I love your mindset! I am a 61 year old widow who lives alone. I put my Christmas 🎄 tree up the first week in December or so. I had COVID in June and I have only been doing the bare minimum as I am gaining back my strength. I just take my time now. It eventually gets ✅ DONE.
I am 46 and have had COVID 4 times… I got long COVID the second time I had it and the third time, I was out of full time work for 2.5 months. I KNOW what you mean! It totally messes with your feedback system so it’s easy to over do. Take your time, ease back into your activity. ❤❤❤ I’m still not the same. 😢
OMG same I decided I wanted the whole house decluttered, reorganized, and completely sorted out and decorated by Christmas. Not happening and I have such anxiety about it even though I’m the only one with this time table in my head. I am also the only one who takes care of the house. Mind you I don’t just have one outside job from the house I have three. My partner also has anxiety and depression but still only has one job. I am burning the candle at both ends and ready to combust because I’ve also not been well this whole month. My allergies kicked off, then I broke out in a rash last week, got food poisoning this week, plus my seasonal depression is in overdrive, plus my asthma is kicking off and my eczema because of the cold and I’m still expected to handle this house and the decorations the errands the gifts the shopping the cooking. I just can’t. All I want for Christmas is a new life, a new mindset, a support system, and a maid. Because I am drowning to death. I always am it was the same at my moms house, the same living with my sister, and now the same married I am a one woman band and I ran out of energy some time in grad school. I have been chronically overwhelmed and overburdened since I can remember. I just don’t know what to do. I have started making lists like you say helps. I find it helpful because I have a plan of where everything necessary is going to go. So that’s one thing that gave me relief. It may be sad on my part to admit but some days, you’re my only motivation, sweetie. I appreciate you and this channel a lot. It does feel like I’m working it all out with a friend.

The more I watch your videos, the more I think I might also have executive dysfunction. I never heard of it until now, but the way you describe it sounds like you’re describing me! I’ve always been considered a messy person, but on the inside my brain is screaming at me that I’m a nasty hoarder, and I want to make everything sparkling, but I’m also always procrastinating because I know I’ve left the house too long and now I’m overwhelmed. Your videos are so nice because I don’t feel as alone ❤ EDIT: I actually prefer your voiceovers to music, because I like to watch them while I’m cleaning. It’s like hanging out with a friend. I'm dyslexic and I've noticed b12 helps my symptoms and clears my mind and I get a wave of motivation. I had my bloods done while I was pregnant and was wondering why my brains always foggy but found I was deficient in b12 and since taking them I feel amazing! 😅
Had lack of motivation all my life and brain fog and fatigue etc and was diagnosed with dyslexia as a child and I dropped out of high school at 16 I'm 30 now and kicking myself now not trying b12 sooner 😂 I actually care for my 2 girls really well now and I now am doing study from home I take my girls to playcentre where it's like a preschool that's parent led and maternity leave ends next year so I will be working. Try get bloods done and see what you are deficient in :) ❤

