Jupiter Inlet is the most dangerous inlet in Florida, not Haulover Inlet but, Haulover Inlet has the more boat traffic of any inlet in the United States. At any given moment, the waves will get the best of unsavvy captains and send them home with a few learned lessons. Are these girls an inlet Legend or will they be features on Bonehead Boater of the week and The Qualified Captain?

All kinds of boats in Jupiter, FL Palm Beach County transiting one of the most dangerous inlets in Florida. These boats can get themselves in trouble easily if they don't use the correct speed and choose the right lines at Jupiter Inlet. My first boat was a 1961, 17' Cobia runabout. Seems they have gone for bigger since the day.
The young lady did an excellent job navigating the water. She knows what she's doing. Like seeing that much confidence in a lady. Great job
The girls did it text book. Right speed and attitude correction always paying attention. Definitely lots of experience.

its called a crew boat, they use them to swap out provisions, guys, captains, smaller gear on larger vessels that have to keep working

@@RoughInlets probably a dredging barge, I Used to live in Jupiter and it was common, sometimes they are swapping out crews on ocean tugs
My Father in-law captain's the WTF vessel. They work for a dredge company. The vessel is Bayou Chene

My answer would have been a work boat, tounge in cheek but still. What kind of work takes some more looking. She’s built to take it obviously. Going to take more than some choppy inlet to stop her going . : )
The lady skippering the Hydrasport did great. No attempts at being macho. She pays attention. Knows who to use the engines to control the boat's attitude. The Freeman cat skipper has it wired which is a lot more than I can say about so many of the beginners...... I'm a SoCal boat vet going way back to the 60's when the fastest inboard cabin cruisers, etc. made only 40 MPH. I've been at 80 MPH in a flatbottom and skied at 70 MPH. We don't have any breaking inlets here. We do have an ocean that can get very nasty. I've waterskied in the ocean plenty. What's the story on the sportsfishermen boats that have no railings forward of the cockpit? That seems unsafe. Thanks for your videos. Love 'em.
Most new ones don't have bow rails, just got to be sure of your footing and they usually have a lip you can feel with your foot. Some that have people up there underway have a small station instead of the big rails.
She cut from one side of the jetty to the other! Not hitting any waves head on, and always staying at an angle in the trough! Great driving!
Rybovich. Definitely a rental out of WPB inlet. N.W. of Peanut Island. Use to be Moffit inlet marina. My neighbors in the 70s ! 👍🇺🇸

Those Carolina built boats are quite honestly the most beautiful sports fishermen on the planet, Jarrett Bay, Bayliss, Spencer, Scarborough et al. Classic lines, beautiful woodwork, and functional design - the high "carolina flare" bow is meant for cutting through much bigger breakers with ease.
Cold molded hull Lots of work and time to build but super light and fast

I really liked the Jarrett Bay convertible. I think she is stunning, and she sliced her way through the inlet.
I must admit, I am partial to sport fisherman boats as I have a fishing jones.
I think those ladies did ok, I think they could've used a little more throttle and trimmed the engines in to pick the bow up some more.
I really like those Freeman power catamarans, well, all power catamarans. They really are a soft riding boat. You could see how the air cushion affects the ride quality when the boat is coming toward you and you see spray coming out from inbetween the hulls.
I like the content, keep it up.

Thats a crew boat. We have those all over Louisiana. Typically use them to bring people to the rigs that are close in.

Those Crew boats can handle just about any conditions. You can roll it and it will right it self and keep running.
A lot of people really need to watch Gail force twins video on how to drive there boat's in rough water.

The Volvo with diesel engines had an extremely high deep-V haul that can easily cut through four or five foot chop!
That Jarrett Bay 70 is cold molded Hull ! Its incredible amount of work and time to just construct the Hull !
You asked wtf? Its the crew boat / survey vessel for the Hopper Dredge digging offshore brother. Crew live aboard dredge, but the boat running to and from is supplies, bosses and survey bottom for dredge. I used to captain that boat few years back. Good money
Liked my hydra sport until the transoms defect showed up. They were known for air pockets in the transoms. I sold it and got a Grady White.
Good to know, Surveyor didn't find any water or pockets on mine.
Offering a guess at the end I doobie lieve it's a deep water tug and or tender for provisions in rougher seas than smaller craft can safely service

I had a Hydra Sport bass boat back in the early 80's.
I have never been on the bass boats, are they built heavy like there offshore boats
@@RoughInlets Mine was pretty light and fast, but it was only a 17.5ft boat with 150 merc. Earl Bentz left them and started making Triton. I had a 2009 20x2 Triton and it was much heavier with 225 Proxs. It was fast too.
The first young lady in the Hydrosport did a pretty decent job.
How shallow does it get if you go straight out?
A few feet at times. There is a moving bar out there.

@@RoughInlets yes. I live within 15 miles of their factory but there were no white caps unless I missed them. Regardless, JB is the quintessential epitome of perfection in sport fishers hands down.

HCB is Hydrasports (Hydrasports custom boats) the smallest they make is a 42 now

I do believe you are correct, either way, the Carolina built boats show exactly how "not rough" Florida inlets are - those Wanchese built boats are, quite literally, made for crossing the bar in the most dangerous inlets on the east coast.
You got to respect the guys that turn around.
There is no way first boat out has two 2400hp diesels in hull. My crew boats have three 1271 Detroit’s and engine room is massive.
