The boat is beautifully fitted out with cushions and other decor. Petro has changed the boat into a love aboard. Very informative video once again. The plaster cast won’t hinder Frik pulling on sheets or halyards as the winches are electric. Fair winds. 👍
1:14 min into this video and i hope you get the skil to balance the audio part of your videos so we don't have to keep adjusting our sound system every few seconds. love your info on thr L 45 !!
Richard Chasse hi Richard, thank you for the great advise!! We did however listen to our subscribers, so check out from eps 8, and see if you like the improvement;-)
Hey folks I’m way down here again lol. Just a quick question, the ad at the very beginning before the video starts, does it count/matter or just the ones after? I try not to skip to help out but I always seem to skip the first one to get to your video. Edit--wait what? Frick you mean you started this whole arm injury thing? 😅 Sorry to see just the same!
I'm enjoying your videos, but a couple of tips. Ease up on the fast motion stuff, it doesn't work. Your volume is all over the place and as another user said, don't have music while you are talking. If you want to establish a following, stick to the sailing/boat stuff to start with. There are enough travelogues out there already. Anyway, keep going and have fun.
Thank Lach! Very good advice! Allow me one clarification though. Our nature of travel will be to visit other countries through sailing. We will sail to each destination and perhaps several destinations in that country where we will explore the country too and discuss different cultures, events, tastes, smells, and sounds. What would you recommend is the best ratio then for our journey? 70% sailing and 30% what we experience at the destination? We are only starting out with our journey to visit and experience other places. You know? To live outside the rat race? Any advise would be appreciated :-)
What I was trying to say, was concentrate on getting the boat and setting it up to start with. Once you are afloat, then show all the sights, smells and tastes of places you go. Even though Lake Malawi looks interesting, it doesn't have any connection with sailing around the world, except for the water part!!!!!!
Nice videos, but the background music makes it hard to understand what you are saying. This seems to be a common problem with You Tube videos. It would be nice if there was no music anytime someone is speaking. Good luck.
Thank you, Richard! We want for sure to work on our audio! Audio is very new to us and it is quit difficult to get the background noises filtered out. What do you think about our Afrikaans accents? Does it contribute with the background music to make it difficult to follow?
accent no worries but you dont need any music while youre talking.also when you stop talking and music comes on its about twice as loud. great informative video though.
Agree with Ken, but for the love of all things holy are there not any other options than Raymarine? I have done the miles with both & convertted mine to B&G in 2003 - and they are much better these days.... everything else looks good man.... However as is well known - your dream, your boat..... Will watch with much pleasure on your journey!
Lol, Paul, I think the whole boat is wired for Raymarine at the factory...but if we do run into troubles down the line and need to replace Raymarine, then yes, we will for sure look at other options such as B&G. I was looking at the bus and it seems Raymarine SeaTalk 2, Raymarine SeaTalk, Simrad Simnet, and Furuno CAN are rebranded implementations of NMEA 2000, though may use physical connectors? So, I can use the same wires (bus) but just need different connectors?
Ah, thank you! We also received many comments that it is useless :-) but we think every bit of information you can have about what is happening around you, can be used in a sensible way ;-)
GREAT INFORMATION!!! Loved this video and the detailed info. Super informative for us that are cat shopping but not electronically savvy. Did you get FLIR with the Raymarine Package? Music is not necessary while you are speaking, makes understanding you a bit difficult in parts. Look forward to watching more.
Thank you, Christian! Great critique, thanx, we need these kind of comments to help us making the videos better...Next one, no music while talking :-) If you mean Forward Looking Infra Red, no, I did not. But come to think of it...it may help navigating at night when looking for a mooring ball in a busy anchorage ;-) I will look into that one.
The reason I asked is I noticed it in one of the split screens on the Raymarine in the background and thought how helpful that would be identifying strange boats at night. Sorry hear about your arm. If it gets itchy use compressed air to blow out the dead skin. Works wonders for itchy casts.
I saw the FLIR, but dismissed it by default. Yes, my arm is getting itchy, but did know that it was because of the dead skin, will definitely test your advice out!
Life jackets without the crutch tend to slip over the head quite a lot of the time. The safest life jackets are the ones with the crutch as some people have been lost at sea due to life jackets slipping over there head in the water.
Amazing seeing those flies over Lake Malawi. The terrible and loud music overwhelmed your voice and just got annoying, perhaps just turn it off during narration. Oh and the drone began to lose video signal not loose. I’m a new subscriber and I guess you are learning the intricacies of video editing, looking forward to more.
Thank you for subscribing! Yes, I am used to action videos where it is music only....so, voice and audio is a nightmare! I never knew why the singers needed a sound engineer...now i know :-D but ep 8 is about to hit your screen and i changed the music thing during talking. Thank you!
I saw the Delos episode on it...not convinced yet, but I am looking! Thank you for watching and your kind advice! Have you watched our non technical videos? Did you like them too?
The more I watch the more the wife hits me over the head, 'Turn that off she tells me, it sounds just like us two'. I'm getting used to getting hit over the head now, guess she's right. great videos guys keep it up.
Would you please turn the music down when you're talkin it really is hard to hear you with the music as loud as you have it at least for me anyway thank you
Hi, thank you for gritting through them. We have made major changes in our videography and editing since those early days, keep watching, it will improve a lot 😊⛵⚓
Thank you for the advice! Yes, it is the first time we are working with voice and audio together...we are learning that too :-) but, check out ep. 8 on sunday, i think you may find i am reading and hearing your comments ;-)
No, we are not paid by anyone, and perhaps I do not follow you, but it will be difficult to mention the options and compare without mentoring the product?
I disagree. This is fascinating information. You are sharing your research and logic behind your decisions. And this allows others to learn as well. I know that Raymarine is a nasty word for many but it's good to work through your decision making process. Especially for one that thinks of electrical components as some form of black magic.
So sorry Phillip, sadly our first videos are by far not ideal, bad sound, bad camera work, bad editing. The whole video game was new to us, as was sailing lol. Thankfully we improved as we made more videos, so please bear with us in the next couple videos, it does get better 😅
We received awesome advice from our viewers regarding the annoying music :-) watch from ep. 8...I think you will love the sound!
how is the sound on our latest videos? we also try to make the video less shaky and smooth flow transitions...
😆Then I will not say anything!😉Awesome info you are sharing.💓
@@SailingSisu just started yesterday watching you. Must still get to the info without music. 💓The info you are sgaring!
The boat is beautifully fitted out with cushions and other decor.
Petro has changed the boat into a love aboard. Very informative video once again. The plaster cast won’t hinder Frik pulling on sheets or halyards as the winches are electric. Fair winds. 👍
😅 Thank you, Nico! Yeah, someone still needs to work the sail into the bag 😂
Great to watch another 2m sailor.
Next sailboat I buy is going to have full headroom. Sure limits the range of options 😎⛵️
Lived in many countries of small people or where old buildings were not yet adhered to standards :-)
Hi Guys...Go with a split system, if you loose your nav system but still have sonar. Great informative vids.
Good advice! Thank you Ken! Do have experience in forward sonar? I was hovering more over to Simrad?
Love love love your presentation ❤ thank you
Awesome! Thank you for the kind words!