My brother dead this year and i really neglected the house. Cobwebs and dust and clutter everywhere. Since the beginning of November i finally found the motivation to really deep clean and declutter. Because it was so overwelming i did one room at a time. Some took me more than one day but i am getting there. And i also put the christmas decorations up. That makes me happy and want to keep everything tidy. Thats what i love about remy her channel. Remi, I wish I could thank you in person and give you a giant hug. My daughter has been diagnosed with your condition and I recently spent a month with her. Watching her procrastinate almost drove me nuts! But understanding her better now due to your videos, I was able to do what needed to be done on my own without trying to get her involved. She was thrilled that lots was getting done😅 I stayed a month and she has been trying to keep things in order. She has an autistic fully functioning 7 yr. old that is very bright. A bit too smart if you ask me😊. That and a nursing night job makes things even harder. Thank you for your help in understanding her. Love you ❤❤❤
Hi Remi, love your videos 😊 I’m high functioning ADHD and for me personally, if my house isn’t clean and relatively tidy I can’t think straight and there’s even more noise going on in my brain! 😂 Anyway, to speed up the cleaning in my house I do the following… spray or leave things to soak, then go and do something else and come back to it and the dirt comes off far easier, invest in a window vac (you can use them on worktops as well as windows), if you can get a vacuum mop that washes and dries floors and the dirty water gets tipped down the sink (quicker and less hard work). I have to clean a holiday let so I’ve limited time to do an entire property and I’m constantly thinking up ways to speed things up and make life easier. Also, I’m obsessed with Spanish cleaning products because they smell amazing! Oh and magic erasers are great 👌🏻 X
I suffer horribly from task paralysis. Accompanied by chronic pain, this time of year always leaves me stressed to the max 😢 Thank you for the motivation remi ❤
I don't like to use medicines but I know my pain keeps me from getting things done. A slow walk to warm up your leg muscles. Yoga cat pose for the back, & ibuprofen :) My back hurts I hit my dishes 5 minutes at a time on things needing hand washed. Feel better 😊
Some Yoga positions, Acupunture for pain and inflamation, and EFT for anxiety can make a hugd difference. The best, EfT is self applied. We had a quick training with a psychologist, but there are videos about in RUclips. André Lima's channel is a good one. ⚘
Ah, Remi, you are such a breath of fresh air to me. Just you being you and trying to juggle family, housework, job, exercise time and so much more. It's easy to make ourselves feel guilty for not being the perfect person we think we should be when the reality is that we won't ever be, and that's okay. In the states you can buy a pack of 2 mats that are rated at up to 450 degrees fahrenheit temperature, they fit perfectly on the bottom of the oven and keep it clean no matter how much I cook or bake. When it's lost it's life I slip in a new one. I smiled for a week when I found those mats.

I think grease and dirt gets in those spaces we don’t clean often and can cause a bad smell. It looks great! Your oven clean was another satisfying clean. It’s amazing how much a good clean can transform your space. I set small doable goals each day. As long as I have done something productive and accomplished something it makes me happy. Sometimes if I have only 30-45 minutes, I like to see what I can get accomplished in that small amount of time. It’s kind of a game with myself. You would be surprised what you can do.

Remi, I needed this so much! I have been off for five days for the US celebration of Thanksgiving. I wanted to do a deep clean toom but I started doing a big Christmas project because I have mobility issues and I had a friend coming to help me get the display that I DIY'd above my fireplace. It was close to my vision, but difficult with false starts. It took up all my time. I felt so guilty and embarrased that my house was bonkers when he came to help. He is super organized and can get things done three times quicker than I can. He is also a clean freak. He never shames me, but that doesn't stop me from comparing myself to him. Anyway, you help me so much to come out of these sessions where I just beat myself up. You did a great job here too! That stove looks amazing! I loved seeing you chase your Cocker around too! I have a cocker. She's my baby for sure! And thanks so much for sharing your precious son's conversation. Now I can go back to deep cleaning my kitchen. So great to take a thirty three minute break and be motivated. Personally, I love your longer videos. And don't ever change. Keep sharing reality because it is where many of live. xoxo

Decluttering before Christmas is such a lovely idea!! I also saw something the other day where, on Christmas Eve, each kids fills a bag with toys and clothes they don't want anymore and put it under the tree. Santa can take them to the North Pole and gift them to kids the next year. Might be a good way for kids to feel encouraged to declutter and be charitable. 💚 love your videos as always

