So underrated. They should be right there with Phantom and Crown. I love that the brass arrangements are musical phrases, not just sixteen-note tricks.
Day-um! does anyone else's ballad have the impact this one has? Visually, no one's close. And even musically, I think it's the best one. Just, wow. Love this show's concept and music.
Happened to catch their rehearsal near my town, the night before this video, and even though they were sweaty and in shorts and t-shirts, I was blown away by the complexity of the composition, the choreography. The performance was close to a religious experience, and they genuinely appeared 13:17 to enjoy being on the field!
It’s pure music in motion, not cluttered visually or musically. It really soars at times, and even though the theme is a bit abstract for me it evokes something mystical...a seeker of truth? … a spiritual vagabond? Also my favorite of 2024. And yes, chills.
Good performance! This show goes over the heads of most judges who have grown accustomed to corps using props. This is the way corps used to perform--focusing on music and movement, instead of depending upon props to sell the show.
Indeed. One of the many reasons it's one of my favorite shows this year. I really hope dci goes back to marching without props. It looks so much cooler and impressive, imo
I do agree. However, I would add that they aren't exactly the cleanest corp out there this year. There some intonation issues. It doesn't sound as blended as like their 2018/19 years. That, and its not as seamless as it could be.They have an amazing show, don't get me wrong, and lots of talent, but if they can clean it up next year and dial in, I could see them making at least top 4 or 5. I love that they aren't using mass props, tho. I have respect for that, and I think that alone is worth more points than some of the other cluttered shows. The judges seem to be a little biased on that, but I will say that the coats this year were extremely clean. I love SCV and am a huge 2018 fan. That show ROCKED. Hopefully, they can make it back to their glory days.

It's gorgeous, isn't it? I get chills even when watching it on video. You hear the audience clapping in the middle of it because of goosebumps.

Wow this is surprisingly good, first time hearing their show this season
Got to hear this in person because they stayed at a college in my city before prelims... I LOVED THIS SHOW AND THEY BLEW MY FACE OFF
Incredible! Some of the writing reminds me of their 2016 program! Very happy to see them back on the field😊
This show is perfection, wow!!!
Great Show! I thought it was extremely entertaining!
Very good show this year. Next year is the year to take some risks.
Risks? How about bucking the trend and performing without props? If anything, I think they are being lowballed because they are taking risks.
@@martinosborne9140 I’m taking about making the music and drill harder to compete with the top 3.
@@erroneous3493 Got it. Although, the corps is constantly moving while other corps are doing a quasi-drill and then hanging onto a props.
@@martinosborne9140 Boston doesn’t really have any props either.
kendrick!!
So great to not see any props!!!
This is my favorite show this season. Not sure why its not scoring higher.