😅🤣😂 Yes, that was a tough break! You can skip the ads, no problem!
Very informative!! Can see you've done quite a lot of research!
Thanks! Lots of RUclips videos and big internet account :-)
I'm enjoying your videos, but a couple of tips.

Sure thing!

aha, I found the "normalize" function on Premiere Pro. will normalize the music track too next time.
Richard kill the music kept the accent. Music while you are talking is unwatchable.
Watch eps 8 ;-) has done just that.

thank you for watching, Jimmy!
Sailing Sisu, I enjoy your videos and hope to one day follow your example. Be safe my friend
Thank you! Stay safe!
I’m pretty sure you’ll get good use of forward sonar even in charted areas.
Ah, thank you! We also received many comments that it is useless :-) but we think every bit of information you can have about what is happening around you, can be used in a sensible way ;-)
First I saw this! You want to travel to the Arctic and Antartica?
Yes, but not immediately because we need to get used to the boat sailing, and heavy seas. I always start with the end goal in mind
GREAT INFORMATION!!! Loved this video and the detailed info. Super informative for us that are cat shopping but not electronically savvy. Did you get FLIR with the Raymarine Package? Thank you! We are covering life jackets in more detail in episode 14 :-) may be a good idea to verify if we made the right choice?
Great detailed video but please, no more silly music.... thanks and best from HKG
We are listening, and we improved ep 8 please check it out and let us know if you have enjoyed that one more?
You should cut the music when talk so your clear.. Thank you for the information
thank you Jo and thanx for watching! Hope you like our later sailing videos as much as our technical videos? Did the sound improve?
Can you make a CD of the music?
LOL, we should! but not sure the license covers that ;-)

thank you James! Yes, it is a rabbit hole...but the other side is the rat race...
Meanwhile in World of Warships 1:07
DD smoke cloud is spotted use Hydrocoustic Search to spot for any incoming torpedoes or to spot the enemy
sounds like you have a good time!
Would you please turn the music down when you're talkin it really is hard to hear you with the music as loud as you have it at least for me anyway thank you
We tried to improve the sound from #9, watch it and provide us some feedback?

This is a forward and below sonar:
buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/p/567680#overview
Thank you, Eric! Yes, we got that exact same PS51 with a Garmin chart plotter :-)
That volume that goes up and down like a fiddlers elbow is very off putting.
We heard you, please watch ep 8 and tell us what you think?
Good job, much better sound. Following along with your adventure.
Thank you !!!!
I think your videos would be much better if you had no background music, it becomes annoying after a couple of minutes
Hi, thank you for gritting through them. We have made major changes in our videography and editing since those early days, keep watching, it will improve a lot 😊⛵⚓
Lose the music or turn it way down. Irritating!
Thank you for the advice! Yes, it is the first time we are working with voice and audio together...we are learning that too :-) but, check out ep. 8 on sunday, i think you may find i am reading and hearing your comments ;-)
sorry, i am typing with one hand...the shift caps just seems too painful!
when you are talking technical please sack the music
Please watch ep 8 and provide us with some feedback?
More of the boat less of the products (unless they're paying you as a spokeman).
No, we are not paid by anyone, and perhaps I do not follow you, but it will be difficult to mention the options and compare without mentoring the product?

MUSIC TO LOUD!!!!
Thank you! We were still learning, kindly accept our apologies
Don’t like your sounds remind me of Ibiza 2012 why so loud
It gets better, promise 😊
So annoying I can’t hear you which is disappointing all I hear is that loud music
