Just so people know, yes richard puts his money in as a loan to help the business. But richard and his team oversee the business and get paid back. This guy scotty not only paid back the loan in less than one year, they bought a second shop based on richards business model are doing huge amounts of business. In many cases these owners go from little to no take home pay to 250-350k take home pay. Its really about business process and vehicle turns due to efficiency gains. Those gains then allow for fleet accounts which is where the real money is as it is very consistent.
I wonder how many garages Richard fixed up are still open.

I dunno, but I’m curious if they kept ANY of the parts that dude had in his shop…I understand clutter is not good for a functional business but these days not holding onto NOS and/or NIB parts/materials is a guarantee that you’ll not be able to find THAT part you need with how fu**ed up supplier part availability is now. I would have AT LEAST put a storage area above the office or any other mezzanine areas available OR a connex out back with stuff that might not be valuable but hard as hell to source.
He is the owner of it so i would imagine they are still around. A good business man will weed out the unproductive staff. I mean he even thinks aboutthe shops workflow, and the most efficient position for each station
He bought alot of them or became partners with some... he's looking for the next Aaron basically by partnering with other builders the garage makeovers are just extra content for discovery pluss streaming service

I can only imagine the local fb hatred he caught from evicting all the free parkers. He's not wrong for Cleaning house but small towns operate that way sometimes.

I remember when Richard went to one the places he "rehabbed, took over". The owners girl friend showed up in her car. Richard told the "owner" he was holding out on him and took the car. He never discloses what interest he adds for his profit. I've heard some of the shops have gone back to the way they were. Would I bring him in? Nope.
I like it back to another way. where he had old part to give away. Had some old parts for old cars that went to the trash.

My apologies. That machine the Coke machine and the other machines especially the Coke machine does not be long to that business it belongs to coca-cola. And for you to throw it out in the trash that is unacceptable
You know you can buy a vending machine right? Almost no vending machine is owned by the beverage company.
@@Dirty01 I've been in the delivery and customer service business for over 37 years. And every machine that I seen are on loan from soda machines to ice cream freezers including atms. And yes I know some people can buy them for themselves.
