In this video, we get to work on the cab swap on Hank's squarebody Chevy. After a lot of consideration, we decided that instead of spending countless hours on rust repair on his crusty cab, we'd just swap the cab with a better one.
After completing our 48-hour paint job challenge, it's time to pull the old cab and get the new one set on the frame. With that complete, this joker is on its way to riding in style!!!
We still have a lot of work to do, but with this out of the way, the finish line is in sight!!!

Looks good coop the only thing I would have is power wash the heck out of the gas tank and frame. Looks good

This is a great series! The idea of taking an older standard cab pickup to rebuild is nice to see. Keep the videos coming. I suspect there will be plenty of viewers at some point.

Coop do make a bed picker upper for a cherry picker to remove all truck beds now,,maybe it's time to invest one also,,,,I have been a bodyman for over 45 yrs and have bought all new tools also and new for aluminum repair and all new ones too... love that paint job....u one heck of a job now too..keep it up

You guys should use the front clip off of the Chevy parts truck to put on Hank truck that way the bed cab and front clip all match
Hank didn’t like the hood on the other one otherwise we probably would have. But the fenders were also a little rough

Hey Coop I think it's really cool what you've done for Hank and his granddaughters and I really think it's awesome to see the work that you do you kind of remind me of some dudes I used to hang out with growing up in my neighborhood I can remember dudes it used to remodel and build trucks from the ground up even cars and other things

While the cab was off I would have replaced some parts and cleaned the frame… nice build iv been working on a 90’ for two years now putting a 400 sbc in it
We’re gonna pressure wash it before we finish assembly! I’m a little partial to the 400 small block myself. My papa loved them

I know what it is like doing a car or truck the first one I ever done Ford Mustang I took the back hacksaw off put a Rover back-end on on the transmission put a Pinto gearbox in on a V12 engine so it was like a drag Racing Car it done 0 to 60 is 8 seconds

It’s getting pressure washed before the rest goes on. We only had the tractor for a short time to get everything swapped.

The work on Hank's truck is good, interesting colour. But seriously far to much talking and not enough action
I think we got quite a bit accomplished in the couple hours we had actually, talking or not. That’s what it takes to keep these videos interesting for people to want to watch. No one wants to watch time lapses.
