I really think I'd sell a eye or testicle before ever selling a tool or gun, all joking aside, but I'm never selling either. It takes a real man to put his family first the way you did, mad props for your sacrifice!👏👏👏
Glad to see you back as long as you’re happy with what you’re doing. I’ve recently gone to the management side and your videos about pay structures were one of the things that got the ball rolling. I do miss turning wrenches but not competing against people who play the game or being sore all the time
Definitely glad you're back to your original content. Gotta say man you were the first channel I ever watched and got me hooked to RUclips toolbox tours
Finally back TO normal uploads like the ones that made me follow you
Yes more tool videos! I just got my first job in a shop it may just be farm n fleet but it's my foot in the door and I get to use my own tools. Also I'm kinda jealous you say you got a thousand pocket pry bars and I can't seem to get my hands on one 😂 tried ordering one on Amazon and it never came
Yoooooo! I’m so happy you went back. I recently did the same and couldn’t be happier
Thanks for the review stay safe
The fuel 3/8 stubby and longneck brute ratchet are an absolute must have! I love mine and will never sell em
Glad to see you back with Capt Ron
Finally, the tools we wanna see. Love to see some vids of you back in the dealership, good luck 👍🏽
Welcome back! Really glad to see you.
Good to see u again on the tools man :)
Glad your back!!!
Great in fo thank you!!
Got the long neck snapon wrench, and that snapon light. Only Milwaukee I have is the 2960 3/8 mid torque impact. Bought it the day it came out and it is excellent
Good to see you back sharing the awesome content
Great video 👍
Excellent video, I was wondering what kind of rebuys you would have going back to dealer life. I couldn't live without my Milwaukee gang of tools, I'm am definitely a fanboy. I'm also very happy to learn about the return of Nifty Tools of the Week. Looking forward to the new content!
Yeah could not do without my Snap On light like that one, absolutely love it
Love the content!!
Great Milwaukee choices! If you can have patience, wait for Home Depot to have sales. Best way to buy Milwaukee, by far.
Good Back.. 👍🥁🎻🥃
Do a tool box tour of the box and tools you are using at the dealership
Can’t wait for the new content man!
Did you ended up holding on to your Tribus o2 sensor wrench? If you did, how is it holding up for you? Would you recommend it? I'm thinking of purchasing one. Hope all is well & thank you for your time!
Yes! Still have and literally just used it Friday. Was great to get into that rusted out sensor on a Promaster.
I’m glad your regular post are coming back! So I just sold off most of my snap on 18v stuff, and I’m looking to change platforms. Is that 1/2” stubby Milwaukee a good wheels and light duty half inch gun? Anyways good video!
So I’m actually testing that right now myself! If you do mostly cars and light duty trucks, yes all day long. Get that and a 4 or 6 ah m12 battery and you’ll be happy as ever for doing most quick wheel work. However if you do some bigger things like HD trucks like I work on a lot of 45-5500’s… it WILL take all the lug nuts off, it just takes a few extra seconds on each one. In that application for all day use, I’d rather go with a light weight m18 mid-torque.
Used the brute, didn't take long for it to need rebuilding
Hell yah rustbelt is back 👍👍
Should I have a $3500 remanufactured transmission (jasper 100k warranty) put in an 03 Lincoln Town Car with 180k? I love the car and its otherwise in great condition (engine, paint, body, suspension, interior). I drive 60k highway miles a year for work and diy all the maintenance/repairs. Plastic intake manifold already replaced lol damn 2v 4.6
Good question! If you like the idea of being able to pay for a $3500 trans instead of going into debt and owing a monthly payment for who knows how long…. Then yes definitely do it! I like not owing money 👍🏻
Any one know the part number on the snap-on light? I'm gonna have to hit my dealer up and see if those are available here in Australia.
I was really hoping you found a way out of the flat rate game but always had a feeling that gig was too good to be true
Everything happens for a reason it seems, we just keep adjusting and making things work out.
“Keep rowing I hear banjos.”