honestly remi thank you so much for your channel and your videos !!!! I've been watching you for several months maybe a year? I don't remember when I first found your channel at this point, but you've helped me so much !!! I realized just how much today actually. I was thinking about how I broke up with my partner and moved out over the summer, stayed with my mom, and then got into my own apartment at the beginning of October. A couple years ago when I lived alone I would honestly clean like MAYBE once a month, or once every other month, sometimes I would go MONTHS without cleaning for various reasons it has always been a struggle. but after I found your videos, slowly but surely I started cleaning a little more and a little more. I had a hard time keeping up with my ex's mess on top of my own, that's a whole other story, but I was starting to be able to get myself to clean even one room instead of the whole apartment more often because of you. now, since I've moved into my own apartment I've been cleaning more !! for the past month, I've been doing a full clean about once a week on the weekends! I've washed my bedding more since moving here than I used to in 6 months! I got injured a couple weeks ago and wasn't able to walk for a few days so that was frustrating, but now that I've gained some mobility back I've been able to clean again! The comparison to how many times I've cleaned at this apartment vs my first apartment on my own is something I'm very happy with and I truly have you to thank for it. I am eternally grateful you decided to start making videos and I hope the rest of this year goes well for you!!!

I’m American,( and basically have mainly watched British shows since I was a child) ex: “Are you being served “, “Keeping up appearances”, etc. I’d prefer to hear British accent over American, 🤷♀️ think I was born in the wrong country 😂Definitely an age gap when you said you used to love getting a TEXT about cancelled school!😂🤣 Felt really old after that sentence, but laughed at myself!😁 I find your voice very pleasant and your view, outlook and words of encouragement very comforting! Thank you for being REAL! It’s OK, to NOT be OK. Yes social media is a double edged sword, most is not real, then we hold ourselves accountable for not being able to fit our “square shape” way of doing/completing things, in the “round hole”. It is a vicious cycle. Our inner minds can be our worst critics and paralyzer. I related to you a lot in that, I do enjoy cleaning and get obsessive/ perfectionist when doing it, but due to mental health roadblocks and extenuating family responsibilities, find it hard to get started, I’ll procrastinate, then run around flapping an hour before my family get home from work, expecting myself to get things done 🤦🏼♀️🙈. Hi Remi, I've never commented before because I get so absorbed in your videos and I love your wise outlook on life. I think I may have Adhd but not diagnosed. But like yourself if I try to get everything done, every day, I get totally burnt out. All my life I've been trying to find coping skills and feeling like an outsider and a failure. But I know I have wonderful talents such as loving until my heart hurts, singing, compassion and writing poetry. I know this is like an essay but I find it really hard to write a couple of words. The more I watch your videos, the more I think I might also have executive dysfunction. I never heard of it until now, but the way you describe it sounds like you’re describing me! I’ve always been considered a messy person, but on the inside my brain is screaming at me that I’m a nasty hoarder, and I want to make everything sparkling, but I’m also always procrastinating because I know I’ve left the house too long and now I’m overwhelmed. Your videos are so nice because I don’t feel as alone ❤ EDIT: I actually prefer your voiceovers to music, because I like to watch them while I’m cleaning. It’s like hanging out with a friend. Very comforting actually

I'm dyslexic and I've noticed b12 helps my symptoms and clears my mind and I get a wave of motivation. I had my bloods done while I was pregnant and was wondering why my brains always foggy but found I was deficient in b12 and since taking them I feel amazing! 😅
Had lack of motivation all my life and brain fog and fatigue etc and was diagnosed with dyslexia as a child and I dropped out of high school at 16 I'm 30 now and kicking myself now not trying b12 sooner 😂 I actually care for my 2 girls really well now and I now am doing study from home I take my girls to playcentre where it's like a preschool that's parent led and maternity leave ends next year so I will be working. Try get bloods done and see what you are deficient in :) ❤

My brother dead this year and i really neglected the house. Cobwebs and dust and clutter everywhere. Since the beginning of November i finally found the motivation to really deep clean and declutter. Because it was so overwelming i did one room at a time. Some took me more than one day but i am getting there. And i also put the christmas decorations up. That makes me happy and want to keep everything tidy.
Thats what i love about remy her channel. She's not judgemental and everyone has things in their live that are more important than keeping your house in top shape. Just do what can.

