Since I take the quiz very seriously, and I want to be that person, I actually love it when someone else is like that on my team so I don’t have to look bad 😂
Yeah, it's easier to make fun of people who are trying though! As a fellow serious pub quizzer though, there is a balance of being social and trying to win vouchers for a nutella pizza. A tough line to walk.
This one cracked me up! Roger Ebert once wrote, "I wish the Coen Brothers made a film every week." Well, I wish this lady made a video every day. Thumbs up!
Please pardon my "buttinski" here, but my favourite Ebert quote has long been [paraphrasing] "No good movie is too long, and no bad movie is short enough". This/these clips are good and feel too short ! Cheers
There should be a specific quiz night for boffins who have so little in their lives they NEED to win so the rest of the nights we normal people can just have a good time
My favourite bit was singing along to the music snippet so puppyish enthusiasm is added to all the other intense emotions the character is throwing out 😆
and then dealing with the passive aggression for the rest of the evening. Guess what, Carol? Maybe we could have won a pint if you hadn't changed each answer at the last moment. And yes, The Simpsons did indeed first air in 1989.
Could be because it's done on a phone in selfie mode...everything's reversed. E.g., in the video, she appears to be left-handed, and she's writing in the wrong direction on the paper.
I'm like this. There was another guy on our team who would confidently insist he knew an answer and then admit he hadn't really listened to the question, so it all balanced out. He believed Helen Keller sewed the first American flag.
Been a minute - I've long admired your quite-funny takes ! Liked the "telephone" notion of answers going all round the table - and trying to photo a guy in the gents. Just when it seems subtlety is dead, here comes you! Cheers
Apart from the content, the acting performance is amazing...conveys so much so briefly...nails it She should be working with Steve Coogan...would be interesting
Hah you're really good I've been watching you for awhile and you're always so spot on. Please keep this up you're very talented and I see big shiny youtube awards coming your way
I won the first couple of pub quizzes at my local. The bonus question was for the winner. I got it right both times and won the jackpot. Luckily I am built like my cousin who played professional rugby, so I made it out of the tap room alive, but subsequently a winning ticket got the jackpot question. The team I joined were satisfied with winning the eight pints for the quiz win most weeks thereafter. On meeting my girlfriend, I soon found myself conscripted into her parents' local quiz night, with similar results.
All of those years as a younger person being afraid to socialise because i thought i wasnt likable, and apparently people like this just had vibrant enough social lives to be so recognisable as an archerype
I'm a teetotaler, so I've never been to a pub (I think they are called bars in my country; there is also this word "tavern" but I don't know who calls them that). But anyways, it was interesting to learn that they give quizzes at pubs. I didn't know that. I thought they was just for drinkin' (and maybe karaoke).
Most pubs in the UK have a quiz night, usually once a week or once a month. Usually it's pretty casual, but some pubs take it really seriously and I believe there's even a national pub quiz league.
I've barely done any pubquizes and yet I totally recognise myself. I have a vivid memory of almost trying to eat the sleeve of my sweater while trying to remember the states of the US in my high school English pubquiz while my teacher just stared at me like I was absolutely insane😂
Last time I did a pub quiz, the table next to us were having a big discussion about a question they weren't sure about, with a few people putting forward guesses. They overheard me confidently stating a certain answer and went with that. Unfortunately, I was wrong, and therefore, so were they. This caused a girl on that team to get so annoyed that she started a big argument with her "friends" that resulted in them leaving the pub. She was still arguing with her boyfriend about it outside when we finally left an hour later! 😂
Well, it's really nice what you are doing, and I really don't want to be to picky, but what you showed was counter clockwise. Just saying, nothing personal! Keep up the good work!
Notice the anti clockwise motion with the pen, maybe because the camera image is reversed (She is writing right to left) but they could both be deliberate of course, hence the emphasis on what is "Clockwise". I think we should be told!
She could be feigning these movements in theory, but the mark between her eyebrows is also reversed (compared to what you see in videos which are obviously correct, e.g. because lettering is visible). Even her shirt is an indication: you'd expect to see a breast pocket on the left side, and women's shirts normally have the buttons on that side as well.
this lady is more British than the cliffs of Dover
Not hard these days 🤣
Cliffs of Moher supremacy
More British than the Yorkshire Moors.
That’s a crazy thing to say about a northerner 😂
@@charliecampbell5598 hell I'm an American, all you limeys look sound the same to me /s
Oh god. I know people like this. They squeeze the joy out of anything fun. After watching this, I have a terrible feeling I'm one of them.
Same 😂
:( I was wondering why it felt so relatable
This isn't squeezing anything out of anything, there's literally nothing wrong with this behaviour

Quizing is deadly serious you know
Tbf if you're not coming to the pub quiz to win then don't bother coming 😂😂
There should be a specific quiz night for boffins who have so little in their lives they NEED to win so the rest of the nights we normal people can just have a good time
whats crazy is that you're pulling up with this energy and yet i KNOW your ass is sitting pretty at 5th to 10th place every time anyway
My favourite bit was singing along to the music snippet so puppyish enthusiasm is added to all the other intense emotions the character is throwing out 😆
Accurate as ever...uncanny
I've missed these skits🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Brilliant as always, we all know somebody who thinks they are qualified to take charge of things.👌👌👌

Guess what, Carol? Maybe we could have won a pint if you hadn't changed each answer at the last moment. And yes, The Simpsons did indeed first air in 1989.
It's a nice detail that the character got "clockwise" wrong.
It's just the selfie camera. Note how she's writing from right to left.
Could be because it's done on a phone in selfie mode...everything's reversed. E.g., in the video, she appears to be left-handed, and she's writing in the wrong direction on the paper.
shes clearly right handed and her circle goes from 12 3 6 o clock
see thats why you´re not writing down the answers
i control+f "clockwise" to find anyone self reporting lol. just you bud.
many don’t realise that proper conduct in a pub quiz was established by the Magna Carta
I'm like this. There was another guy on our team who would confidently insist he knew an answer and then admit he hadn't really listened to the question, so it all balanced out. He believed Helen Keller sewed the first American flag.
I know this person. It’s why I stopped going to the pub quiz 😅
It's never not gold when this girl uploads

At last! I was waiting for another gem from you. I admire your acting talent. You are great!!!!❤
Give this lady a stint in Coronation Street great acting 👏
Always at least one laugh out loud moment! 😂👍🏻
There was this team that had a guy with a gavel. When the team couldn't get an answer he ended the discussion.

Beautifully observed and acted as always! 😂❤
I FEEL SO SEEN. I get wildly enthusiastic when I'm in a pub trivia team (I must admit I am good at pub trivia) and this is EXACTLY how I am.
Ah no better way to ruin a good time at the pub than with a quiz ! Esp with the types that have a stick rammed somewhere ! 😂

The best one yet.😅🎉😊

At least it wasn't a pube quiz.
You're supposed to win a pub quiz, what's wrong with doing any of this?
Great..
OK So....
