12:26 Sweetness is like "nope I earned the spike on this one" what a warrior running behind his blockers and giving 2nd, 3rd and sometimes even amazing 4th efforts on plays other guys die on. Never die easy just fits him and his style so f'ing well.
And then the next touchdown he does a 7feet high dive and lands on his head in the endzone. Walter was not only the best FOOTBALL player ever (any position on either side) but he was a maniac. What a beast, my God.
Thank you so much for the video! Undoubtedly much work was done. I'm looking for someone to show his defensive highlights... according to John Madden, one year Walter had 12 tackles after interceptions. That is just crazy and even more evidence that Sweetness was the best football player of all times.
Payton is the best pro football player ever. He out skilled more brutal players & out brutalized more skilled- which was hard to best him at either. You can not find a more complete RB. Impossible. Especially, during the era he played in the RB was a premier position & you had to be of elite ability to be as great as he was… there are only a hand full of positions a player could be called the best football player,in my opinion. RB,LB,Safety,TE because of all the facets one would have to be involved in. Unlike a QB (for example)who would obviously be the most important- especially in modern times BUT he isn’t a complete player- much like a MLB pitcher compared to an everyday player. Last point: if Payton has lived longer the PR machine would’ve been greater to the next generation, if #34 had played for a NY team he would’ve been even more revered than he is now( L. Taylor for example)
That's 😢 it's such a shame how Sweetness passed away so young 😢 he was always my favorite player growing up in the 70's and 80's
Thank you Walter Payton(sweetness) for your greatness in the NFL. Long live your memories😅
Waltor Payton was overpowered my god.. no one could stop him..

@Aaron Hildebrand to me, he hit harder than Butkus because of his positioning, angles, speed, and explosiveness. .
I wish there were highlight videos NOT in slow motion. His speed was amazing in real time.
Love the classic NFL films commentators and music

I love all of my fellow Mississippians. Walter has always been my favorite ❤️
reminds me or watching bird get the ball or Orr get the puck. Walter gets the ball and something is going to happen.
Everyone knows Payton is getting the ball at the goal line, yet there is little they can do to stop him.

True!!!
Walter Payton also threw 8 NFL touchdown passes.
The GOAT!!! RIP Sweetness!
It's amazing that Walter Payton was the offense until the Bears finally got a QB in Jim McMahon.
Give the ball to Payton, let him run.
He was still the offense once #9 came
I personally witnessed 7:22 and 7:44.
My favorite all-time NFL announcer at 31:13, Charlie Jones
No matter where waltor Payton was on the field it was pretty likely he would score..
Kinda Like a Joke ! Touchdown Walter Payton
Disliked, not enough ads