I wonder if it would of worked out if you did the same thing with one of the big four tool truck brands? Great to see that you have a good attitude about this...I would be gutted if I had to rebuild my tool hoard.
That is a big wonder🤷♂️
Kudos to you for not letting your pride get in the way and trying to provide your family with a better life. Snap on has a way of thinking that they should come over your family. Good to see someone had some respect for the important ones in their life vs. the stupid ass tool truck guy that you’re just making rich, no matter how much they say that “they are just barely getting by”
Bought the streamlight switchblade awhile back off your original tool review video. Off just that uv light and being at gm with condensers has paid for itself 10x over
Right?! Can’t do without it
@@RustbeltMechanic yeah ironicly I think most the younger guys at my shop have ordered them now as well. I don't do a ton of suspension work but when I do switchblade attached to a frame rail is perfect
I wish the mag was stronger and charge while in use
Astro pneumatic makes some awesome lifts in my opinion. I dont think I will ever buy a light off the tool truck .
Lifts or lights? Lol .. Probably auto or voice text as I have same issues.....
So still doing review on sp tools too
Haven’t had much from them lately, especially since I left the company 🤷♂️
👍👍
Just a suggestion you should throw a link in all your videos for your channels, podcasts, etc as it'll be easier to find then. Now I'll have to go type. Lol...
Do you think the Grypmats are too expensive for a Chinese product? I do love them but have a different $15 Chinese version that is priced like a Chinese product should be. If they were made in USA i could understand their price point.
The switchblade light looks familiar....
Yes… it sure does…. 😒😒🤔
Did you buy house before crazy real estate market changes?
The house I bought is…we’ll say not a normal market house, so it did not follow the trends
I'd do the same but been out for years my certs out of date
Glad to see you back at the shop. Did your shop have a new Foreman or is that a role your going to fill again ?
They did not get another one, just spread the roles out to others. On coming back I did not want those extra roles unless they pay matched. So we’re just going without one for now.
@@RustbeltMechanic right on man , hope all works out and you get to enjoy wrenching again !
Snap on 14,4 ftw
The milwuakee angle impact puts that snapon wrench to shame...
All good things come to an end sooner or later. Been waiting on the Epic return.
Get your position you left at the dealership back or ????
Sure did!
Prodigal son returns
🤘🏻😁🤘🏻
Kyle I have a orange set I'll trade you for the green? Don't matter if they're dirty.
I’ve got the orange at work and the green at home 😁
Hello RM. The tools are awesome.
So..... when's McBake coming back now? Have to get it all done.... Lol....
Trying to schedule a collab with him here soon actually, he’s in the area so he will be eventually
Are you back at the same dealership?
Yep
So… did you re-buy a tool box? 😇
Yes kind of🤷♂️ I’ll be going into that eventually
Are you at the same dealership?
Yep sure am 👍🏻
@@RustbeltMechanic Good to see that you left on good terms. Ive see a lot of young people quit on the spot at the dealership that i work at. Never burn bridges because the grass isnt always greener on the other side.
Couldn’t say it better myself…everyone needs to learn that and some humility
@@joelopez40oz23 sometimes it's good to idea to nuke some bridges though 🤣
@@xephael3485 Only when it comes to women lol
Listen to the last 30 or so seconds. Did you mean "new younger techs coming into the tool industry" as you stated or mean "new younger techs coming into the repair industry"? Threw me a loop the way you said it.... 🥴🤔🤔
There's some irony in having a thin blue line and don't tread on me flag
When’s a new epiq coming to the channel LOL.
Lol one could hope…however the no debt or payment part is nicer right now
@@RustbeltMechanic absolutely man. Sometimes it’s smarter to just work on a smaller scale and stay ahead.
@@RustbeltMechanic absolutely man. Sometimes it’s smarter to just work on a smaller scale and stay ahead.
Are you still supportive of SP as a brand? the few things I bought I do like a lot
I still own their tools and still stand behind every video I’ve made talking about them.
@@RustbeltMechanic any recommendations, I'm waiting for the magnetic torx keys to come fir my moto bag