Remi, I wish I could thank you in person and give you a giant hug. My daughter has been diagnosed with your condition and I recently spent a month with her. Watching her procrastinate almost drove me nuts! But understanding her better now due to your videos, I was able to do what needed to be done on my own without trying to get her involved. She was thrilled that lots was getting done😅 I stayed a month and she has been trying to keep things in order. She has an autistic fully functioning 7 yr. old that is very bright. A bit too smart if you ask me😊. That and a nursing night job makes things even harder. Thank you for your help in understanding her. Love you ❤❤❤

Hi Remi, love your videos 😊 I’m high functioning ADHD and for me personally, if my house isn’t clean and relatively tidy I can’t think straight and there’s even more noise going on in my brain! 😂 Anyway, to speed up the cleaning in my house I do the following… spray or leave things to soak, then go and do something else and come back to it and the dirt comes off far easier, invest in a window vac (you can use them on worktops as well as windows), if you can get a vacuum mop that washes and dries floors and the dirty water gets tipped down the sink (quicker and less hard work). I have to clean a holiday let so I’ve limited time to do an entire property and I’m constantly thinking up ways to speed things up and make life easier. Also, I’m obsessed with Spanish cleaning products because they smell amazing! Oh and magic erasers are great 👌🏻 X
I suffer horribly from task paralysis. Accompanied by chronic pain, this time of year always leaves me stressed to the max 😢

I don't like to use medicines but I know my pain keeps me from getting things done. A slow walk to warm up your leg muscles. Yoga cat pose for the back, & ibuprofen :) My back hurts I hit my dishes 5 minutes at a time on things needing hand washed. Feel better 😊
Some Yoga positions, Acupunture for pain and inflamation, and EFT for anxiety can make a hugd difference. The best, EfT is self applied. We had a quick training with a psychologist, but there are videos about in RUclips. André Lima's channel is a good one. ⚘

Ah, Remi, you are such a breath of fresh air to me. Just you being you and trying to juggle family, housework, job, exercise time and so much more. It's easy to make ourselves feel guilty for not being the perfect person we think we should be when the reality is that we won't ever be, and that's okay. Our Heavenly Father loves us just the way we are 😊. I happen to think you do a great job. Maybe not always as quickly as you'd prefer, but you're putting the first things first, and that's your adorable sons and your Charlie. Hearing Ike's sweet little voice brought smiles 😊

In the states you can buy a pack of 2 mats that are rated at up to 450 degrees fahrenheit temperature, they fit perfectly on the bottom of the oven and keep it clean no matter how much I cook or bake. When it's lost it's life I slip in a new one. I smiled for a week when I found those mats.

It is a fabulous system, each day you do two to four little chores, and each month you do a thong, 6 months and yearly. Anyway, I appreciate you. I love how you explain your brain. I grew up hiding all my issues because that's how I coped back in the day.... it's ok. I'm ok. Again, please know your videos HELP.❤❤❤❤

I think grease and dirt gets in those spaces we don’t clean often and can cause a bad smell. It looks great! Your oven clean was another satisfying clean. It’s amazing how much a good clean can transform your space. I set small doable goals each day. As long as I have done something productive and accomplished something it makes me happy. Sometimes if I have only 30-45 minutes, I like to see what I can get accomplished in that small amount of time. It’s kind of a game with myself. You would be surprised what you can do.

