That's a beautiful TJ. So many have gone the way of subtraction by addition, but everything she added to it complimented the TJ soul, without taking away from it. Very well done.
This was possibly the best walk around I have seen -and I’ve seen quite a few. Very clear and organized descriptions. The owner was very pleasant and to the point with sound advice. Love the build!!!!
My wife and I are the original owners of a grey 2000 TJ. We recently got it on 35s running 4.88 gears. We are also running the Under Cover Fab skids. Great video!
Even when I was young 50 years ago most girls did not know how to drive a stick. I learned to drive in a 1963 International Travelall 1200 with a "three on the tree" when I was 15 years old. Learned how to pull and back up a trailer with it as well.
Love it! Channel is perfect for me, I purchased a 2001 sahara 4.0 $tick and so right $Ave Your money and buy right $tuff the 1st X! Great advice on a tj hoping to follow her built 100%
That's a really beautiful Jeep. All go....and done with quality. Not sure where they are from, i'm guessing NC with the Uwharrie talk at the beginning, but one thing they didn't mention, and probably have not had to fight, is rust. A 21 year old TJ on the east coast, even in NC is prone to rust, body and frame. Hope they haven't had to fight that too much!
What spacer height are you running above the front coil spring? Additionally, it looks like you added some pucks to decrease up travel for the bump stop. What is the height of that extension? Sorry for such detailed questions, but I have the same 1.25" body/motor and 2.5" OME lift. After watching this video I ordered 35s. Answers to these questions will help me dial in the front suspension in prep for the upcoming Easter Jeep Safari. Excellent build you have there!!!
I have a 2005 TJ same color as this one. Doesn’t look as good as this one, but hey I’m save and build it my way like she did with hers. Thanks for the video great insight. I need those heat warming seats 😉
Love the jeep. You still running the stock gas tank or got bigger one now? And can't wait to get mine fixed up. I've been waiting a long time too. And love how you drive a stick.
It depends on the tire and wheel combo. Too much backspacing and you might find it rubs the lower control arms in the front. Too little backspacing (3.5 inch for example, and it might rub the plastic part of the flare when fully articulated.
Beautiful Jeep!, I've owned five TJ's. Love them. I can't believe 35"s fit on your Jeep and look so good, with only a 2.5" lift and a BL. I recently got an '04 Rubicon and am about to put a 3" lift on for 33-34" tires. Wondering if it be better to go with a 2" lift and 1" BL?
My initial reaction was the same, surprised about 35s on an OME 2.5" SL and 1.25" BL. That lift combo is more usually paired with 33s. I guess this must be running a lot of bump stop, and the wheeling done does not require huge articulation. Is that about right?
Great Long lasting TJ but you're bumper's don't add much protection it seems And are your Aluminium Rick slider's even bolted to the frame if not they're trash and of course Steal is a lot stronger than aluminum by leap year's. weight savings notta 😂😆
Most TJ rocker guards are designed to bolt to the tub, not the frame. The stubby front bumper and slim rear bumper are used less for protection and more for approach/departure angle increases. They also help cut down on weight. Aluminum is plenty strong and has become the most popular go-to for bumpers/skids these days as the weight savings is pretty substantial.

I daily my old tj too.. it's loud and feel every bump on the road but love it...especially when she's naked.
❤ Manual JK Owner here. I like that jeep!

Excellent walk around! Just bought 2003 TJ with 71k miles. This build is nearly the same direction I'm going in with mine.
Right on!

Very smart to have a fire extinguisher on each side.
Building a '97 4.0 Sport. Project Rust-Erasion.
Love watching these vids for inspiration and ideas.
What a good looking Jeep!!
It's a TJ on 35s.
Woo-hoo.
Super clean and reasonable build! This is the direction I want to take my '97 (though it's not a daily).

Simple yet strong. Love your Jeep TJ
Nice tj. Miss my tj. Please do more walk around videos. Especially of jeeps
Thank you! I have more coming.
Love this TJ!! I have a very built JK and a 99 TJ on 33s and I'm not sure which one I like to drive most. There is something about a TJ.

Love the Jeep! That was my exact setup before I started building a 1 Ton Jeep TJ!

She is based out of Wilmington, NC. She has done a pretty incredible job keeping that Jeep rust-free.

Good eye. This is my question as well. It looks like she has a level kit and a bump stop extension that was not mentioned in the video.
I have a 2000 TJ too. I frickin LOVE mine. I'll never part with it. Nice TJ!
That's awesome, Audra!!
Such a clean TJ! Love the wheel and tire combo!
Awesome looking Jeep! Great feature.
I drive an 02 tj with 35s everyday . Gas mileage is less than desirable but I can’t part with it
What is the swayloc called(antirock, rockloc). I have it on my jeep and this is the first time I see it on a jeep. I bought it 2 years ago.
Loving the series!!!
Thank you.
Looks super clean and awesome!!
Nice tj build
Nice video always good hear walk around videos especially with the people who know what there talking about
@ 4:44 That 2.5" OME lift is sitting under 2" donuts.

that is a nice rig.
Nice TJ
what is the brand of the little puck lights? thank you.
Did the Caurabu seats come heated or was that an add on?
Love the jeep. You still running the stock gas tank or got bigger one now? And can't wait to get mine fixed up. I've been waiting a long time too. And love how you drive a stick.
It's the stock tank with a Savvy gas tank skidplate.
Love it
beautiful jeep
Build Sheets (at least mine) do not say what kind of springs, just says "Spring - Left Rear", Spring - Left Rear", . . . etc
Nice work, Ali
Thank you!
Since she’s running 35’s with that lift is it safe to say without the body lift I could run 33’s? OME 2-2.5 inch lift like hers.
Yes. You can run 33s with 2.5 inches, no problem.
@@DrivingLine nice! Think it will rub off-road?

@@DrivingLine oh dang I didn’t realize that! I wanted to go with OEM wheels and get the Kenda Klever in 33x9.5R15 for pizza cutters.
Do you happen to know what the backspacing is on those Walker Evans?
They have 4 inches of backspacing.
what is the colour name this vehicle?

Lower is better for sure. The control arms on the TJ are very short. So, anything you can do to keep the angle closer to stock, the better.

brand on those hood lights?
It's so funny how videos like these are the opposite of what I'm used to seeing; thounsands in upgrade but the engine is like bone stock lol
Very nice tj, what is the back spacing on the rims?
It has 4 inches of backspacing.
Nice looking TJ...which rear tire carrier is that?
It's the Exogate from GR8TOPS.
God I need to upgrade my suspension…
Nothing wrong with that!
My TJ is also 2000's😂
Nice Jeep. Just enough, not to much.
Well nothing wrong with that
Imagine being a man that can’t drive a stick…
Sadly, it seems like it’s a dying art. I was stoked she was so comfortable doing it off-road as it’s often hard to get B-roll when I am filming solo.
