They're doing this to cut back on cost. By copying other stadium blueprint designs, it reduces the amount of money that has to be spent on development. the same thing we saw in the 1970's with multipurpose stadiums. This is what happens when owners want a new stadium but don't want to pay to build a new stadium out of their own pockets. The Hunt family is extremely cheap when it comes to facilities. so them copying another stadiums design to build a new stadium doesn't surprise me.

This possible stadium rendering was not leaked. It was presented to the KS Legislature yesterday (April 30th), the last day of the 2024 session. No one "paid" for this rendering, it's just to show what's possible. An actual rendering of what would be built would have Chief's input and would be different. The Chief's have until June '25 to make a deal with Kansas concerning the Star bonds, per local news reports. If you notice, there are no buildings in any direction of this complex rendering!?! Again, it's a possible design rendering. The actual proposed location is next to the Kansas Speedway, The Legions and the Sporting KC soccer stadium. Rumors are the stadium and speedway would share the same parking lot, like the Royals and Chiefs do at the Truman Sports Complex today. But to the west and south of the location is mostly open ground with scattered subdivisions. There are other counties in the KC metro area also interested hosting the Chiefs and Royals also. They too can use Star bonds with no local vote required.
And, Arrowhead is the third oldest stadium in the NFL.
Wasted time reviewing a rendering of an unapproved design. Might do more background research before making suggestions next time!

Arrowhead is not directly surrounded by much. It's sort of industrial, but it's heavily populated in all directions once you get like a mile from the stadium.

Lamar brought the team to MISSOURI, and it should stay here. Seperate from the Royals trying to grt that boondoggle built over 12 lanes of I70 Downtown with everyone being shuttled in.

It would be really cool to have the outside structure shaped like the arrow on the helmet. The one enzone seating part would be shaped in the point of the arrow end the other end would be glass and could be open some for ventilation. Plus some seating there. Or you could have the arrow point end of the structure be the glass end for ventilation with a stands section there thats straight but lower than the top of the staduim. And put the roof on top with the KC in red that lights up. So when you fly above this stadium it looks just like the logo on the helmet. Incorporate a lot of red and white on the out side of the structure. Some in pillars holdind up dome. Use some yellow also. Use a lot of lighting on the roof and arround foundation . For nights.

I agree. I love Truman Sports Complex, and always will, but the area around it, for some reason or another, never really developed. There's nothing around it but a bunch of industrial buildings and a Dennys. The Legends area, where this stadium is proposed, is already a well established entertainment district. Like it or not, today's fans don't just want to go see the game, they want a bunch of other things to do too.
Myself, I'm getting to the age where I would rather watch a Chiefs or a KState game on my couch. Plus, we're all Steelers fans in my house, so I really don't care what happens with Arrowhead...
...but, I know the day is coming when my Royals move out of Kauffman Stadium, and I will be heartbroken. I also don't believe tax-payers should foot the bill either, unless it will be used for Kansas High School State Championships, (which it won't) KU and KState games, etc. Not just Chiefs games and concerts.

And I think you've got it all wrong, if you want to replace Arrowhead and want it to be received well publicly (at least by local fans, and that's all that matters really) the last thing you want to is have a WOW and CRAZY design that looks "cool". That sounds terrible, and in 5 years after it's built it will be "out of style" Arrowhead is 52 years old, it's still one of if not the best overall looking stadiums in the league and its look will literally last till the end of time. The locker room should be extremely large and luxurious with many features that existing stadiums do not have. The food coach areas should be inviting and luxurious for fans and visitors. It should have many restaurants that offer great food and service during the season and off season. A glass roof is a great idea as long as it has features to melt snow and protect against hail damage. The restroom should be large with large stools and privacy. Ideas, ideas and more ideas.
