapists treat extremities, such as knee arthritis or a shoulder tear, but the cervical and upper cervical spine are too advanced for their office to handle. Just like any other treatment, some specialists are able to take on more complex cases than others. If you would like our team to take a look at your case and possibly help you here, you are welcome to reach out to us directly. Wish you all the best in healing and resolving your symptoms! Take care.

Help plsss.... theres mild numbness on my index, middle and ring finger(no pain, only numbness)... pinky and thumb has no problems...its been 3 weeks and my 3 fingers are still numb... the cause is forsure me doing those weird excercise that kept hitting my wrist on the wall and also using keyboard... i already stopped those activities immediately right after my fingers are numb and, let it rest...but its been 3 weeks and the numbness is still not gone even though i let it rest...can you guys tell me what this condition might be??? is it cts??
Hi mUsic, Thanks for sharing your story and sorry to hear about your symptoms after doing those exercises. To give a diagnosis, we would need to see someone in person for a physical exam, ultrasound of the area, and review of their medical history. We hope that you can get in to see a local specialist who can evaluate your wrists and give you some advice. If you are not able to get answers or resolution to your situation, and would like our team to evaluate your case in more detail and potentially help you here, please feel free to reach out to us directly for a more in-depth discussion on your case. We wish you all the best in health!
I've been trying to figure out the itch problem that I have and I keep coming to this my itching is very specific it's only on my left arm as of right now on the very top of my arm all the way up. In the back of my neck as well although it's usually not as bad as my arm gets.... you can even see a line where it's really red and where it's not red anymore there's a perfect line there and the itching is so bad sometimes it takes my breath away I have to use ice and that's the only thing that helps there was one time a few years ago even ice didn't help it that one time and you would think that numbing the nerves with ice would help
Sorry the you've been dealing with this condition. We know it can be very frustrating and miserable. :( Glad you're looking into some possible options. If you'd like us to help you here in our center, you're welcome to reach out to us directly. Wish you all the best in healing!
Hi The Velvet Voice Podcast, Yes, we will have an updated video series on Prolotherapy in the coming months. There are videos on our channel as well that show Prolotherapy being done on various areas, including the neck which is what the patient in this video received. If you would like to read a more detailed explanation of Prolotherapy, you may want to check out our article on it here: www.caringmedical.com/prolotherapy/ Thanks for the request, and we wish you all the best in health!
Hi Rolexxx92- Good question, and while we cannot specifically recommend any particular supplements for people without seeing them first and knowing their medical history, condition, etc.. In general, we find that those types of natural herbs do not have a negative effect on outcomes and many of our patients really like them during the initial healing phase right after treatment.
Thank you for sharing this story. I have been going bat shit crazy with this problem. I was at one point convinced it was mosquito spray. I have lived with ice packs on my arm/s for weeks on end at times. When it’s gone I forget about it but when it returns it starts with a very itchy back of my neck and my first thought is shit here it comes again. I will definitely be finding the closest place to get this.
You're welcome. Happy to help! Hope you can get long-lasting relief, Shawn. If you feel that you need our center in the future, you're welcome to reach out to us directly. Take care.
I'm so hoping my GP listens to me and understands about this horrible thing (I'm in the UK), I can't see me having anything else as it all points to this and only ice packs relieves it, I've also gotten some uv sleeves for when I'm out in the sun which I also use factor 50 sunblock and try to avoid sitting directly in the sun. So fingers crossed when I finally get to speak to my gp in 2 weeks time they refer me. Thanks for this great video.
I did'nt know about this previously, I tried different soaps, laundry liquids, organic clothing, organic anti-allergic skin lotions, thought it was from taking painkillers - even tried Neem oil. Finding out so much here :-) .
@@shyannedianne1962 if it's any consolation I had this prob years ago and it disappeared as soon as it came. I'm convinced it's heat, stress or adrenaline related. It's awful tho...my back feels like being stuck with a thousand needles from the inside. Will try the ice pack . Good luck

Where is caring medical?
Hello. Can you explain a bit more what exactly is Prolotherapy ? What was the actual treatment specifically given to the itching free lady.
While under going prolotherapy treatment, are natural herbs that help inflammation a no go? Like curcumin, tumaric, msm etc ??
Hi Rolexxx92- Good question, and while we cannot specifically recommend any particular supplements for people without seeing them first and knowing their medical history, condition, etc.. In general, we find that those types of natural herbs do not have a negative effect on outcomes and many of our patients really like them during the initial healing phase right after treatment.
300mg of gabapentin and 20mg of baclofen a day knocked it out for me
Hi Borderland Films, Thanks for sharing. Glad you were able to get it knocked out. We wish you all the best in health.
I'm on Gabapentin too but it doesn't help with the itching!
I'm in the UK..get this down my back....brought on by heat. GPs not willing to look at anything outside the standard I'm afraid
@@midnightpretenders5749 I've had no help from the gp and again only ice really works
@@shyannedianne1962 if it's any consolation I had this prob years ago and it disappeared as soon as it came. I'm convinced it's heat, stress or adrenaline related. It's awful tho...my back feels like being stuck with a thousand needles from the inside. Will try the ice pack . Good luck
how is this in 2020 and no one is wearing a mask..makes me question watching this