We put skeletons on the carport roof for Halloween every year...after Halloween, we pop Christmas hats and lights on them and leave them up til after Christmas. 🎄 They're our festive spirits. 💀👻

Remi, I needed this so much! I have been off for five days for the US celebration of Thanksgiving. I wanted to do a deep clean toom but I started doing a big Christmas project because I have mobility issues and I had a friend coming to help me get the display that I DIY'd above my fireplace. It was close to my vision, but difficult with false starts. It took up all my time. I felt so guilty and embarrased that my house was bonkers when he came to help. He is super organized and can get things done three times quicker than I can. He is also a clean freak. He never shames me, but that doesn't stop me from comparing myself to him. Anyway, you help me so much to come out of these sessions where I just beat myself up. You did a great job here too! That stove looks amazing! I loved seeing you chase your Cocker around too! I have a cocker. She's my baby for sure! And thanks so much for sharing your precious son's conversation. Now I can go back to deep cleaning my kitchen. So great to take a thirty three minute break and be motivated. Personally, I love your longer videos. And don't ever change. Keep sharing reality because it is where many of live. xoxo

Decluttering before Christmas is such a lovely idea!! I also saw something the other day where, on Christmas Eve, each kids fills a bag with toys and clothes they don't want anymore and put it under the tree. Santa can take them to the North Pole and gift them to kids the next year. Might be a good way for kids to feel encouraged to declutter and be charitable. 💚 love your videos as always

honestly remi thank you so much for your channel and your videos !!!! I've been watching you for several months maybe a year? I don't remember when I first found your channel at this point, but you've helped me so much !!! I realized just how much today actually. I was thinking about how I broke up with my partner and moved out over the summer, stayed with my mom, and then got into my own apartment at the beginning of October. A couple years ago when I lived alone I would honestly clean like MAYBE once a month, or once every other month, sometimes I would go MONTHS without cleaning for various reasons it has always been a struggle. but after I found your videos, slowly but surely I started cleaning a little more and a little more. I had a hard time keeping up with my ex's mess on top of my own, that's a whole other story, but I was starting to be able to get myself to clean even one room instead of the whole apartment more often because of you.
now, since I've moved into my own apartment I've been cleaning more !! for the past month, I've been doing a full clean about once a week on the weekends! I've washed my bedding more since moving here than I used to in 6 months! I got injured a couple weeks ago and wasn't able to walk for a few days so that was frustrating, but now that I've gained some mobility back I've been able to clean again! The comparison to how many times I've cleaned at this apartment vs my first apartment on my own is something I'm very happy with and I truly have you to thank for it. I am eternally grateful you decided to start making videos and I hope the rest of this year goes well for you!!!

I’m American,( and basically have mainly watched British shows since I was a child) ex: “Are you being served “, “Keeping up appearances”, etc. I’d prefer to hear British accent over American, 🤷♀️ think I was born in the wrong country 😂Definitely an age gap when you said you used to love getting a TEXT about cancelled school!😂🤣 Felt really old after that sentence, but laughed at myself!😁 I find your voice very pleasant and your view, outlook and words of encouragement very comforting! Thank you for being REAL! It’s OK, to NOT be OK. Yes social media is a double edged sword, most is not real, then we hold ourselves accountable for not being able to fit our “square shape” way of doing/completing things, in the “round hole”. It is a vicious cycle. Our inner minds can be our worst critics and paralyzer. I related to you a lot in that, I do enjoy cleaning and get obsessive/ perfectionist when doing it, but due to mental health roadblocks and extenuating family responsibilities, find it hard to get started, I’ll procrastinate, then run around flapping an hour before my family get home from work, expecting myself to get things done 🤦🏼♀️🙈. Hi Remi, I've never commented before because I get so absorbed in your videos and I love your wise outlook on life. I think I may have Adhd but not diagnosed. But like yourself if I try to get everything done, every day, I get totally burnt out. All my life I've been trying to find coping skills and feeling like an outsider and a failure. But I know I have wonderful talents such as loving until my heart hurts, singing, compassion and writing poetry. I know this is like an essay but I find it really hard to write a couple of words. You know when you say you talk a lot over your videos and you're constantly apologizing because you think people don't like to hear it. My view is if they don't like to hear it, they won't watch your videos. Your voice is very calming and it's very sensitive to problems that people have and you seem to be able to put people at ease by knowing the situation that they are experiencing themselves.
